With the limited amount of information and is rare as the cyst are I believe every case is different and a video like this could compromise some people with their pain levels. I woke up this morning to look for some options to stretch to do some exercises because I was told my core was extremely weak

I'll be saving this video! Thank you! Simple yet targeted! The modifications are appreciated since sitting on hard surfaces can be unbearable. I had surgery to correct six bilateral TCs on s1-s3 in 2017. And while I know it likely helped slow the damage that was being done from the pressure being put on nearby nerves, it hasn't brought much relief. Hoping healing is coming! Trying these stretches tomorrow:)

:) Thanks so much, I have a Tarlov cyst in S2... I have a question, this excercises help if I also have Bertolotti's Syndrome (L5), Spina Bifida Occulta (L5) and a dehydrated disc (L4-L5)? :( I am always in pain, some times I can't even walk. :( I used to swim and I felt way better, but now I had sudden deafness in November, my auditory nerve is damaged and I can't swim anymore. I need something else to help me manage pain. Thanks!

I have had a tarlov cyst on my Sacrum S2 since 2016 has not grown or changed but am back in pain in my rectum again. Can I do the pelvic floor exercises like happy baby, rocking, childs pose etc. without causing more CSF fluid to get into the cyst or causing more p

I have good days and bad days. I find walking helps me the most but can't do any of the pelvic floor exercises because I can no longer lay on my back flat. I have not and am not planning on surgery as I have been able to get through my flares with ice and walking. Tumeric is really a great anti-inflammatory as well.

There is no way I could do some of these exercises without hurting myself! I've been living with tarlov cysts for over 16 years and I've learned what I can and can't do. I can't even lie on my back without the pressure causing intense pain and a likely pain flare that can last for days.

I was in a crash 6 months ago just had a MRI found out i have 11 herniated discs 6 in my neck c2 c3 c4 c5 c6 c7 andY1 and 4 lower Down, i Have a cyst tumor at c6 c7 affecting my neck my shoulder my right arm. I am getting teaction , and chiropractic adjustments, but im hurting worse and i wake up choking and my neck arm shoulder chest hurts bad on my right. I have to Get up and turn my head back n forth look up and down slowly move every angle then it lets up. My low back hurts my left leg 🦵 like sciatica but its a disk pressing on my cord. I cross my leg 🦵 over my right knee and push down on my left knee , it helps some, but i hurt terribly 😔 pain meds and muscle relaxers help hot showers Hot tubs, help for a short time. Low back teaction helps and hurts.

People with severe symptomatic Tarlov cyst disease should not do these exercises. Just the initial part imitates a straight leg raise test which horribly aggravates Tarlov cyst pain or any lower back mechanical issue. That's what they use to test if you have a major lower back issue because it increases your pain big time. Experts and patients who know-know that you cannot do physical therapy with TCs without making them worse, they grow and pain is worse. Only gentle warm water PT-mainly walking and floating or walking but not PT, not bicycling, not running, not twisting or straight leg raising.

Thank you for this validation. PT post hip replacement made it SO much worse !! They look at me like I am a psycho !! Took a break and now they have me doing this exercise and others. One set and I was worse the next day. Canceling all
Therapy and going back to walking in the pool and hot tub soaking. You made my day 😅
