Our school district used these cameras a lot before we could no longer use Hikvision due to the FCC ban, but these particular cameras were not good. The main problem is after 2 years or so water gets behind the lens covers on all 4 cameras. It fogs up the lens making them useless. The lens covers are also not meant to be taken off so I have to use heat and a knife to get the lens cover off and dry it out. After by best attempt to reattach the lens covers, it lasted about another month before they fogged up again. I hated these cameras, we eventually replaced all of them with a camera that could be easily cleaned if it ever fogs, which it hasn’t yet. I don’t recommend these cameras at all.
This camera is very clearly marketed for use outdoors on its packaging. The cameras electronics are quite watertight I found, but the issue is condensation getting in the lens covers which are not designed to be removed. And when you cant see anything but a foggy blurry mess, the camera becomes useless.@merluzo8269
Can you make a review of DS-2CD5A85 daytime and nightime(IR and color mode) because we cant find any reviews on youtube. Also a video about HDD Storage for 8MP cameras.
the digital zoom isn't that great at all and your video title is about 32 MP camera but you mainly spoke and show the 8MP one it was so confusing video

This is the 32MP model my friend , we have a separate one on 8MP model , it also can be made 8MP if needed to fit onto existing older hardware
