- Mountain bike riding in the Pennines. Today it was raining in Lancashire and lovely blue skies over the border in West Yorkshire. Single track trails above Litttleborough and Ripponden as we headed over to Baitngs dam and then climbed up to the summit of Manshead which is a fantastic spot on the open moorland of my local hills. I've had a few good sessions in the Blue Ball pub, back in the late 70s, its now houses I believe, one Sunday a group ride stopped at said pub, only to stay a too long, their decent of Blackstone Edge was crazy, i was a passenger in a car, they weaved down full of Dutch courage at a good 40mph 👍🚴♂️
I know what you mean Mark, in the days of drink driving ( back in the 70's) that's where they all used to head over to along with the Beehive , New Inn and the Fleece. Also other places in Todmorden - the Sourhall was a place where they used to have a few pints. I am not condoning it but it's a fact.

They are a good set of lads Jon, I don't get out with them like I used to which I should do more often. I need an eight day week to fit things in. And yes we've gotta keep fit pal , once you stop it's a long path back to get it back.
Now that was a a good ride and some well nice vives last time I was on bike never went well hope you have a top week guys

Great inspiring stuff, well made film as always. I’m planning to get my Merlin out in the Autumn (which is now🤔 in August?) and ride between Roeburndale (High Salter) and the Slaidburn area. It’s on the OS map as Hornby Road. Ever done it Daz?
I have cycled around Hornby , I would have to look my self Sophie. It's good to have the option of a road bike and a MTB to spice things up.
It’s a cracking part of the world that we live in Daz, all that right on the doorstep. I’ve been meaning to try that new path around batting’s. I have gimbal you can try if you want sometime. It’s water resistant so doesn’t mind a dose of rain,
I need a gimbal and have thought about getting a DJI camera with one built in. The problem I can see with them is that all the riding and dismounting etc is heavy going for such a delicate thing.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures I have a hero 7 and a hero 8 and the stabilisation is mega out of the box. I had the 7 replaced so it's brand new and I don't use it often. You can try it out on a ride if you like.

The camera angles do not do it justice but I landed on a soft heap of smell cut grass.

@@tazyt3388 I'm a cross country rider pal. I use my pace from the road to keep things moving in the right direction but as for jumps, I just can't do em pal. (I Wish I could though)
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures it's all about pace and rhythm mate and as we get older the bones don't heal as quik I don't jump big anymore but when the tyres leave ol terrafirma don't do anything erratic is the best plan .it was a good vid none the less man awsum

As you know Owen, I like to have my finger in many pies, and I said pies too, lol. This is why I haven't shaved the legs because it's also great to be a hairy #rsed mountain biker.
His missus was on it and what a cracking bit of kit it was David.
All these recent cycling uploads aren’t for me. Too much Lycra for my tastes :-D

Fair enough Matt, I appreciate your openness. I can recommend PioneerPauly for sniping videos, I work full time and run this channel as a hobby and I always reply to my comments rather than say " I do read all your comments" Stay buddy and just don't watch the lycra stuff
