I just wish Necro Sienna was able to (passively) raise dead allies as extra skeletons, have them be controlled by the dead player, and would last until the said player gets rescued. If Army of the Dead ends up being actually bad, then maybe adding this as secondary function of the talent could be an ideal buff.

As much as I would like a large army of the undead for a Necromancer vs Pactsworn play, Army of the Dead seems to only be useful or used the most during CW or if you have a Conc Pot on hand, which relatively, you’ll rarely use for emergency situations
while i have 2000 hours on VT2 and i adore it, especially Chaos Wastes...its really hard getting back into VT2 after playing Darktide. It just looks and feels SOOO MUCH BETTER :/ 1st world problems..
If you're obliterating elites quickly enough you can get 3 or even 4 sets of Skellies out, if you're using a Conc potion it's easier. But just having the Career ability recharge trait on your weapon makes it a bit easier to have 3 of them up "fairly" consistently when the shit hits the fan. I think I could probably make it work better, but It's not too bad honestly.
Love the vid, apologize my pedantry but there's a lore correction. Necromancy doesn't use Shyish, that'd be Death magic, Necromancy uses Dhar, Dark magic made of multiple winds of magic. As we know, humans only have the lifespan to learn to safely control a single wind, so Dhar is how Sienna, a pyromancer attuned to Aqshy, is able to cast necromancy in the first place without being able to channel Shyish.
And just to add for other nerds like us, Dhar is not a wind of magic in itself, but a convulsion of the winds of magic as a whole. This means, even though a human would be only sensible to one wind of magic, every mage could learn to use Dhar somewhat easily, specially after Nagash's return.
I would prefer that thr necromancar starts weaker but gets stronger over time. Like ultimate raises one permanent skeleton or two. And you can summon as many as you want with no cap. So end of the match you can have 20 or so plus the ones that died along the way. So maybe 40 total summoned. That would make sense as the more you kill the stronger you are. Nonetheless, i am absolute psyched for this class. Honestly think there is a huge market for a horde based game like vermintide, darktide, left for desd etc where you four player characters are actually summoners themselves. It would add a fresh dynamic to the playstyle. Like 4 necromancers take on the demons of hell or something. I hope fatshark explore this summoner idea more in many other ways. It has great potential and a massively untapped market of people with who love all things necromancer and personal army.

As someone who is 260 hours in this game and exclusively played single player because the community at the time was a bit toxic on my preferred platform the PS4, and had developed multiple builds exclusively that I could play solo and with my good old team of AI, this update adds a lot of replayability I feel like. Not only issue incredibly fun to play yourself, but with the right build the AI is incredibly strong with this character. And that's coming from someone who used to play this game try hard but now is mostly casual.😅

I'm thinking dagger with a reliable way to apply fire would work well for a crit build. Beam and Conc. staff both have really good burn application. Daggers high attk speed and crit coefficient might be pretty strong but its hard to say without sitting down to test how they'd work together. Might not be the perfect choice seeing as it has high cleave values already - it would still get good milage from the power tho, 25% is a lot on crits from any weapon, and the dagger would do it the most reliably. Her new staff might be one of the better for the crit build as well. Seems to be excellent at spreading flames and has great utility.
Maybe you can use the 20s skeletons to spam fire your ranged attack, vent / return a guy to grave, and keep spamming during that 20s period? (Unless the venting only uses your initial skeletons)?

Something like a faster Career Skill cooldown for more skellies or maybe even making the Malediction of Nagash be able to spread. Maybe even a chance up to 20% that unleashes the soul of a dead enemy affliced with Malediction to attack other nearby enemies!
I honestly don't see why put a time limit in Army of the dead. It's not like the skeletons are particularly strong on their own? I've seen gameplay where they just get demolished by a black fur hitting them once. Lads! if we can get a god damn NECROMANCER we can get a TECH ADEPT! pray to the omnissiah and we will prevail!
the mobs not helping you when u get jumped on has to be the stupidest Decision ever. literally makes no Logical sense.
Gamepass reasons, less incentive for people to stick together
Tldr : Best in waves, can clear like it wasnt even there.
but,
Sucks at elite / boss killing. Too slow.
You weren't overusing the slam. You were using it out in the open like an idiot, surrounded by enemies instead of moving to place your back against a wall.
Now hear me out... let dead players play as a random skeleton (if raised) until they are rescued
:D hehe complaining about losing a shield buff when hit. When does he remember all the Bardins which were shoot by sienna
Vermintide would be so much better if u could choose gender.and before you start crying:my sister also hates it when she cant play as a female char
The new staff works basically = brain brust in darktide XD
mordhau & chivalry 2
fine to have that opinion of course, i dont personally agree with it. The swings and strafing combat feel very floaty to me. You start the arc of your swing out of range and then glide/strafe lazily into the killing blow. i dont personally love the melee combat in either game, although of course there are elements they do very well
The necromancer is way too op. Nerfs in coming. The game feels and plays just so easy with her, even on cata
she's not all that
Have you played battle wizard before?
@TehLightraven loool absolutely way more op. Necro feels more balanced in comparison. I still think necro feels easier if you're new to sienna since the summons meatshield
Honestly, she looks like outcast engineer 2.0 Someone who you would rather not have on your team.
They fucked up with this one. So much potential for a new class wasted.
Won’t be in Vermintide 2.
huh?
What? It literally is gonna be in vermintide 2 tomorrow?
send some of that good stuff you seem to be huffing.
It’s literally coming out tomorrow
lol
to much damn melee i want my army to do all the work and i only cast give me a break..
