I would love to see his full answer to the boy about the Eucharist. He did not miss a beat in explaining immediately the Mystery in a simple and understandable way.

Therefore, we do not see the very deepest things, those that really sustain life and the world, but we can see and feel their effects. This is also true for electricity; we do not see the electric current but we see the light.
So it is with the Risen Lord: we do not see him with our eyes but we see that wherever Jesus is, people change, they improve. A greater capacity for peace, for reconciliation, etc., is created. Therefore, we do not see the Lord himself but we see the effects of the Lord: so we can understand that Jesus is present. And as I said, it is precisely the invisible things that are the most profound, the most important. So let us go to meet this invisible but powerful Lord who helps us to live well.

Beautiful memories of our beloved pope Benedict. We already missed him when he resigned .
He was the most compassion, nice, kind-warm-hearted, down to earth of all Pope. I was younger when he became the Pope, i hope his departure was a light and peaceful one because he deserved it and he deserved to be an angel above.
I saw Pope Benedict XVI in St. Peter’s Piazza 9n Sept. 14, 2005, and as I saw the vehicle with the Pope coming nearer to me, I thought what will it be like when he is actually in front of me. I was enveloped by a feeling of sweetness and goodness, and that feeling has stayed with me.

I don't subscribe to labels with my Catholic faith; we are just faithful Catholics and not so faithful Catholics. Pope Benedict was the former. Brilliant theologian too.

What a sweet insight into Benedict, esp the way he loved on that kid at the end, reminds me of a grandpa. I'll admit I was never a fan of Benedict or his policies but it cannot be denied that he was a sweet, brilliant man that left a lasting legacy.
