HOW TO CONVERT AN EPSON ECOTANK PRINTER TO SUBLIMATION

- I am just getting started with sublimation and in this video I'm showing how to convert an Epson EchoTank 2760 to sublimation. This video will apply to several of the different model numbers of the EchoTank.
Sublimation is a chemical process that embeds dyes into polymer surfaces. With sublimation you will print with sublimation ink and paper. The ink dyes polyester fibers.

I’m so glad you mentioned regarding a Wi-Fi printer. I’ve been watching a lot of videos regarding sublimation printer and looking at the videos they all had Epson 2720. The 2760 is better with ,Wi-Fi and tray. Thank you again for this video as well as the cosmo ink.

I'm so glad!! It took me awhile to get started with sublimation because it seemed like it would be a long process to get started and I was surprised how it wasn't too bad!
Finally, I’ve learned how to add the ink profile to my Mac, I had my printer about a month now and I didn’t know how to add the color profile.. I was using something else. Thank You🌟✨💚

I had the Sawgrass set up but got tired of buying $400 worth of ink every 12 months. The ink had to be replaced, whether you used it or not, because it “expired”. This is so much cheaper. I will definitely use your video to get set up if I decide to get back into sublimation. Thanks!😀

@@kaddencem2383 yes, I was able to set up my ET-2800 with this video along with the Cosmos Ink video. I love my sublimation printer!! However, I have not printed anything from my phone, so I really can't answer your question, I suppose you could print from your phone...

I emptied the Epson ink bottles, rinsed them well, let them dry & put hippo ink in each bottle
I did the same thing - life saver to keep from having to use syringes......

Hi, May I know Epson EcoTank L3210 can be used to print sublimation if i use hippo or other brand dry sublimation? I am fan of cricut!
Now that you have a few months of experience using this setup.. How is your Epson printer on ink..? I used to have an older model of Epson, which wasted way too much ink during the cleaning and calibration steps.
To setup the printer setting with Mac. Do the usual steps in silhouette studio but click on “Save Current Settings as Preset” and that will save the current settings you are using as the default.

Once you used the ET-2760 as a sublimation printer, can you use it to print regular paper printing again? Or, is it no turning back?
You will have to flush out the old ink.

I just got my 2803 Epson printer today, can I do these steps to turn it into a Sumblimation printer? Like can I use the ink it came with to do it instead of buying the other kind of Ink? I'm new to this so I really don't wanna mess up the printer
If you just purchased your printer and want it for sublimation then don't put in the ink that came with printer. You have to purchase special sublimation ink and put that ink into your new printer. There's a ton of brands for sublimation ink.... there's hippo, printers jack, cosmos ink ect.

I can get to the same places you are in the 13 minute mark but when I go to drag it to the folder all the items in my folder are grey and it won't take it.

What if the difference between the printer you are using vs the 2720? Looking into getting a 2720 but I just don’t know all the differences :(
I believe they are very similar. From what I read the differences is in the paper handling/trays & fax. I think the print quality is the same.
Hey, yeah just look at the paper tray and sizes…. I finally decided on the one above the 2720… But, 😵💫🤪Still Confused… just gotta jump into it mistakes and all.. Good Luck! ❤️🙏🏽✌🏼
The 2720, 2760 and a few more all have a few differences, that’s where the price differs come in. They print letter and legal size paper.. The 15000 is the printer that prints large sizes 13”x19” and it cost more..

Hi! I’ve never tried it with stickers or regular ink but I have you tried doing a print head cleaning? That might work to have it print out better.

Hi! You can use this printer for regular printer but I chose to turn it into a sublimation printer for making shirts, tumblers, ect.

Yes, I think it can be converted to sublimation. I would try searing it on youtube to see if anyone has done it.

Sorry for just getting back to you. I'm so glad I made it look easy. I was definitely intimidated at first! For the sake of the video I decided not to register the printer but I'll go back and register for it. I just didn't want the video to be too long. I bought the Cosmo Ink directly from their website, they aren't selling it on Amazon. I have a link in my bio if you are looking for it. Yes, I will do an updated video for the settings. I am about to post a video on how to make a shirt with sublimation and show how I mirror on there but plan to make a dedicated video on the printer settings. Thank you!!

Did a little bit of research because all I need is for sublimation. If you can do all the videos on how to print and cut, how to do uploading of images for sublimation. How to do mugs with sublimation would be great I don’t know if you have one of those already but anything that you create with sublimation if you can make all the videos and linked them because then it’s easy to follow🙃

@@KaylasCricutCreations I watched a video after this and I think I may have figured it out. You have to go to the print screen as if you’re going to print and set the print settings then at the top where you canselect to use last print settings it has an option to save the current settings as default.

@@KaylasCricutCreations I saw a post today that says that if your settings are not configured correctly your colors will not be sharp and crisp crisp
@@gentryluz Yes! It definitely makes a difference with how the colors print off. Hopefully I can get a video up soon with settings. I'm just getting it all figured out!
Can i convert an Epson ET2803?
Yes. Anything with an eco tank is convertible.
You keep saying echo tank but it’s an ECO tank.
I am stumped by the repeated (and misleading) usage of the word "convert", since there is no "conversion" involved whatsoever. You just get a brand new Epson Ecotank printer and fill up it with the sublimation ink of your choice.
I do understand what you mean since it’s new and doesn’t have inkjet ink inside it already but the printer is not meant for sublimation which is why I say convert to sublimation.
It is a conversion when the printer comes with ink that was meant to do regular printing. Not sublimation.
