You, my friend, are beyond brilliant!!! I struggled so much getting this to work!! I deleted files, redownloaded drivers, I was getting SO frustrated!! THANK YOU for putting things so simply! FOR ANYONE STRUGGLING TO GET YOUR DRIVER TO CHANGE VERSIONS....Mine kept popping up at 3.0 for at least half a dozen times! I was about ready to QUIT! TRY THIS!! Open your system preferences, go to printers, delete your Epson ET printer from the list. Re-add your Epson ET printer, but instead of letting the computer choose the software, YOU need to manually choose it! You will see at the bottom of the screen "Use:" and it automatically defaults to "Auto." From the drop down, choose to "Select Software." Find your printer, click it, and then click ok. You should see the driver number change once you click on the Options & Supplies button! VOILA!! Hope this extra info helps anyone who was stuck like me!!

Thank you so much for this info. I followed your instructions and it worked. I finally got it to switch from Driver 3.0 to 12.62. I have a question though, I'm running macOS Ventura 13.4.1(c), but, after deleting and re-installing my printer several times, the driver, so far, will only go up to 12.62. Is this the highest version this Epson driver will go or do I need to do something else to get a driver version that is at least is as high as what my mac is running (13.4.1)? I appreciate any advice you can give.

You are a life saver!!! You are the only video that I have seen that has mentioned deleting the old epson files. I kept deleting and installed the driver over 20 times and I was close to crying of frustration because I couldn't see the printing preferences option. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!

I'm clearly a newbie when talking about sublimation. I just bought an epson ET2720 printer and thanks god I found your video! I didn't know that I needed to add an ICC profile that matches my printer to have a better quality sublimation printing. I bought Hiipoo sublimation ink and had to download directly the ICC profil out of their website, adding to your instructions, it now works pretty well and could notice a difference! Thanks again and please continue to make videos like this! 🙂
😱 I absolutely need to thank you so very much! I converted my ET and for the life of me couldn’t figure out why my printer wasn’t working properly. Once I watched your video and notice that the printer drivers weren’t the right version and that I had my printer set to “Air print” instead of the name of the printer, it was a game changer!!!! I haven’t been able to do any test runs because of this. Thanks to you I’m able to get started!!! I’m so so excited!!! Thank you!!!!
Kayla, I’ve just got to say, time and time again, when I’ve been looking for something in regards to Cricut and/or sublimation, it just seems like I always end up on one of your videos to finally get stuff figured out, so good job.
Thank you so much for this video. The details helped me troubleshoot the issue I was having with limited print setting options showing up. I had to delete and reinstall and your instructions helped immensely. On the third try it worked! I hadn't deleted all of the Epson files on my HD before the 2nd try. And with the 3rd tired I plugged in a USB cable instead of installing by wi-fi. I searched numerous videos and links and yours is by far the most helpful explanation!

Not sure if anyone had mentioned this but if you click the “presets” drop down you can save the settings as a preset so you can select that preset anytime you print for sublimation ☺️

You are a lifesaver! Thank you so much. I have the Epson 2400 using Hiipoo ink and there was no ICC profile and my colors kept printing wonky. I used the Adobe setting and it worked perfectly! So appreciate you sharing this video.
Thank you for the Mac help. I tried the Cosmos profile, then went to the Adobe RGB, and I liked the colors better. I had a sample of what I had printed out on my Sawgrass, and colors were identical using Adobe RGB.

I have been at such a loss since I watched this. Thank you for helping me get the correct drivers and ability to get off 2.0. I have searched and searched. Definitely grateful. I bought an epson ET-2850 a week ago--Feb 2024. I use macOS Sonoma 14.3.1, and the current install gave me driver 3.0. Two years after your post and Epson still hasn't corrected this issue--Way to go Epson! Thanks for your help. I finally got the driver updated to 12.62.

You are the life saver of my printer haha. I wanted to throw it away. It was giving me a headache. I couldn’t believe I had hundreds getting ready to go to the trash. I was stuck on 3.0!!! When I first bought it it was giving me options to select and all of a sudden it stopped all I had were like 3 options I worked with what I had but it wasn’t giving me the quality I was looking for

I cannot print from my Silhouette anymore. I was get little glitchy divides in my images. Like part of the image shifted just a hair. Not acceptable so I went to my Epson icon and just print from there. Not as quick but better quality. But I cannot adjust the colors from there and can’t figure out how to see if my settings are ok as far as the color matching etc. You did a FABULOUS job on your video. I appreciate how you go slow enough for us to see what we need to do and comprehend it. Thank you.

