    Y’all are amazing. Thank you.
The car this is going in is an automatic transmission, power brakes, no air.
I believe those heads have been rebuilt, but I have no history on them.

So the bolts probably are just mixed up from a different year big block. Not sure how that happened, but no big deal.
Fun fact. The A heads have the largest port size, (without porting) out of all the big block heads.
The W30 engine coming your way is a 1972 with factory big valve Ga heads and the factory aluminum W455 intake.

You`re asking for trouble by installing seat rings in the heads. No reason too. Weak valve springs and loose guides wipe out seats not unleaded fuel. If you cut the head for seat rings and hit water, you can throw the head in the scrap pile.

Thanks Paul. Good advice. Is it possible to to a 3 or maybe 5 angle valve job on the head as cast without the seat?

Boy....I stay away from Oldsmobile. You have to have a degree in Oldsmobile to remember all the changes made from year to year.
Cool engines though, if you can figure them out....

Actually they are pretty simple to me. Maybe just the early 400/425 cam differences, otherwise I find them to be no different than any other GM or Mopar. They have great interchangeability. I would say that Ford probably has way more differences regarding engine platforms and changes. Ex: Small block Windsor, 289 and 302, then the taller deck 351W. Then you have the 351Cleveland (Great engine), and 400M?, then you have the FE's, 360, 390, 427, 428. All different. Then you have the Lima series, 429, 460. All great engines, but you really need to know the differences when you get into Ford territory.
