- Hi Guys :) Being able to quit my 9-5 job to create my dream life is something that I had wanted to do for a long time. Minimalism definitely helped me get there.

Awesome video! What's the point of having a lot of things, a nice apartment, or the newest baddest car when you're spending most of your waking hours at a job you don't like. You don't get to enjoy your nice big apartment if you're not there. All that nice stuff is just sitting there while you're sitting at work for 8+ hours a day. And what use is that nice new shiny car if all it's good for is driving you to a job you don't like?

Convictedx MAGE because she's not! When you look at her, you can already tell she spends at least $500.00 a month on make up! She made this video to get hits and ad revenue. Nothing she's talking about in this video, is something she understands.
I love watching peoples reactions as I completely down size and rid myself of things I've had for years. They just don't get it. By the same token, my reaction to watching others accumulate things must be very similar. Many people try to find ways to obtain things, while I'm constantly looking for ways to shed them. I enjoyed todays video, spot on as usual. :)

I had to quit my corporate job because it was just draining me, both physically and mentally. I didn't know what my dream goals were but I knew it wasn't working a 9-5 energy-sucking job. Only with loads of free time on my hands could I figure out what I wanted to do with my life. It was scary but I'm finally on the right path! Sometimes you need to close one door before another one will open.

I loved this! I'm currently saving up and selling/donating a lot of my things in order to live a more freeing minimalist lifestyle. Congrats on getting to the place you wanted to be!

Great video. in 2009 I left my J.O.B grind and started my own biz from home and started making more money right away, and I pull my own strings. Freedom and being able to do what you want when you want is so important to me, more important than a new car or expensive handbags! Debt free is the way to go.
Wish I could quit my 9 to 5 job but I can't live without a steady and decent income :/

I'm dying in my job, I want to invest my time in a lot of other projects, but I made the mistake (I think) of buying a house, and that's a big expense I cannot cut :/

First buy a house and get some equity than get heloc ,use this for your income .you can get Medicaid and all the benefits

love your videos! xo i started my minimalism journey about three months ago and i couldn't be happier. on top of that, i left the corporate world last year as well. i went from an over the phone customer service job that i HATED to an admin job that i ended up hating as well haha! now, i do still work a part time job as an usher but it's a show that i love and all of my coworkers are lovely, too. :o) i want to work in a restaurant as well as this job, while pursuing my dreams, especially as i'm still in school. i really need that income from a couple part time jobs, but i definitely want to start up my own business (well i have two i want to do) and am working on it right now. xo love your videos! they inspire me to keep hacking at what i want to do, rather than giving in to full time jobs i HATE doing.

Can you do a video on dreams? I got the minimalism and simplifying my life down. I'm ready to do the jump, but my problem is to jump where? All I know is that I want freedom and travel, but I will need to do something that will be able to bring in some kind of income.

Thinking about it I think I'm already a minimalist. I just finish studying now and live in a small cheap room in a flat together with 3 girls and don't have anything big to pay for. I have a car to pay but that's all, not too much a month. Guess I'll maybe move in to my parents for a while or in another really cheap room while saving some money with work. Then I'm "free" to leave when I wanna travel. Guess it's really hard if you already bought a house or flat you have to pay.

I am definitely debating on leaving my job where I am now... Ever since my channel got bigger I have been lacking more passion for my job... I am just miserable and really thinking about when I am going to resign but I am too scared to rely on TH-cam to pay bills. How is it working for you ?

+MaddMike I no longer have a 9-5, I quit my job in February of last year. I quit my job when I started making more money with my side business. If you make more money on youtube than your current job then quit and persue that full time. My annual bill finances were 14k so i didnt quit my job till i had 15k in my savings so that i can live off that for 6-12months. I failed trying to do this twice because i let my emotion of hating my job get to me.
The only good thing about that job was the steady paycheck. Im currrently 20 turning 21 this year. It is possible :) Good Luck :D

What are the difficulties you face everyday after quitting job in terms of finances, not being able to do things for loved ones that money can buy and financial insecurity for future..is working on our dream with job not a better option..thanks
How much do you pay for rent? It's not like your living in a garage. Rent where I live is $850 for a room.

Dorrie Petersen I'm in Canada and it's about 40-70 dollars per person a month for medical insurance in the province that I live. I believe if you make under a certain amount it's free or very cheap.
