Charlamagne misunderstood those Bible verses to mean literal wealth, when God was talking about wealth in the Lord when going to church. A direct verse about rich men, "And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God". A pastor should not be poor by any means, but they shouldn't be the top wage earner in their congregation, that's for sure. And they damn sure shouldn't be in the top 1% of wage earners in general. Any "wealthy" pastor is automatically a crook to me.

So what happened with Wax? I watch this show all the time but miss episodes every once in a while and when I came back to watching wax was gone. I have to say just watching over the years that wax used to be pretty fucking funny and willing to joke around and he was amazing but it seemed that recently he was less willing to joke around and seemed a bit more combative.

I 100% agree with Anderew on the Will Smith situation. When in doubt I always want to give a black man the benefit of the doubt but that apology was probably what they teach publicists on their first day. An interview with "real" black interviewers like Charlamagne to troll a litte but bring out the genuine side of Will, or maybe even Kevin Hart whose great at allowing somebody to laugh at themselves a lil and lighten the mood would put Will back to his GOAT status instead of this clout chasing Kanye like emotional version we have now

Charlemagne has been healing himself for years now. He's more empathetic and self reflective. His opinions that he gave on Will Smith are probably his real opinions.
It's crazy how people think "rudeness" is tied to "realness" but when it's "empathy" they deem it as "fake."
@@ebz_j Being empathetic and self reflective is one thing but he has a tendency to try and excuse clear wrong doing by trying to use weakness as an excuse. If you hurt someone else you cant turn around and say that you needing to heal absolves you of wrong doing. Andrew is completyely right. If you hurt someone else or do wrong you should feel ashamed and remorseful. Also empathy isnt always fake but in this case I agree with Andrew. Will's apology was for his career, not for Chris
@@eggbomb44 I mean that is how you see things. Podcasts are all about perspectives holding conversations about different opinions. I believe once you become self aware and self reflective it becomes naturally to begin to ask yourself why am I doing the things that I am doing? Why did I behave in this manner? Where is this hurt coming from? You begin to seek answers from within yourself rather than staying surface level....... and just saying I hit this person because he did this. There's always deeper rooted issues on what drives behaviors. Nothing is ever surface level. So if will smith got on in the internet and said he's been searching within to figure out who he is than maybe that's exactly what he was doing. Everyone don't have a secret agenda to "save face" sometimes people are really just that open, self aware, and willing to work on themselves so that situation won't happen again.

The problem I had with Charla was when he was reading the definitions of spazz, he purposely left out the definition where it references the disability. When you look up the word, it is the first definition on the platforms he referenced expect urban dictionary. This was explained when Lizzo took it out of her music. So, to leave it out, to defend your favorite artist, is weird to me.
Charla should do interviews like Barbara Walters. Spend hours talking and edit it back. Like that iconoclast show a few years ago. Doesn't have to be comedy all the time. He picks people's brains so well.