Who ever Kim Quintero is thank you so much for your instructions on the Name and Use selection before you hit add - hit the drop down menu next to “Use”. and choose Select Software- then scroll down and choose your printer, then hit add. it finally works now I have the premium presentation matte !

I FIXED IT !!! CALL EPSON SUPPORT AND THEY HELPED IN 2 MINUTES! Remove the printer and add it again from printer settings. Select options & supplies … make sure you select everything to match Epson version and click ok and it went from 3.0 to 11.0!!

Great video! I'm looking to get a sublimation print (Epson ET-2750 in particular) but the most prominent seller in the UK (inkexperts) claim that color profiles don't work on newer Mac versions. I'm currently on 11.6 (Big Sur), and I was wondering what version you are on and if you have had any issues?

Thank you, this was extremely helpful and for me easy to follow I did further research settings for a MAC (it was a pain lol,) NOW my colors look so vibrant as of yesterday .FINALLY since October). I upgraded my computer and as you said had the drive 3 something instead of 10. Thanks bunches and I subscribed and will check out your other videos in the future.
Hi..mine were a 3 and now a 10.85..but I still don't get setting under option to slow the printing..I get thick paper and envelopes...skip blank page...quiet mode, bidirectional printing,output document for filling , remove white borders, warning notification, establish bidirectional communication and reduce print data size..
My Mac is updated but still says 3.0. I’m lost help please.

@@sparklex2389 so, I kept uninstalling, reinstalling, etc. However, I kept on checking on the printer settings after every installation. Instead of doing that, open the driver install, or go to print something, click print and it will open up the printer settings. After that it should pop up. It was about a month ago, so I don’t exactly remember, but it was along the lines of that.
Try that, or try to uninstall, and try to delete the printer from your settings. Then go to print something and bring up the last used printer.
If not, try downloading only the driver on the website, instead of the whole bundle download. Let me know if you have any questions, I’ll help until you figure it out.:)
There is a spot to save the presets for Mac. After you hit print is silhouette, hit print again, then there is a drop down menu showing "save current settings as a preset", then you just name it and then it will ask you if you want it for all printers or just the current printer, choose an option and it will save as a preset.

Hi Kayla. I find your video the most useful from all the other videos Ive watched. Thank you! I am unable to "charge my ink" It doesn't give me the "?" option after I restart the printer. Is this really important? I already had sublimation ink in it. I just deleted the drives and reset the printer.

Hey love! Quick question when printing from Silhouette with a Mac do I need to go into Print preview under file everytime and do my size, orientation?
Or can I go to the right under page settings and type in 13.x19, 8.5x11 or whatever I’m printing

Thank you for the video. Going to work on that now. My next question is I have cricut. What software should I use. I downloaded Inkscape but that is very difficult. Do I need to own a silhouette to use the software and can I set up printing for 13x19?
You can use free version of Silhouette Studio to print. You do not need a machine.

Hey guys. I figured it out. I re downloaded it like 12 times and it did not work. What you need to do is Press the minus button on the printer settings and get rid of the printer. Then when you re-add the printer make sure that under use. It's not on Air print instead ET whatever you have. Then your driver should be updated it literally was just one the drop down menu guys.

6:21 In options I don't have all of those different things. All I've got is 'Thick paper and Envelopes' and 'Warning Notifications'. I don't understand why the options are missing on Apple MacBook but are available on PC.
Hi I have tried getting mac 10.14 and downloaded the right drivers and when i check it it still says 2.0 and isn't giving me all the options? ive deleted the printers redid it like 3 x. thank you
with the premium presentation paper matte setting on your computer, what paper type do you select on your actual printer? my actual printer only has a "premium matte" and a "presentation matte". any help is greatly appreciated! I keep getting an error saying paper type doesn't match.

I did see high speed printing as an option to mark as OFF. So did I download the correct version for my epson to my imac from the epson website to register my printer?

Search for "Epson pizza roller" on how to clean the rollers. It's putting down too much ink.

Also, go to the printer settings: System Preferences > Printers > Select the printer > Options & Supplies and select the "Use Generic Printer Features" option. This will give you MUCH greater control of settings in the print dialog box.
