I appreciate the sentiment. But it's often apples and oranges. The poor just don't have the capital to set up housing complexes and healthcare companies. It's the poor that get abused by those companies. It's obviously not a black and white issue, but I think a fair outcome is still consistent with profitability.

Yes... Most of them are rich because they run profiteering businesses of industry, many of which create garbage products that are only 'gimmicks' created for the sole purpose of turning a profit. The result is a bunch of industries which consume resources, pump-out products no one really needs and ultimately end up in landfills. This is only made worse with "planned obsolescence", furthering the destructive cycle all so they can be more profitable.

Idaho potato farmers were told in June that they are no longer allowed to water their crops, due to drought. The potato crop just went in back in February. The agreement with the Saudi’s expires today, no more reserve currency status for the dollar. Hyper inflation coupled with skyrocketing food prices, due to scarcity equals famine.

Its not just small farmers being targeted. My municipal government came through here about 3 weeks ago and bulldozed down the community garden I had built for my neighbors. It was completely self sustaining with compost and 14 rainwater tanks. And I'm in a RED state, Oklahoma. Our city officials are supposedly Republicans. We have to completely dismantle all of these systems all the way down to our local governments.

And yes, I tried going about it the "legal" way but city officials wanted me to become a non profit before they would consider allowing me to garden there. And that was after telling me that I would only need to be an LLC which I reluctantantly got to make them happy. I won't be renewing it though. We should not have to pay to garden on city property.

My take on your topic, diverges from your analysis, in a specific manner. What you are discussing, is what I have tried to undertake and failed. You are essentially playing in their game, with their rules, and “they”, I believe to be enemies of our country, not just some illogical and misguided people. It’s a well conceived and thought out propaganda methodology. As to the credit system for farmers, what has happened to the Co Op that farmers created? My uncle ran the third largest grain silo in the country, if not the world at that time, in Lincoln Nebraska, so I got a little info from him on farmers and their Co Op operations. Surely, not every banker, financial, hedge fund, clerk, bookkeeper, or educated money market person, is buying off on this narrative? Crowd “fund a farmer”, make depositing your money, not in a bank, to be stolen, but in a product to be produced for living. I don’t have the wherewithal to figure it out quickly, but I’m absolutely sure there are tens of thousands if not millions of people who could figure this out. Take the financial away from the people who want to rule you. They are the real ones stuck in the method they use. The system isn’t broken, it’s the people running the system, at least folks, get that part right, and the sick politicians you put in power unattended to.
Think outside box, and set up micro systems, macro is too much to deal with to begin, but keep the interactions personal so you know who you are dealing with. Farmers, like fishermen, have the desire to run their own lives, something more people should consider, and as such, they are a little harder to convince by the narratives, which is the psychological attack which is being made on this country. Folks, we are not broke, we have the resources and wherewithal to build whatever we need. We don’t need outside of country bankers, providing us with financial help. They only want to influence, control, and steal, what we have. People in most communities are still asleep. I don’t watch “TV” and spend little time on socials, but at least I’m aware of what’s going on in the world. Support local. Don’t criticize paying a fair price for small producer products. Their costs are scaled to the size of their operations. My almost 90 year old dad recently said to me, “I can’t believe all the different places and ways you go to in order to get your food…” I replied, I won’t put garbage in our bodies and we HAVE to support small. Our food bill is our largest expense outside of housing. Choices. Make the right ones. Our lives and the lives of our grandchildren depends upon us doing the right things.

I agree with you that those trigger words in that headline or in that article could be problematic for a significant number of people. It seems like there is a significant amount of agriculture that is not directly related to food anymore with corn and soy beans being grown so much, and contamination of our water resources by industry which includes agriculture and our air chemicals and vehicle admissions and environmentally inappropriate production models like confined animal, feeding operations, consuming amount of food and creating concentrated pools of waste, being some legitimate concerns by non-farming citizens. That being said,farmers need to assess their operations and make sure that they are engaging in practices which are minimally destructive to the environment by conserving their soil and minimizing and chemical use and producing real food and not just fuel or industrial oil

It is a difficult future and yet the denial of dwindling water resources and the damage being done to the biosphere with massive factory meat farms is not helping the situation. The problem I have with buying from local farmer is that buyingfood they grow is extreely unhealthy. They use toxic sprays and Glyphosate ridden everything. I grow my garden and meat organically but my farming neighbors think nothing of areal spraying my land for their own selfish reasons. Which wiped out 2 neighbors bee colonies.and rendered my garden non-organic.
I agree that no farming, no food. But oh how I wish the farmers were more concerned with health and what their bad farming practices do to people like me, and less concerned with ease of profits.
Yes we have had 3 years of excessive grasshoppers, but I don't have the problem because of my free range chickens. When I suggested that to my spray happy neighbor he said he didn't want chicken poop on his side walk and poarch. (Rolling my eyes). I have a hose which takes care of that problem when it occurs which is NOT excessive and less problem than the grasshoppers. . I only have 6 chickens who keep my place grasshopper free.around my house and I fence them out of my garden. They keep the perimeter bug free so no problem in the garden. Silly "gentlemen farmers".

Grass feed beef has a nasty taste. I made a mistake in buying a half of beef grass fed. I gave it all away.
Sorry, eat it when you can, You had some nasty experiences which is not representative of grass feed. Unless you are trying to spread false information. Grass feed is delicious but t don’t buy those single frozen packages, only fresh.

@@douglasbailey7633 Never heard of that. Lived in Mexico and some small farmers let their cows eat whatever, even in an old weeded lot. Junky weeds that is. The taste is terrible and yes you could call it grass feed. Best to know your farmer what they are feeding their cows to make the right final judgment on grass feed. Good ranchers take their herds and follow good husbandry, this is their lively hood. Know your source.
