A few of you mentioned that the filling overflowed, and I did some testing. I'd recommend replacing the lemon juice in this recipe with lemon zest. It will make the cream cheese mixture more stable and less likely to overflow while baking. In addition, it will taste even better because lemon zest has a more intense flavor than juice. Another way is to add a bit of cornstarch to the mixture.

Absolutely beautiful
Thank you they look am amazing!
Wow! Why didn't I think of this..DONT UNROLL. Greatest idea. There had to be a title that will get you more views. This is easiest most attractive recipe.
@@teresaf991 so true and very creative too
Delicious
Oh yum. 😊
They look delicious.
Amazing recipe! Just watched it, had most of the ingredients, made due with the rest. Turned out great! Thank you, I am a new subscriber!
Whoa!!!! Awesome.
Interesting! I often eat cream cheese/lemon and sugar as a snack. After using half the cream cheese, I add lemon and sugar to the other half and leave it in its tub to snack on. Never thought to add it to a dough, thanks
What do you eat it with? Crackers? A spoon?
You dont need to put egg in the cream cheese
Well shoot, there goes any thought of a diet that I had been thinking about. Looks like I am gonna make these this weekend. I plan on using blackberry or strawberry jam instead.
@@budmoore7971 i know right lol 😂
You could use cherry pie filling as well. Yum!
I used to eat those all the time as a kid. Watching this video brought back memories I had forgotten. It makes me feel like I should be watching 'Bewitched' in black-and-white. ✌️
@@DanielOrtegoUSA i have been lol 😂
Could add an egg custard, spinach filling , so many choices
That's not how you open that tube. You bang it on the side of the table 😂
They look delicious and easy to make. Thanks for the video and recipe.
Wow, this video is awesome!!!!! I plan to make it and will use Lemon Curd instead of the marmalade. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!!!
Wow….love danish and sooo easy to make!! I would put strawberry jam in them! 🩷🩷
I've made easy chocolate croissants by using the canned crescent rolls. On each triangle, place 1 chocolate bar square-there's usually 8 squares to a bar, roll up the triangle, pinch the ends to keep choc from oozing out during baking. Bake per pkg instructions. When done, let cool a few minutes, dust with powder sugar and enjoy!!
Sounds yummy! How do you roll up the square of chocolate? Help, please!
Yum 😋
I used blackberry and apricot preserves for two batches. Very happy with the results
SO making these! ❤
Love this!! I'll never buy store bought again after making this I'm sure! Thanks!
UPDATE: This was delicious!!!
Great stuff. Thanks for the drizzle too.
YUMMMMMM! JUST HAPPENED UPON YOUR CHANNEL! I HOPE YOU WILL POST MORE DELICIOUS & EASY RECIPES! THANK YOU! 😊
If it overflowed, get a spoon and eat that deliciousness. Best semi- homemade breakfast pastry I have seen. For those who want perfection and have time to make everything homemade, by all means no one is stopping you. Love this recipe, and will make it 1000+ more time.❤😂
Wow, made this and added Nutella! This is so simple and delicous! No more buying pastries!
Adding Nutella is a great idea. Thank you for sharing your feedback!
This looks delicious😊. I would eat this, no problem, because I love cream cheese. Excellent idea.❤
Thank you so much. I love these one for teatime now and again🙏
Thank you so much I've been looking for a non-intimidating danish recipe this looks perfect❣️
That looks so delicious!! I can't wait giving these a try soon.
I love the way you made the circles rather than cutting and twisting the dough so much easier!!!
I will try this!❤
Great idea!!👍
Those look delicious. I’m gonna try it.
Cook another few min if u ask me
OMG this looks so much better than the Starbucks copycat danish video I just watched, which I thought was amazing. Waaaaaay better! Thank you! 😊❤️
Glad you think so, thank you!

I just made these and they did overflow. I didnt make them as big as i should have hsve. I need to really flatten the center more more. Will do that next time...they look bad but taste good!!
They look absolutely delicious!!! Gonna try them 👍
Why didn’t I ever think of that ?
Spray the bowl with cooking spray....no stick
I'm going to try this! Those look wonderful!
Genius recipe, thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to try it!
You can use a little flour on the bottom of the bowl so it won’t stick so much :)
Simple, easy and looks delish 😋
This is a great idea. My mom loves crescents. I stuff them with all kinds of things for her. Next time I will try your great idea I know she will love it. Thanks!💜
My FAVORITE has apricot in it.
That's what I was thinking - that apricot jam or preserves would be so good! ❤
@@kareninalabama ❤️
@@kareninalabama Karen, maybe Atlanta gals and Alabama gals just have a natural leaning towards Apricots in their pastries !
perfect 🙏
Looks delicious
Thank you 😊 I gonna do this with guava.😋
Thank you
Very nice!
