I have used many different DAWS, Sonar, Logic and Garageband mostly and they all found the drum samples and routed the kick snare etc to the correct keys. Why can't my Reaper find any of the drum samples from not only downloaded Drum samplers like SSD5 but also Reapers own Drum sampler? The Drum samplers are there but the patches are empty and ask me to go find them. I like how you put in Superior drum3 and just go to the drum kits and they are already there and you can hear the sounds. I remember the good old days when Logic did that for me. Then you dragged in a drum pattern and you played it all within the first 3 minutes of the video. 3 minutes for me is looking through folders and going back to my Drum sampler and deciding maybe i need to reinstall it. 3 hours later I still have not begun making music. Don't get me started on the activated tracks looping the sound until it gets louder and louder and I have to deactivate the recorder. Aint life grand. Where is the button to mute the track looping while I sing? Why is it all so hard, why can't there be a standardized system for DAWs?
Very timely! I’ll be setting up multichannel routing for a Room Sound drum library this weekend. Kontakt is a lot more of a pain to set up when compared to something like Steven Slate 5
The hard way was what I was looking for and thanks sir, I finally decomposed my drum kit and didn't hear only kicks though I thought I had routed my drum set to sub-tracks. As it seems, they were all getting Audio 1/2 :)) Thanks a lot!
It's a little different, but this works with the ReaSamplOmatic5000 as well. You create as many RSO5000s as you need for the kit on one track, then in the fx window, click on the 2 out button, add the number of channels, then assign each to the appropriate output channels to each sampler. Then, create the tracks for each channel and name them, then adjust the routing on the track with the samplers and add your sends and point them. I'd never have figured this out if I hadn't watched this video. I clicked the like button a large (but odd) number of times to demonstrate my appreciation.
Thank you for this, it went a long way toward helping me figure out how to route Ugritones drum VST. I just clicked like on your comment really, REALLY intensely.
Hey there Adam, thank you so much for this video! I was wondering. What if you want to route each drum mic separately , do you then send it each one out as a mono track? I've seen many videos where people still send the mono mic out as a stereo, is there any benefit or loss by doing that?
seems like a lot of time wasted why can i just use as a vst record in stereo i mean toontracks mastered there samples ...i dont need b.s i need a drum vst that shows up in reaper
well, see a lot of us like to be able to treat the different samples with different effects, like different compression or EQ on different drums. That's why exploding them onto a bunch of separate tracks can be helpful for some of us.
but of course, thanx a lot for your very instructive videos ... I'm struggling with ugritone drums now to make it work and watching again and again to check what's making reaper crash ...😁

Great stuff, this method also works a treat in MX Drums (which is free).
Thank you Adam you are the man!
Thanks Adam!
How do I load BFD3 into reaper in the first place?
It's not being seen by reaper at all as a VTI or anything

Awesome thanks
Fantastic, thanks a lot !!
I'm a bit curious, have you managed to overload your M2 Macbook and had it give up? 🙂
Nope! Not even with a full mix running on batteries, 100+ plugins. No problems at all
@@adamsteelproducer Amazing, thanks a lot for the reply 👍🙂
I’ll watch this in a minute… I’m busy watching your video and make positions with Andy Ferris. You can never have too much Adam Steel.😂

very complicated ... plus it does not works ... still searching ... fingers crossed

I'm using ugritone too. Does your cpu meet the requirements? From my experience 4 cores is not enough.
@@TheFounj have you managed to get Ugri to work? And if so, do you have a project template you can loan me?
I did it this way with Ugritone and it works just fine. Make sure your channels are set correctly.
@@Skanking-Corpse yeah i got it to work. i uploaded my template to the Reaper Stash in case it saves anyone else time
