I'm so glad I watched this video because I have a small space a little bigger than yours and I was going to buy an Outlaw but I can see that those apps are way too big for my space. My wife already asked me to turn it down with what I have now. Plus I live in an apartment. I don't want to be an outlaw in my own apartment complex.
My 5.2 (hopefully 5.2.2 soon) running through a denon s760h is plenty load. I can't imagine needing or using that much power for that room, even with those speaker sensitivities. Save your ears from damage and tinnitus!
Yes the « you have too much power », « your speaker are overkill » need to STOP 🤯 It's always the same people who don't understand anything about distortion, SPL and so on. And also people who have never experienced a home theater with huge subwoofer that doesn’t distord when pushed to reference
What people don’t understand is having separates processor preamp and separate power amplifiers you without a doubt are truly giving yourself the real true experience of audio and video enjoyment at home. As it should be.
I use 2 5000x units myself, one for front stage, one for surrounds. I had a Yamaha amp that went into protection mode and cost almost as much to fix as to buy something new. When this happened, I was in no position financially to either repair my Yamaha or get something new. I had to go _2 years_ listening to everything over my TV's speakers! Anyway, I've been using my 5000x units for a little over a year now and absolutely love them. Outlaw for life.
You can never have enough power. Its all about headroom. How far can you push your system without distortion, stress or fatigue? Keep up the good work 🍺
This is awesome!! I love that you’re expanding the system like this for us!! 🎉 those amps are on my short list for my future system so I love that your doing this from beginning to end!! Please include the steps of connecting everything! 🎉 Also, are you going to have to run a new 15/20amp outlet in the room for all the amps and subs? I don’t think using a splitter will be a good idea! 🎉 Maybe incorporate a higher quality surge protector/power supply? 🎉 Can’t wait for next video! 🎉
It’s pretty cool I own one myself. You can add three devices and several options to turn on amps. You can use a single trigger out from a receiver or processor to turn on the module which will turn the devices or you can connect the module to a smart switch to turn on the module
I haven’t tested the 5 and 7 channel amps yet, but my Outlaw Audio monoblock amps only get slightly warm. In fact, I have 3 monoblocks stacked on top of each other and heat isn’t a problem at all.
Ooo… just noticed the AVR you’re using. So the Onkyo (and also the Pioneer equivalents) have an issue where low impedance loads- like your 4 ohm MPs- can cause the amplifier to go into a ‘protect mode’ where it will severely reduce power output. So, yeah, sticking with external power amps on this case was probably a good idea. FYI, Contrary to your assertion, 4 ohm speakers don’t require more power to drive. But they do present a more complex load for the amp and cheap amps typically don’t have robust enough power supplies to handle the extra current draw.
I've got three Outlaw 2220 monoblocks for my front stage and won't ever turn back. I'd love to get two more for my main surrounds and may do that when and if they go on sale again.

Is this room on a 15amp? I’ve been trying to figure out if I need to budget for an electrician to set up a 20amp. Between these two Amps + receiver + sub and tv(low watts from what I’ve read) if I’ll trigger the breaker?
Nooooo. Just my two cents. If any electrician. Says yeah sure I can bump up your breaker to a 20amp don’t do it please. Just have a Electrican go in and install wire up a new 15 amp outlet. Your home or apartment is not wired for 20amp. So it’s is much more safer to wire up a new outlet with a new 15amp breaker.
I do like the look of those meters, but at the same time they sit directly below the TV so that would be a bit distracting to have them lit up when watching movies. I do want to try Emotiva at some point. I’ve heard good things about them and would love to give them a try.
Yesssss. Okay when you will notice is when you have a turntable playing and while you wait for the needle to starting playing the song you hear that hssssss hmming noise. With XLR that will be minimal hissing sound while you wait and hear the Vinyl play music. I can hear the difference but I love being an audiophile so I know what to hear and look for.
Not sure you need to justify free stuff lol. Can we talk about that TV though.. what viewing angle is it giving you? Because on video it appears to be too small.
It’s a 55” screen and I’ll be sitting 7’ away. I think it’s close to being the right size. Forrest thinks I need to get a 70” but my wife says that’s too extreme 🤷♂️
@@GeorgeTheaterAtHome 70 inch would be the recommended 40 degree viewing angle for 16:9. That said they don't really exist and if your wife prefers something smaller 65 would probably be a good compromise? 55 would definitely be too small for me. I have a 55 in a small dedicated room but I sit about 5 ft from it.
Listening habits! Yeah, sure, it's nice for the entire system to come on automatically, but in reality, it's more to do with listening habits. Why have I disconnected the trigger to my Atmos power amp? Never mind, every time I play two channel music (Tidal Connect), I have to get up and turn off the Atmos power amp. I also find I prefer not to listen to the up-mixers! Therefore, unless it's Atmos (or object-based content), the poweramp should stay off. My opinion, of course. After all, some people enjoy 5.1 movies with the height channels on. And that I can understand. However, when listening to two channel rendered movies, height channels have to be off. Not unless one wishes to hear the exact same base-level signal coming from The Heights! Hence, when using AVR's that are not externally amplified. The front presence option
i am thinking that if the parts are of decent quality and it sounds great , then the consumer is being ripped off by almost every other manufacturer known . The prices quoted by Outlaw are astonishing .
Don’t believe everything you read I have the rz50 and it’s great no problems whatsoever chasing sinad is not a factor for me . the outlaws are very conservatively rated had the 5000x before . audioholics tested them and was getting 180 watts a channel out of the old 5000 in 8 ohms