Made this twice! Very good. The butter flavor is a little bit strong so I'll try with puff pasty next
Thanks for trying this recipe! With puff pastry, they will turn out even more delicious!
Thank you for the recipe.
It looks delicious.
Can I use regular cream cheese instead of whipped cream cheese for this recipe?
Danish filling is usually made with regular cream cheese, so you can use it. Just keep in mind that it will take a bit longer to make and the filling will be denser than if you used whipped cream cheese.
Why not use crescent ROUNDS
Looks delicious 😋
For the glaze, could you just use lemon juice instead of the milk for the glaze topping? Looks wonderful ❤
Yes, you can make a sugar glaze with lemon juice. Yum!
I REALLY love this channel!
Apricot jam in the middle! Yum.
❤ THANK YOU!!
Yummy
Perfect!
Oh my goodness! Cheese danishes are my favorite and for some reason they are so hard to find without going to a specialty bakery. I can’t wait to make these myself!! Thank you for posting this, I know it will be delicious ❤
Great job 👏
it looks amazing! It gives me other ideas. Thanks!
Great to hear!
I've been baking for years, and of course have used Pillsbury and similar products. Weird thing to follow..popping the paper roll these come in, always freaks me out, for real. I mean, they have always, I've nevre had one explode in my face or have had a traumatic experience with any refrigerated dough. Peeling the first layer off to me, is waiting for an explosion of dough, even though I know it wont. then opening the cardboard , I make sure my affairs are in order and that all the pets and family have cleared the house. If there is a support group, I'll go. In the meantime I'll continue on with life, just waiting for that fatal nuclear dough explosion. Thanks for "listening"
Mine ended up looking like volcanoes, oops! They were still delicious though! I will buy another crescent roll package tomorrow to make another batch :)
Haha I hope the second batch turns out perfectly! Thanks for trying this recipe!
I tried them and I am a baker. They turned out like a little child got in my kitchen. I had to add more jam at the end since it all ran out onto the parchment paper, and yes, I zested lemon instead of juice. I hope they taste good since these are a gift to my father ❤🎉 ( too embarrassed to send a photo)😢
In Australia we don't have those pre-rolled things you use...we have to start from scratch.
the orange marmalade is not something I would use but everything else looks great. the crescent roll ideal is genius!!
😊🎉❤
I'm totally making this, this weekend.
Wow 😮! Great idea and video! This will be my next breakfast treat.😊
Wow!!!! ❤❤❤
love this recipe amazing taste.
looks great, gonna try it this weekend.
Thank you. An easy delicious breakfast.
Would it be ok in regular oven instead and at the same setting? Also could U use apple pie filling 🤔
Absolutely! Keep an eye on them as they bake and adjust the baking time by a few minutes depending on how golden brown they get. Pre-cooked apple pie filling would work, but raw filling might make the dough soggy.
This one looks easy and fast. Thank you.
These were delicious! Thank you for sharing the recipe 😋👌
Amazingly easy------beautiful results-------🥰
Thank you ! Absolutely fantastic. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Awesome as are all your recipes thanks for your hard work!
Thank you for this!!!!
Yum
Excellent 😊❤
This makes me so happy
Thanks ☑️ Mmm
Can you just use the cream cheese plain? I do not need/want the extra sugar, the jam will have plenty.
The lemon and cream cheese add a tartness to the danishes, so sugar is needed to balance it out and improve the overall taste. But depending on your preference, jam might be enough to do that!
Yum!! Going to make these!!😁😄👍
Looks Delicious. May taste good too
Delicious 😋
This is how the store bakery probably makes them and sells them for 6 bucks a pack of 4 😂
Actually, the pastries probably pre-made frozen
Wow, that looks great
Those look delicious!
I don’t have lemon. What else can I sub with ?
omit the lemon. it won’t taste as good but it will be just fine!
I personally don’t like lemon in mine, but I understand that some people prefer the slight zesty flavor.
Where can I get this dough in South Afrika
I used apricot preserves.
Do you think this would work with just Strawberry Jam in it? I'm not the biggest fan of cream cheese or lemon, and EVERYONE always pairs Strawberry with cream cheese in every dang Danish I've seen!
If you want to omit the cream cheese, I suggest spreading a thin layer of butter on the dough before adding the jam. This could prevent sogginess and enhance the overall flavor.
@@BreakfastForOne Will do! Thank you for replying!!!!
Mine, over flowed!! Well the jello melted off!! But still delicious!!
