Cowboy coffee put the grounds in a pot add water and boil. Hopefully you will strain it. Vs the old time ways of either adding cold water or egg White's to make the grounds drop to the bottom of the pot.
Hi, this is exactly the method coffee is brewed in India for ages, May be some 70-80 years ago also when there were no machines available to brew coffee.
I just made folgers columbian . Coffee maker but no filters. I put a few of the little napkins for a filter. Brewed like I usually do. I'm happy, and drinking it right now.
Hey joe nice video with easy instructions :-) ...had a question for ya...what ratio (grounds/water) do you use? If i were to do this with 12 oz water...roughly how much grounds should i use? Couldnt tell how big the mason jar was
Hmm., never knew about the three minute "thing" for medium grind. Good to know. I've seen other videos where they use a Pyrex measuring cup. Has a handle and pouring spout. Then pour through a strainer. 3 minutes--hmmm, gotta try that....
Out of filters? The paper towel will work if it's bounty, cheaper brands will not hold up and will probably dissolve and let the grounds through! BUT.. I have used a paper cupcake liner and it's almost just like a regular filter. I have also used a piece of cloth and it worked great too! Now I don't have to resort to any of that bc I found an actual reusable mesh coffee filter years ago!
My coffee machine broke. Thanks for reminding me I have a French press collecting dust on top of my fridge. Thing is gonna have a heart attack. It's been sleeping for about 5 years
I was thinking I cowboy it and pour cold water ontop the cold brings the grounds down and I guess stops it from extracting. I'm researching for a camping trip 🤔
Hey has anyone tried ripping a teabag open and using that as a filter or filling the teabag with coffee? Just a thought if you didn't have any coffee filters
Be careful choosing a paper towel. Some of the multiply use glue between plies. Might be the reason some brands will streak your shiny surfaces while you clean.
Hey everyone so i bought the wrong coffee and come accross this video but what i did was u no the kettle has a filter usually you can pull out at the front i took that out and used it as a strainer worked ok lol, thanks for the advice.
Simple solution is to use finer grounds or throw more coffee in there. I make mine like this and everyone else that’s tried it has complained it’s too strong.
Buy Hario paper filter 02, heat the cup, add 10 gramm coffee per 120 gramm water, add 92C water, stirr for 15-20 sec, wait 2 min, take the paper buy hands to drain - and you have very nice cup of coffee
@@Sweze taste like coffee, you might want to mess around with water temp, ground size and stuff. But usually when camping it goes in hot water, when it’s ready the grounds sink to the bottom and might get a few in your mouth at the end but i like to chew on them anyway haha
@@joepicksjoe2386 well, it was pretty good under those circumstances 😅. It did the job. Didn't taste the paper 🤣. That was a loooong time ago. You do what you got to do☕ for a cup of coffee 😁
I think your coffee machine is right behind you, You can use the filter basket to make a good drip cup of coffee~~ I would never recommend instant coffee. I have never found an instant coffee that is good.
Been taking my coffee this way. But somehow when I buy coffee from a cafe, it always tastes different like it has a rich aroma and you'd smell it all day, its different. I've thought maybe there's a way coffee maker coffee can be prepared at home without a machine
@@shyguy1051 Well, there's also a difference between what kind of coffee you buy from stores. Some of them are awful (cheap ones). But more expensive ones are usually better. But if you want a real good coffee, should look into some coffee-specific online (or in-person stores) where they sell fresh ground coffee. Heard it's amazing, but really expensive as well.
Thank you for this, our coffee machine broke and this helped.
I'll give the last option a try it looks easy enough!

Great idea!
Thank u so much for sharing tt method! I luv it!

The other method is what I do. Does the job 🤷🏼♂️

Just use any color bandana. Perfect filter!
Hey has anyone tried ripping a teabag open and using that as a filter or filling the teabag with coffee? Just a thought if you didn't have any coffee filters
You can buy coffee bags from Taylors. They work OK but not great.
Yes I have done that works good have to leave in longer than a tea bag
Perfect thanks
Thank you👌
It's not for everybody but you can always boil your coffee and then just wait for it to settle and then gently poor it.
good idea just not boil it for long or ill be too strong. maybe just for the 1 minute as he said.
Ive done this before when I forgot to buy filters. A little silt will accumulate on the bottom of the cup if you used a finer grind
Thank yoou!

Another quality video great job. Have you tried a fillable teabag?
Thanks! Yeah, we have some fillable teabags too. I suppose those would have worked perfectly too.
@@joepicksjoe2386 it doesn't brew too strong tbh. So maybe your way is better
Gosh..you took forever for this explanation. Like......forever........lol. Appreciate it though

This is tea bro. In brazil we call it TEACOOFFEE because it's SO weak that's almost a tea. Kkkkkkkkkk
Good tips though! Thanks 👍🏻

Cool Blade Runner shirt. 🦄
So if I have a nescafe instant coffee,I can just directly filter it the strainer way ? Or do I have to really ground coarse coffee
?
why cant you add regular coffee grounds to hot water? I’ve been making my coffee like that for a few years…
really!? How does it taste?

I need a filter, my coffee pot stopped working, sure need another one.
Once I used a paper towel instead of a filter 🤷🏻♀️...in a hurricane.
How did it work for you?

It's not tricky to hold the filter it's called a ruber band
After a ~90 seconds intro, I hear "Just use instant coffee" and "Use a coffee maker that just doesn't need power. Wasted my time, disliked.
You should of made cowboy coffee

Doing this now..mr coffee went kaput
10 minutes to show how to strain coffee through a paper towel. Sigh.
If you use cold water the coffee dose not have a bitter taste to it..then you would not burn your hand trying to pore it
Wtf i just mix boiling water with coffee, wait till it settles and drink. Theres not much science to making coffee lol
Not everyone knows how to make coffee. Majority of the people use coffee makers.

whyd u click this vid then
That’s how I started drink coffee. I never used presses or machines.
😊
Makeshift filter no put it in a tea bag
Or just use the kettle to brew it in it 😂😂😂
WITHOUT EQUIPMENT... god
6 mins. just to get how to make the coffee. Way too long and frankly. a little boring.
Aeropress is crap
