So... did you notice that your very own website calls this the Salhanas ? with an L ? The description on your site goes on to point out the features of the Osmium pedal... Is this an Osmium with a fresh paint job and a name that was lost in translation from chinese to english ? Serious question. Don't get me wrong, I love your pedals, I own quite a few and they are all great but I wish you would be more clear about your product line. For example you could write " it's based on a DS1 or a TS or a BB" and we would know. No need to be mysterious.
Hi Alexander, I'm Steve and I work for Caline in the UK, you're absolutely right to raise the question and sometimes we do get things wrong. It's my understanding that the Osmium is inspired by the Boss DS-1 and the Sathanas is inspired by the Suhr Riot. Didn't intend to be mysterious, honest :)
@@CalineTechnology Thank you for your kind answer, I appreciate it . However, I am still confused. Osmium is CP-501, a DS1 Clone, and this one, the Sathanas is CP-501 S, a Suhr clone ? basically the same product id for 2 different circuit designs ? Sorry for being a pain 😉.
doesn't sound very satanic I was expecting a diabolical gain heavy crunch out of it but it's more like a light overdrive even with the gain setting dialed at full, the demo is good and amazing thou. nice and cool
The way we figure it, most people will go for a metal approach to the demo on this. We just wanted to do something that showed off its range across chugging, open chords and lead, I wish we could afford Pete Thorn, but hey, it's got to be worth a shot, yeah?
