This may help you understand the issues with LED lights. The LED lights have a converter that converts 110vac to a DC voltage. The converter gets hot and the vents let air pass and remove heat. The lights I have repaired had capacitors that failed due to heat and the liquid leaks out due to the seal failure. I replaced the capacitors with higher temperature ones but in a few years they failed again. The next thing I was going to do was to use an external LED driver box and would recommend this if your lights fail. I went down a different path and found 2ft-3ft LED rectangle motion detection lights that daisy chain . The price is 4 lights for $13. I installed an adapter that converts a light bulb socket to 110v outlet and plugged in the lights. The lights connect in a daisy chain. The lights run much cooler and they are 2 years old now. For the house lighting, I found on sale on USA made LED bulbs at Walmart closeout area years ago. The price was still double the price of the China bulbs . I bought the bulbs and they are still working. They run hot so I took one apart to see why. They have capacitors that are not like the ones with liquid in them that fail with heat. You can buy screw in motion detectors for your light if you want your lights to turn on when you drive into your garage or walk into the garage.
Very cool item MagDad. I replaced the fluorescents in my garage with handing LED's and it makes a world of difference. I will keep those in mind for future applications.
My garage was that clean, once. 😂 I have been renovating my rental property and my next step is laundry room and carport lighting. I think your video just helped me decide what lights I wanna use, thanks. Cheers
We are committed to parking 2 cars in the garage, so we have to keep it tidy. These lights would be ideal if you already have the screw in sockets in the ceiling.
Number 1, NOBODY has that clean of a garage! Bravo! Number 2., I had installed about 8 of the led strips in my garage which I am very pleased with, but I decided to put up 2 of those your showing in some places that I really want more lighting. I have not talked to anyone that has tried these bulbs who was disappointed. Great video!
Hey !Bonjour Magdad, vraiment vos nouvelles lampes sont bien supérieures à celle que vous aviez. Il n'y a pas photo, elles éclaires beaucoup plus que les anciennes. Très bon achat mon ami. ❤
Good video Magdad! I have several of these style bulbs/lights that I use in my shop, my cellar and attic. The difference is just amazing. Thanks for sharing. I know you know this, but if you paint those walls with primer or white it will be even brighter, but who has time paint, we have tools to restore! 🤣
Definitely made a noticeable difference. I am impressed with the rapid advance leds have made in numerous applications in just a few years. I notice it in automotive applications. You have a nice garage.
Thanks Magdad, that looks a worthwhile improvement, impressive coverage for what is a large space and height ! I wish our garages in the UK were the size of American ones, yours is around 25% bigger in all dimensions than ours and most modern family cars no longer fit in ours !
Hey there, Magdad. Yep, made a big difference in your indoor garage. I have one of those under one side of the tractor shed and it really lights up the jernt. 👍🏻👍🏻
It's a big difference! Now no mistake can go unnoticed... I have been looking for some like that to add extension to and install in a few can light fixtures - good review
@357magdad i have my shop in 2 switches... 1 for leds, the other for incandescent - i use the incandescent alot cause I just like the look and glow...but you can't beat leds for brightness, I dont think...
I purchased the six panel lights. My garage has a low ceiling, but 5:05 I ha five lights allowing me to throw light into the corners better. You should consider adding over the door storage since you have that high ceiling.
Looks like a significant improvement. Also a couple coats of inexpensive light tone paint over that browned drywall would really make a difference. I've done that in several homes I've owned.
Seen a few of the Aoretic LED lights before and they are really bright a lot brighter than the camera is not picking up they work really well in very dark places .. Great Product Review .. Take care enjoy your day see you on Sunday morning video
I'd say that was a good purchase, i fitted an LED strip in my shed and its great, the only downside is the shadows, need a smaller, or adjustable, one as well. Im getting a bit of envy looking at that nice sized garage!
I use those style bulbs in my garage and i even bought my brother in law a set for his garage and he loves them. I've been using these for about 4 years now and I've had to replace once. The brand i bought from Ollies seems to last about 2-3 years and the the amount of light they produce is far superior to any other bulb i have ever tried in my shop.
I bought something similar a few years back to try in my shop. Light was great but when I turned it on it effects my fm radio nothing but static, turn light off radio plays fine. Wonder if yours do that as well. Thanks for the video.
I use lights like these in my garage and attic. And I love them !!! Are those snow shovels ???!!! I've never owned or held one of those !!! One final question..... Why don't builders finish out garages, in some parts of the country ? My garage walls are finished and painted, as nicely as my interior walls.
My brother in law tried that style in his garage, and they lasted about a month. I'm not sure about the brand, but it came from Amazon. I'm going to rewire his garage and add more lightning and receptacles as it needs it.
I thought you lived in a condo type building. I did not thInk it would come with a two car garage, espcially one with unfinished drywall. Did you move recently?
Interesting lights. They do make a BIG difference. I personally like 6000K lights, for me the white light is better for working. Now if only BigClive had these, he could assess if they are being overdriven. I have so many LED bulbs with packaging stating e.g., 10,000 hrs, but which last less than 100 hours. Normally some component like a capacitor fails, or some of the LED's fail because they are being overdriven. A good improvement for your garage. Dave.
Ah you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!
I always knew your shop was clutter-less but your garage has even less! Bravo! 😃👍
We are committed to parking 2 cars in the garage so we have to keep it clutter free.
That is the cleanest, most uncluttered garage I’ve ever seen on U tube.

