Super appreciate the video! btw, you can select multiple tracks at once by holding Shift and clicking instead of using Ctrl and clicking them one by one if you didn't already know by now

Hey everyone if you have the issue with it only routing to the master track, try hitting the small exclamation point after each action you do. This refreshes Kontact player!
Thanks for making this video, it was really helpful! I had to set up the routing in Kontact first, then select multi out adv before loading up the GGD kit. I also used the "!" button in kontact after each step.
I would add, to hit the exclamation point in the top corner of Kontakt after selecting multi out adv. I couldn't get the drum out selections to show up until I did that. BTW THANKS and BTW WHY ISN'T THIS TEMPLATE UP AT GGD?

I get Kt. st. 1, then four "aux" tracks, then like 54 unassigned tracks. From there, nothing else is seeming to line up. I am totally new to this stuff, so it may be something simple I am missing, but if you could provide some insight it would be appreciated!

the first thing is definitely make a fake stereo bus so you can also run a reference track without it being affected by master processing also when making new channels, always click the exclamation mark on the upper right window to reboot the Kontakt instance

i'm following Your guides step by step with Invasion but unfortunately it doesn't work. Can You please just share a blank session with the entire routing done for invasion in reaper? Upload it to send space, dropbox or maybe google drive? Cheers from Ireland!
The main issue I'm having is getting the midi mapping to line up between Kontakt and Reaper. If I play a loop in the groove player, and then drop that file into Reaper and play it back, it doesn't sound complete. It's missing hits on drums and cymbals. Any tips on how to get that to line up?
Did this a few years ago and just had to reinstall all my plugins and remake some templates. Kontakt is just being annoying and breaking routing, breaking playback.
Hi Dylan. Thanks for the video! I have a small issue though. I see all of the crashes are routed to the Kick (st.1). Kick is rather loud and crashes are silent so I can barely hear them. I have been looking to reroute this in the vst in "cymbals" secion, but I cannot find anything relating to crashes. Would you be so king and give me a tip to how to fix this? Thanks!
Like the crashes are going through the kick track? I’ve noticed the kick and snare always seem a little louder than everything else, but usually EQ and messing with the overhead channel fixes it. It definitely takes some messing with in the EQ and compression stage.
@@dylanbourne4880 Thanks for the reply. I dig up a little bit, and my issue is that overheads and room far mics come as default - to the 1st track. How did you handled that special mics?
@@maciejzyskowski1807 I've found the solution to your problem, first you have open Kontakt, add the number of outputs that you need, then go to the reaper menu on the window of kontakt, go to options and select "build multichannel outputs". Now you gonna have all the channels of kontakt on your reaper mixer and you will continue with the config of GGD on kontakt, like change the name of the kontakt outputs (st.1 st.2 etc), selecting the physical outs, selection multi out on GGD, and your drums now gonna sound BALANCED. I dont know why this happens but thats the solution.
Absolutely nothing happens when I scan native instruments... I'm literally stuck at the starting point in all the guides I can find. I have Kontakt, I have the invasion drums and midi files, but nothing shows up in reaper.
I've done all the steps until 6 min exactly as shown in the video but hitting the drum parts will not have their sounds show up in different reaper tracks. It's all still in Kt. st. 1. But at 2 min in the video, the unassigned tracks I get from inserting the VST already start at track 7, not as far down as shown in the video. I think the problem must be somewhere inbetween but reaper doesn't even behave as shown when doing the very first steps of this tutorial.

