Thank you so much buddy. Your comments are greatly appreciated. I'm no expert, and like I said in the video. Every day is a learning day. Maybe our paths will cross one day 👍
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures it’s such a great hobby isn’t it. Definitely more enjoyable when we find some candy in the pan though. I was speaking with my brother about you the other day and maybe arrange a meet up sometime.
Return of the famous crabsticks! Nice result there MrDaz. It's always interesting to prospect a new area, you never know what might be waiting to be found. :o)
The trips out to the rivers are all based around - what's for lunch SGP 😊And like you said, a new river is always an interesting prospect. We all live in hope of finding the next nugget...
Met you a few years ago in Coniston with some of the boys I’d taken from a children’s home. Still loving the videos. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the content 😊
Yes, I recall that moment Josef, I bet the youngsters will be grown up now. I have spent the last 20 years working with YP and SEN. Hope you are well buddy👍
@@MrDazP1adv3nturesI believe so yes. They move on at the age of 12/13 and believe most will be around 16/17 now. I can guarantee they still remember that day though. Cheers
@josefmoul2823 thanks for getting back to me and all the very best for the future. I have another nice little video coming up soon where I'm at a place I call the "Wee Scottish burn" and I find a nice little picker 👍
Thought I’d pop along to see a dedicated gold prospector in action, very impressive Darren, your in one of my most favourite places to be Scotland 🏴 a bit remote for me but stunningly beautiful, a great hobby, ‘The Call of the Wild’ must be in your blood lad to carry all that equipment up hill as well, that’s a massive achievement, well done 👍 you will sleep well tonight 😅
Ever since I was a young boy I have played out in my local hills Bernice. I never knew at the time, but as I got older, I realised that the great outdoors was always going to be my salvation and eventually it would become a part of my life. This place is truly remote but it is also a great place to escape from the modern day nonsense that seems to appear in our daily lives. The gold is a bonus.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures I couldn’t agree more Darren, I would love to escape from this crazy nonsense that is taking over our lives, if I was younger and in better health I would be in the Scottish Highlands like a shot, I spent over forty years there with my late husband, it was a magical place and will always be in my heart and thoughts, I agree the gold is a bonus indeed, maybe if you find enough you could buy your own little island one day, anything’s possible! If you have a dream follow it! 🤗
Thank you kindly Bernice for sharing your thoughts once again, it is lovely to hear you fondly recall so many happy times spent with your late husband. God bless you...
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Your welcome Darren, I could wax lyrical for ever about our adventures in the Scottish Highlands, but I’ll leave you to your wonderful haven and amazing Scottish air, if you are still there that is, by the way the video footage is excellent, I presume that is curtesy of your mate Steve, well done 👍 see you when you’re back on the road 👋
Another good prospecting trip out mate 👌🏼 looks like you had a great time and as for the weight in your panning gear i hear you my friend 😂 catch up soon
Nice one Philip. Plenty of energy in a rice cake. It's tough doing this sort of stuff and by the time you get back to the camp, you know you have had a work out 👍

Daz my friend I'm sat with a grin on my face as big as a crescent moon all of the vid was fantastic, The best thing to me was the tranquillity, do I need to say anymore 😊
Hello Allan, on some rivers you can get permission and on others there appears to be a general view that it goes on and is enjoyed by the hobbyist. The authorities don't like people fishing on the rivers with out a license more than panning and like wise some places where you can get permission, there are restrictions due to spawning grounds up to the 1st of June
Daz, I’ve manufactured a drop riffle sluice and would like your thoughts on it. If you’re interested in trying it out, please let me know and I’ll send one your way. No charge of course 👍🏻
This all depends on the ground you are working and how many hours you work at the river. I would estimate that if you panned and sluiced the gravels 7 days a week for 20 weeks you wouldn't be far off an ounce . If you went out once a week on Sunday for example, you would be looking at around 3 years to accumulate your goal.🙂
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures cheers ime from Midlands so wouldn't bother in my local rivers but I gave up fishing years ago and have done a lot of hiking and wild camping in the peak district past couple years I love outdoors and I've tried metal detecting few years back but found nothing but old penny's cow bells nails old soda cans and lead 🤣 so might try gold hunting now as I love gold jewellery like treasure hunting and like being outdoors so seems perfect for my new hobby 👍

Ha ha ha. That made me chuckle Terry. You and I know it should be a different kind of heaven...
Not bad,looks pure!
It is well reputed to be very pure gold up here
Really want to get into this looks so fun
Sure thing my friend.
It is physically challenging but it takes you to some amazing places.👍
@ know any good spots in the south of the uk?
@kggg5469 I don't, Devon and Cornwall in the SW have gold.
The Dart..
Yes
OH Yes Franklin 👍
You need an off-road e-bike, Daz ! Better than yomping all that gear.
That sounds like a good idea. Some of the hikes in are tough going. It's a good job I ride my bike a lot to keep fit 😀👍
Do you need a permit/permission to pan any river in scotland?
Hello Allan, on some rivers you can get permission and on others there appears to be a general view that it goes on and is enjoyed by the hobbyist. I am planning a gold panning trio to scotland. Someone with a good heart can tell me a good area easy to reach with nice gold?
Camping at the Mennock pass is great and there's gold in the river too.
You can get a permit from the museum up the road
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures thank you will give it a look

How many grams you got so far ?
That's a good question...
Not that much really to be honest 👍
Serouse question how long do u think it would take roughly to get 1 oz of gold panning and slucing in welsh rivers ?