Thanks for the review of what appears to be a product that will greatly improve lighting using existing bulb fixtures.
These lights are great, I have had several in my shop and through out the house for 3 years now and they work great, Thanks for sharing Magdad
We''re slowly replacing out lights with LED as they burn out.
I have one of these in my attic and it does WONDERS. Awesome little product
I've been wanting to try them for a while. I hope they last.
Looks like they worked out very well. Thanks for the review and link, Magdad! 👍
Thanks! I hope they last!

Thanks John! We are committed to keeping two cars in that garage so we have to keep it organized.
Hey !Bonjour Magdad, vraiment vos nouvelles lampes sont bien supérieures à celle que vous aviez. Il n'y a pas photo, elles éclaires beaucoup plus que les anciennes. Très bon achat mon ami. ❤
Thanks Patrick! The old lights were 100W and 75W incandescent "Edison" bulbs.
I have had these in my basement for a couple years and they make a huge difference.
Thanks! I hope they last!

Thanks Pat! Mrs Magdad insisted on an attached two car garage when we were house shopping 20 years ago.
She is smart. Our garage is not attached. Attached it better.@357magdad
Cool product 👍 my father put those in his basement workshop and they really do make a big difference 👍
Thanks! It seems like an easy way to update the old socket fixtures.
Thanks Magdad, that looks a worthwhile improvement, impressive coverage for what is a large space and height ! I wish our garages in the UK were the size of American ones, yours is around 25% bigger in all dimensions than ours and most modern family cars no longer fit in ours !
Thanks Andy! Mrs Magdad insisted on a two car attached garage when we were house shopping 20 years ago.
Looks like an excellent purchase, quite a difference in illumination.
Thanks Larry! I hope they last!
Hey there, Magdad. Yep, made a big difference in your indoor garage. I have one of those under one side of the tractor shed and it really lights up the jernt. 👍🏻👍🏻
Mrs Magdad and I were impressed with the difference.