Wow, thanks! I'll certainly check out the sale.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS. WHY NOT PEOPLE. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Right on my man. Enjoy it and have fun brother.

Looking forward to how you deal with sound complaints from the next bedroom over.
😆😆 if he says anything, I’ll remind him he doesn’t pay any rent
It’s always better to have way more power than you need.
I feel the same way about cars too!

I have a bunch of Outlaw amps; they are reliable and great performers, look great also. Would highly recommend their products.

I'm looking at buying theTW AD-8300 Do you have the TW AD-8300, how is it. Can you Bi Amp with it.

Thanks, glad you’re enjoying the series! I’ll try to cover those details in an upcoming video.
I did the same. Got all chane audio speakers, 2 outlaw audio amps and the arcam av41.
Lovely power amps, sadly not available in the UK, but nice to see them unboxed.
Love these videos but I clearly need to find some for an apartment living room/bedroom, single AVR, set-up! That's my limit sadly.
Don’t get a trigger cable splitter or splice a cable . Just get a trigger expansion module from emotiva for 40 dollars
I didn’t know they had such a thing. Thanks for the tip!!
It’s pretty cool I own one myself. You can add three devices and several options to turn on amps. You can use a single trigger out from a receiver or processor to turn on the module which will turn the devices or you can connect the module to a smart switch to turn on the module
So for anyone wondering the real answer is: “because I can.” And in this hobby that’s all you need to know. :)
Well said 😁
Why do you need any triggers? I have a basic amp for my Atmos speakers that turns on when say Atmos is triggered.
Loving this project! How is the heat from those? I’ve been eyeing Buckeye amps but I’m also a sucker for a sale. 😅

Rumor has it that the tiny Atmos theater will be getting a Trinnov Altitude 32 🤔
Shhh, no spoilers 😉
I've got three Outlaw 2220 monoblocks for my front stage and won't ever turn back. I'd love to get two more for my main surrounds and may do that when and if they go on sale again.

It’s a 15 amp circuit. I don’t anticipate having any issues, but we’ll see. If I trip a breaker you guys will be the first to hear about it 😁
Okay, this is good to know. Thank you both!
Don’t you wish they had vu meters? Did you consider Emotiva?
I do like the look of those meters, but at the same time they sit directly below the TV so that would be a bit distracting to have them lit up when watching movies.
I do want to try Emotiva at some point. I’ve heard good things about them and would love to give them a try.
The Emotiva amps have 12 volt in and out triggers.
Is there a difference in sound quality using XLR and the RCA connections. Which is better

Being unfamiliar with the outlaw brand , how are these prices possible ? i would think the parts alone would cost that much
Excellent question. I don’t have inside information for their business model, I can only speak to the result. And the results are excellent!
i am thinking that if the parts are of decent quality and it sounds great , then the consumer is being ripped off by almost every other manufacturer known . The prices quoted by Outlaw are astonishing .
Yes totally overkill in that space.
I went with open box Marantz sr7015
Too much power ll damage ur spkrs in long run ryt!?
No only if you raise the level up too much. But with this set up he will never have to reach half volume trust me.

make teardown of the amp !
I have 7000x on my Klipsch
Nice🎉