you need to set the 16 output template as your default, delete all tracks, and relaunch Kontakt. That's all!
@@taariqahad Yesss man that saved me quite a lot of time! Thanks :)
@@taariqahad How do you set the 16 output template as default?
@@taariqahad my man! You saved me the headache I felt coming on! Thank you.
@@SamiK1989 Alright I have the solution.
1. Load kontakt like you normally would, ad he shows. Follow all the steps shown in video until you open the output assigning window.
2. Choose quantity of outputs as 16 and number of channels as 2, same as in the video. Enable ascending output assignment and delete existing channels before creating new ones. Till here it's same as in video.
3. BEFORE YOU CLICK OK, also enable the "make this your default configuration" checkbox in the output window. Click ok.
4. Close the whole thing(or you can delete all the tracks including the one with KONTAKT open on it)
5. Restart kontakt as he does, and you should have the outputs that he selected. You probably still have to do to 16 outputs and 2 channels in output window, but now everytime kontakt opens, it'll open like his does.
I do have logic pro but stuggling on mixing and mapping. I’ll try reaper with ggd it’ll probably work more for me or idk ill check it out 😭
the first thing is definitely make a fake stereo bus so you can also run a reference track without it being affected by master processing
also when making new channels, always click the exclamation mark on the upper right window to reboot the Kontakt instance
whats your favorite drums
Really nice music in the intro
what song is playing in the background??
im dumb. you answered that at the end. good stuff man!
Bendermusic.bandcamp.com it’s some of my original stuff. I’ve done a lot since this video but I may start doing more TH-cam videos on mixing and writing.
I did at the first one when I watch this but second time never did it again .its hard to process it
Hey so i don't know if these comments are still read, bit i'm trying this but i don't have the kontakt 64 out plugin. The dll is nowhere to be found on my pc. I only have a kontakt plugin. How do you get the 64 out?
Thanks man that will help me a lot! BTW where can we listen to your background tracks alone? They sound great!
I don’t know if I have them anymore tbh 😂. If I did they’ll be on bendermusic.bandcamp.com under “rock and demo dump” I also stream sometimes at Twitch.tv/Fretr0 if your into that vibe!

Hi! Wondering why I dont have 15 outs? Only 64. Please help
You can just delete the ones you don’t need.
hey man, this was very helpful thank you for posting..i am new to GGC and it has been a very frustrating experience. i followed your directions verbatum and for some reason when i go the step where you change it 16 channels, it is not even allowing me to click the plus sign because i mistakenly set my current setting to default.
so ultimately i guess my question is how to i reset to factory settings or default? thanks for your help
you can hold shift to select all of them in a range btw
i'm following Your guides step by step with Invasion but unfortunately it doesn't work.
Can You please just share a blank session with the entire routing done for invasion in reaper? Upload it to send space, dropbox or maybe google drive?
Cheers from Ireland!
this only worked once for me now it doesnt want to do anything, it all comes out of st.1 and i cant change it
Mine is having the same issue
The main issue I'm having is getting the midi mapping to line up between Kontakt and Reaper. If I play a loop in the groove player, and then drop that file into Reaper and play it back, it doesn't sound complete. It's missing hits on drums and cymbals. Any tips on how to get that to line up?
How do you print audio files of the kit to the individual channels?
Thanks dude!
Did this a few years ago and just had to reinstall all my plugins and remake some templates. Kontakt is just being annoying and breaking routing, breaking playback.
What's the background song ? Nice video too!
It’s a song I made forever ago lol. Glad you liked it!

Came here to make sure somebody commented about holding shift instead of control. Brutal to sit through, haha. Thanks for the video!
Absolutely nothing happens when I scan native instruments...
I'm literally stuck at the starting point in all the guides I can find. I have Kontakt, I have the invasion drums and midi files, but nothing shows up in reaper.
same here
Do you NEED Kontakt to use the GetGood Drums packs in Reaper?
I've done all the steps until 6 min exactly as shown in the video but hitting the drum parts will not have their sounds show up in different reaper tracks. It's all still in Kt. st. 1. But at 2 min in the video, the unassigned tracks I get from inserting the VST already start at track 7, not as far down as shown in the video. I think the problem must be somewhere inbetween but reaper doesn't even behave as shown when doing the very first steps of this tutorial.

did you do them in order? I think having the tracks made in reaper auto sets the routing and checking multi out advanced presets where all the routes are set.