I've been waiting for those old fashioned incandescent bulbs to burn out for over 10 years...
@357magdad i have my shop in 2 switches... 1 for leds, the other for incandescent - i use the incandescent alot cause I just like the look and glow...but you can't beat leds for brightness, I dont think...
Keep banishing that darkness, Magdad! 😄
I'll try Tom!😎

I have some high shelves on the wall that was behind me in the video.
Great video. I put one of these lights ( different brand ) in my shop last year and I am very pleased with it.
Thanks Mike! I hope they last!
Looks like a significant improvement. Also a couple coats of inexpensive light tone paint over that browned drywall would really make a difference. I've done that in several homes I've owned.
It is definitely brighter. I'm not painting.
What a really big difference!
Mrs Magdad was also surprised.
Seen a few of the Aoretic LED lights before and they are really bright a lot brighter than the camera is not picking up they work really well in very dark places .. Great Product Review .. Take care enjoy your day see you on Sunday morning video
Mrs Magdad says the garage is like an operating room now! Sunday is Ground Hog Day...
Your right! It does look like a TIE Fighter. I think I will get one. Thanks for sharing this review.
Give them a try John! Time will tell if they last....
I was wondering about those for an outbuilding. Looks good, the price is certainly right. Thanks for the review
The are actually about $5 less than what I paid right now. Link in description.
There would be considerable electricity savings as well. Good review Magdad!
Probably, but I don't use those lights much. The garage door openers have lights that come on when the doors open.
Great review, looks like a great light.
Thanks! I like that they screw in a standard socket and are aimable.
I'd say that was a good purchase, i fitted an LED strip in my shed and its great, the only downside is the shadows, need a smaller, or adjustable, one as well. Im getting a bit of envy looking at that nice sized garage!

@357magdad a wise woman indeed 👍🏻
Thanks for the review
You're welcome Tony! We'll see how long they last...
The old fashioned incandescent bulbs I replaced were up there for at least 10 years. I don't think the new LED lights are gonna make it that long.
@357magdad my first set didn't make it as long but they were definitely better than the incandescent buls.
I bought something similar a few years back to try in my shop. Light was great but when I turned it on it effects my fm radio nothing but static, turn light off radio plays fine. Wonder if yours do that as well. Thanks for the video.
I don't have a radio in the garage. I do have hanging LED lights in my basement shop and the radio is not affected.
@357magdad that's good to hear, I will try your brand. Thanks.
I use lights like these in my garage and attic. And I love them !!! Are those snow shovels ???!!! I've never owned or held one of those !!! One final question..... Why don't builders finish out garages, in some parts of the country ? My garage walls are finished and painted, as nicely as my interior walls.
I'm glad they're working for you Steve! I would have been nice if the builder painted the garage when the condo was built in 1989.
My brother in law tried that style in his garage, and they lasted about a month. I'm not sure about the brand, but it came from Amazon. I'm going to rewire his garage and add more lightning and receptacles as it needs it.
I haven't had good luck with LED bulbs lasting either.
I thought you lived in a condo type building. I did not thInk it would come with a two car garage, espcially one with unfinished drywall. Did you move recently?

A good improvement for your garage.
Dave.
I hope they last a while. The incandescent bulbs were up there for at least 10 years.
Nice, I have thought about those for my shop;
Give them a try!
More light less wattage win win. I put them in my garage as well can’t beat it plus you will get more hours from it too
I haven't had good luck with LED bulbs lasting. The two old fashioned Edison bulbs that I replaced were up there for over 10 years.
Paint ceiling and walls white!!!
Thanks for watching. I have no plans to paint the garage.
Ah you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!
Easy Bane, easy...
@357magdad it popped in my mind when you read the package 😅
Ahhh, my eyes.... i prefer the dim old ones 😂
I'll send you the bulbs. They're probably collector's items now!
Get some paint, now!
Thanks for watching. I have no plans to paint the garage.
👍
Thanks!
How is your garage not full of junk?
We are committed to parking 2 cars in the garage.
@357magdad you're a better man than me 😂
The new lights seam more white light.
6500 K is supposed to mimic bright daylight.
60-100 Watts according to google. Edit: For an LED light.
The Amazon description calls them 80 Watt equivalent.
GWB is sucking the light
To reiterate, I'm not painting.
