  • Episode 3 of our Housing Series on the Streets of Dublin Simon podcast features an interview with Sharon. Sharon has experienced housing insecurity at various stages throughout her life. She left home as a teenager due to feeling unsafe there. Some years later, as a single parent, she faced notices to quit her rented accommodation and had no choice but to enter into emergency accommodation for several months. This involved travelling to various hotels and B & B’s across Dublin with a young baby, buggy, and suitcases on a frequent basis. Sharon’s life has changed utterly thanks to the Dublin Simon Independent Housing team. Listen to this moving podcast to hear her story.

Your probably one of the oldest charities for people in addiction and homelessness in Dublin. I remember when it started and where they had a building on Ellis Quay for the unfortunate people of the city. Them day's there was absolutely nothing in the country say for coolmine for herion addiction. Simon is top of the pop's. Total respect for it's service. A Dub ✌🏻☘️

Ireland needs to ask for a rebate from the European Union because they've sent a lot of people to claim asylum in ireland and there's clearly no way near enough accommodation for everybody I believe 70 Irish people died on the streets of Ireland last year the European Union needs to be made aware of this clearly ireland first ireland first
