Thank you. I went through several other videos, forum posts, and the like. I tried 4 or 5 other parts before this one. So thank you. (Luckily i was able to borrow the parts from another washer on site, and didnt order the other parts i tried.)
Mine was making a grinding noise. Ended up changing the Capacitor, the pulley clutch kit & the shift actuator. The last thing was the motor because I fot it diagnosed and was told it was a part inside the motor. Now it wants to spin bit very light. Barely any agitation. It honestly stops. Any idea what it could me? It is the same machine you have.
Thank you for the vido and the info we are not looking forward to buying a new Washer. First we replaced the washer pulley clutch, now the capacitor and the washer still doesn't want to wash. It fills up even on auto sensing and you can hear a clicking sound. Please help.
Long shot, I have a whirlpool washer-dw1…When it starts and tries to agitate - the drums moves about half each way as and clicks, but will fill with non problem and spin drain with zero issues. And tip or common issue?
I greatly appreciate your attention to detail in your videos!! I have washer and tried a few options but still cannot figure out what my washer's problem is. Mine fills and sounds like it is agitating but watching it, it barely moves. Clothes do not move or change position but it does drain and spin out. Clothes don't come out clean, just wet. What should I check next?
Take everything off. Take the whole agitator off and look at the agitator spinner and if it’s gunked up clean it and get rid of all the debri, then force turn it with pliers while trying not to mess up the teeth. Let me know if that helps!
@juanlabra9530 Thank you for taking time to reply. I have not successfully gotten the bolt to lossen on the agitator but I kept watching additional videos like suspension replacement of shocks and the hub replacement with metal components instead of new plastic parts-thanks to Ben. I have given up trying to repair because I could replace 3 different parts and then still have a problem. Appliance man said it wasn't feasible to repair but I also do not have time to do trial and error with it another week. Thanks again for your many helpful videos!!
Thank you for the video work. Now i just need to find the right cap. Mine is black and i cant figure out yet how to get it out. And the plug looks a little different. But exactly same issues.
Did you notice you left the capacitor tight up against the pully? Take a look. That might also be why the machine was also running louder during spin. Oh, 5% of 45 uF is 2.25, if you had a few 50's on board you might have wanted to test each to find the lowest (it could have been as high as 52.25 uF. I get it, you need to get to the next job but QC is important too. ). Nice job retrofitting the capacitor bracket.
So my WTW4816FW2 won’t start up the “locked” light just flashes once. Is this a different issue? I’ve seen many videos where the “sensing” and “locked” lights will flash together and not start but not with this one…
I had the same problem I changed the same part and it washed for a day and later that same day it started doing the same thing. Any idea why? I’ve tried everything
@brianpulley8652 same with mine. Replaced the splutch, then shift Actuator and now will try the capacitor. Everyone is quoting me over $250 for diagnosis plus part cost.
If you got a tester, you should get 45 Uf if you don’t get any readings, new capacitor if you don’t have any tester, then you should get both and replace one at a time
I have the same washer but it continuously runs…. Please help!! The full Cycle works but if I don’t take out clothes right away it starts all over again… and again and again non stop.
We have a Whirlpool model WTW4616FW2 AGITATOR IS ENGAGING BUT BARELY MOVING AND DOESN'T ALWAYS GO FROM WASH TO SPIN AND GETS STUCK THERE. DO YOU HAVE ANY INFO WE CAN TRY PLEASE?
Thank you so much. This solved my washer machine problem. Only spent $40 and invested a little time into watching this video and it worked 🙏🏾👍🏾
You're welcome! I am Glad My Video Helped You Fix Your Washer, Thanks For Watching!

How did he get it in manual test mode? I started on delicate went 3 right one left and one right just like it shows but nothing happened
Me too
It did nothing
rotate the cycle knob 4 times then set it on normal. Then go one click left three clicks right one click left and one click right.
Thanks very helpful@@koreybell2299
Great if you explain first pat. Shit from start
@@koreybell2299 that didn’t work
First time seeing a cap on a washer sweet I've seen and learned something new today !!!

check to see if the motor coupling that connects the transmission and motor is damaged

Thank you. I have the same machine. How do I remove the removable agitator bolt? Let or right hand turn?
To remove the agitator, you have to turn counterclockwise
When I checked the pulley system, there was resistance and it kept going back to where it was before. Any advice for that?

excellent video .. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Yo, during my test the agitator spins for a second thin stops and the tub doesn't spin! Help!!
I had the same problem I changed the same part and it washed for a day and later that same day it started doing the same thing. Any idea why? I’ve tried everything
Great video
How does the agitator suppose to spin when it’s washinhg the clothes
So i replaced my shift actuator but my washer still want spin fast after rinse and draining.... could it be the capacitor?

Do you need to uncharge the capasitor first or can you test it right away with the leads??
No, You can test it Right Away With the Leads.
@@DIYRepairsNow im guessing washer capasitors are difrent then the hvac capasitors then
@@DIYRepairsNow thanks for answering
You’re Welcome. Thanks for tuning into My Channel!
Is there a difference between the 50uf and the 45 , does one last longer then the other.
That’s exactly what i’m wondering. Why did he put a 50uf if it comes with a 45?
I have the same washer and the drum is really banging all over. What could it be ?
The shocks
Just follow this video and you’ll be able to replace shocks th-cam.com/video/HvTqvm_WNHQ/w-d-xo.html
How do i know if its the capacitor or the shift actuator???or should i get both??
If you got a tester, you should get 45 Uf if you don’t get any readings, new capacitor if you don’t have any tester, then you should get both and replace one at a time
@@DIYRepairsNow yeah...i just went a head and got both to be in the safe side..thanks
Check for the micro on the cap if it oms out . Just change it
@@grrizly660did it start spinning?
@@ItzSteph17 no, but i went ahead and got both..just to be on the safe side
If my cap reads 48 microfarads, is that too much?
Thank you bro! I've seen a lot of videos, but yours helped. God bless !

how to use whirlpool 7 cycles and 2 speed combination
We have a Whirlpool model WTW4616FW2 AGITATOR IS ENGAGING BUT BARELY MOVING AND DOESN'T ALWAYS GO FROM WASH TO SPIN AND GETS STUCK THERE. DO YOU HAVE ANY INFO WE CAN TRY PLEASE?
You got to check the capacitor and actuator
Mine spins it just isn’t agitating
I tried the agitation and spin test but the lights just blink and resets
Thanks👊🔥
No problem 👍
my machine doesn't even go into test mode, the door lock just keeps clicking on and off
I need parts
Part Links are Located in the Description of this Video.
I tested the capacitor for resistance and it just reads OL, could it be bad?
the resistance of a capacitor is infinite ... you need to test for capacitance instead
Little bit to fast😊
Very poor exclamation
Thanks for your comment and thanks for supporting my channel💯💯👍🏻👍🏻
Worse washer we've ever owned constantly noisy whirlpool crap😮😢
Pleaseeee helpppp
