in comic book manufacture, you had test covers to see if it was done right the ones you want to find are the wrong ones or the ones they changed the details a bit.
if these are test covers you might want to compare them to the finished product.
I did cover freelance work for the finish/European Disney comics (Egmond) at the end of the 1990s to 2009 and I had some come back as rejected I still have the art and the test covers if you ever see a cover with Magica de spell on her broom getting a ticket from a cop at a traffic sign that's one of mine and I have seen that one a lot it is silly and funny so they re-use it a lot.
I also did a portrait of carl barks surrounded by his ducks in 1998 for a danish special that image pretty much went viral when barks died at age 99 in 2000.
and, oh, yeah! tell Stephen I said hi!
for anyone reading visit, Stephen draws on youtube!

That was a great find you got, but as a comic collector I found myself flinching a bit how you we're pulling them out and putting them away. Considering the age and how they we're bagged and boarded I would recommend on future videos with comics like this to have someone else hold the camera so you can use both hands to properly pull and put them away. If any are worth big bucks you should highly consider sending them off to CGC to be graded and list them up on ebay. Otherwise have fun looking through those gems! ^_^

Samsara Sigma Yes, he should ‘Handle with care’ because every crease, crimp, bent corner or other defect devalues the comic, sometimes considerably. That ‘near mint’ can become a lesser grade if you aren’t careful, losing $10’s or $100’s off the value.

Hi Alex. The collector you bought this from has saved you a bunch of time and money by bagging each comic including the board. You would know just how much from having to do the last lot of comics you bought. I wouldn’t be surprised if he also catalogued or inventoried the collection judging by how methodical he was - everything is labeled - which makes your job easier. I have loved reading all my life and often received books for birthdays and Christmas. I had a collection of hard copy books like the price guides (that’s how they were printed back in the day) of shows like The Beverley Hillbillies, Annette Funicello, Nancy Drew, etc, but lost them all in a house fire 5 years ago 🙁. Stay safe and well 💕🇦🇺.

The Tarzan vs Dinosaurs comics are very likely based on/inspired by the 1930 Edgar Rice Burroughs novel "Tarzan at the Earths Core" where Burroughs crossed over his popular Tarzan series with his Pellucidar series. Pellucidar was the inside of a hollow earth populated with creatures from throughout Earth's history, including lots of dinosaurs.

You need to look some of these comic books up on Ebay and see what they sold for. I just looked up lone range and depending on the # they are going between 20 and over $100 a piece

Another reported inspiration for Indiana Jones was Roy Chapman Andrews.Andrew's. Born in Beloit Wisconsin and graduating from Beloit College, he moved to New York and worked at the American Museum of Natural History. Starting there in 1906 by cleaning floors and helping with the taxidermy he ultimately moved up to Director in '34. He did extensive expeditions in the Gobi Desert (Mongolia) in the '20s. Coincidentally Roy and "Henry" shared a DEEP fear of snakes...lol.

I saw that sign on the wall behind you at 16:50 sell for $870US this morning (9/13/2020) at an auction. I don't remember if it was on this video or another, but if you have a comic with the Daredevil battling Hitler, I saw a price of 50K on that one alone. You'd be strongly advised to have someone wrangle that hoard for you. You may pay for your new addition and then some...
