So funny how clearly nervous and uncomfortable he was in dealing with the extras from bedford stuyvesant during the making of do the right thing documentary
Only after a black man was murdered for no good reason and Sal didn't even stand by him after his death. It's no justification for racism. Pino was never right
I always thought that Radio Raheem brought a lot of his demise on his self. The truth is that he was a jerk. He would go into the restaurant blasting his boom box as if he was entitled to do this, and by him being reluctant to at least turn it down was inconsiderate. Sal just lost his patience and became so frustrated (who wouldn't?) that he lost it and destroyed the boom box. Was he wrong? Maybe, but Radio was just as wrong.
White people don’t just die from being jerks. And cops are supposed to de escalate situations not make things worse and kill people. God what is wrong with peoples way of thinking in America??
joe jones is that what the cops slogan is now lol what comes around goes around? I’m sure they wouldn’t have done Sal that way if he was choking Raheem. And you know it. Dumb ass
Someone being inconsiderate by playing their music loud does not mean they should be strangled to death... Like, you realise cops aren't supposed to kill people, right?
@@GeronFletcher Radio Raheem attempted to murder sal and resisted arrest. What happened is regrettable but he put himself in that situation. Id be saying the same thing if he and sal had their positions reversed.
I never get the feeling with Spike that he really brings people together, but rather wants to create something that is against the white and that we blacks can be proud of. Build bridges instead of walls - Spike will never learn that.
like in real life... the white and asian working and the black only sitting in the street drinking and hating the people who earn money with working...
just be a good person, have empathy, treat folks how you want to be treated and "get paid".
Mutually.
Spike Lee needs some bell hooks.
Are we gonna live together? Together, are we gonna live?
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
That’s the triple truth, Ruth.
Spike Lee is a genius but he gives the weirdest interviews 😂; true artist
*the realest
A genius? Is he like good at math or something?
@@John_Malka-titsgenius doesn’t just have to be academic. u can be a creative genius
Why did Sal serve Buggin Out’s slice on just a piece of wax paper and not a plate?
Good catch
Because he had an attitude
This is a truly great film and will live forever
yes... the white and asian working and the black only sitting in the street...
Peace my nobleness

28:00 tbh i had no clue why he did it.
I hate to say it but Spike Lee always had a problem with Asians
I'm assuming he got New York with not problem for Summer Of Sam.
Korean got grant and tax's free years our government gave to them to help them out. That why they have business.
You do realize you can get a grant as well if you have a business ? Lmao 😂 if you are in America doesn’t matter your race smh 🤦🏽♀️
@@ThePorshaEdmunthat’s not the point whatsoever. But carry on
The burning of the pizza shop proved that Pino was right to want to move out of the black neighborhood.

@@MichaelTurner856 do you expect sal to stand by the man who almost choked him to death?
He didn’t mention Danny Ailello when he spoke about those who have died since. He’s only the best thing about the film.
I'm pretty sure Danny was still alive when this interview was conducted.
@@coolcreep , Danny Aiello died in December of 2019. It looks like this interview was done sometime in 2019 but BEFORE Danny Aiello died.
