Mostly due to O'Connor taking significant time on stage 6 and wearing red for 13 stages, otherwise Roglic would have been in red for the majority of the Tour and it would have been a bit of a procession.

It actually was the worst... you knew who would win from the start, despite him not care about it or being really that superior. Every mountainstage won by the break, Wout crashing out, f*cking annoying grand tour. God bless we have Pogacar these times.

@@TheFlowZoneX It's very hard to understand he always tried to follow wheels. The first time he was dropped, OK, he was probably trying to play the mental game by pretending he wasn't going to crack, but once Roglic knew he would crack on the next uphill finishes, BOC kept making the same mistake. Still hard to see him winning with better support / a better tactical / pacing plan, but it could have been closer.

This has been the best GT of 2024. If you guys were making a joke in the live stream, about shortening the Vuelta & Giro by a week I apologize for being stupid. But, when the only interesting stages in the Tour were the sprints, somethings wrong.
Roglic had to ride to make up for giving BO 5 minutes, Kern Pharma victories, WVA crash changed the points totally, ED 2 wins.
Please feel free to list some highlights of the Tour other than Cav’s win. TP destroyed every breakaway, zzzz. I love mountain stages and breakaways, that was this race.
Finally, the adage that the racers make the race. This year this was never more true. TP totally dominated the Giro and Tour. At least the Vuelta was interesting.

However, IMO TDF 2024 was raced at a higher overall level and my highlights included UAE's teamwork on the Galibier, the break-through of Eritrean Girmay, the sentimental wins of Bardet, Campenaerts and Turgis, TP's and JV's record-breaking performances on Isola 2000 and the sheer dominance of TP, a superb, generational athlete on the stages he won. Cav 35 was a bonus. Just another perspective from a cycling fan...
