I hit my FPS limiter (144 fps) last night. First time that's ever happened in SC... People aren't talking about it as much, but I'm really glad to be seeing GOOD performance gains.
@DerDrecksack87 native. I was in space, but that's still waaaay better than I've ever seen it run. 5800x3D / RX6800 (non XT). High settings except for terrain object distance or something and water sim zones, those are both medium.
@@crispy9175 awesome, did you try enabling/disabling volumetric clouds? My session ran smooth as butter too, even when missions were available and all the ppl accepting them put stress on the server.
Mike is a LITTLE wrong about the statement at the game awards. I had been playing Baldur's Gate 3 for years when it was in alpha. It got to the point I had memorized the first campaign, but I had to play again when they'd release a new character class. It became a meme in the rpg community because everyone thought it was too ambitious and would never be "released" even though the players had been enjoying the alpha for ages. Sound familiar?
For every Alpha that suceeds there are a dozen that dont, especially in nieche genres, Baldurs Gate is one of those that made it, but also one of those that is very nieche and 90% praising it never even played it, ppl just like to go with the common sentiment.
It's not really comparable as starcitizen has been in alpha sense before divinity sin one was released. With many more years before a possible release, which will be way dumbed down from what was promised.
Yo! Snafu is not a glitch. It's an answer to a question like "How goes it?". It's an acronym: Situation Normal - All Fucked Up. How's the 4.0 patch? SNAFU.
I herd the prison work around is remake youer caricter to get out and do a reset to get ride of crime stat I haven’t tride it but it’s what somone was saying
I am amazed that the same bugs keep coming back as if they can never be cured. Fall through the planet. Blowing up ships. Broken missions. Hangers not opening. Doors not opening. Navigation is bugged. The game is not really playable.
2024 anothe bad desaponting year and gutted patches from CIg to end up with a non fuctionnal 4.0 Preview cuz we miss 80percent of the syuff... but hey..2025 will be the year right?
Yeah the first caller definitely has skill issues! He also seemed to be calling in with a bad faith argument. He genuinely seemed to be being disingenuous.
@@crispy9175 true, but with discord & teamspeak being around & used by most ppl, its not that big of an issue, maybe in piracy but especially now there are more important things, like fixing QT and missions.

Native or with upscaling? Because i hit 144 but it looked off, until i realised that upscaling is on by default.

53:20 - Yeah I really don't love the new loot screen. I always find myself switching back to the old view for most things.

Did the podcast time change?
He literally explains it less than 2 minutes into the podcast..ffs
It was earlier today because Mike had family in town. Cheers
o7, didn't know this channel existed.

Fork VOIP & FOIP you are begging for a RP mechanic when there is 400 broken things that actually matter
Having tools to communicate in game versus using outside apps is a good thing and needs to be properly implemented.
