By the time I discovered MJ I was 6 years and living in Africa. I didn't even understand the lyrics or the style of music I was listening to. The mere fact that it grasped my attention all on its own is a huge indication that music is a universal language. The moment I had a decent understanding of the English language many years later and could sing along the right way. I understood that MJ stood for something greater than all of us.
