Back in my younger years, I owned several ATVs, incl. a Suzuki Quadracer, a Honda 200x 3 wheeler a Yamaha Warrior, etc. I always thought it would be so cool to have a street legal 4 wheeler. When these bikes came out, I was really excited. Immediately wanted 9ne, but never pulled the trigger. Still might at some point, though at 57, I feel like my riding days are behind me. Great video! I honestly don't know why people hate on these so much....I could totally see that it 'isn't a motorcycle' but I just feel that it's pure fun. You don't have to worry about balance as much and you get that low-slung feeling of a motorcycle. My dad owns one and I've ridden on one and it's fun as hell. If you're deciding to get one, especially the f3, they're not a daily driven vehicle but it's great. Not for everyone though; if you want a motorcycle get a motorcycle.
Just bought a 2018 F3 Limited in late 2018 season. This machine is what got me out of the car. Hey I like the looks and sounds of a Harley or Indian, but there is no way I can handle a 800 lbs cruiser at 53 years old. Had I been riding for 30 years my story whould have a different ending, love the looks of a Harley Road King Specail. I have one friend who hated on me for getting g a Spyder. The F3 fits me just perfectly.
Awesome, thinking about getting one of these. There’s one near me for 15000.00, it’s a 2015 art with saddle bags in the back but on trunk! I rode motorcycles my whole life until Obama’s economy made it so I had to sell my Valkyrie to pay my property taxes!😡 then 4 years ago I had a major stroke which took my balance away, I had to learn how to walk and talk all over and the Doctor and rehab people were really impressed with my recovery! They asked me if I believed in God and I said YES!! One Doctor said that’s probably why I recovered so well. Thank you Jesus and our Father in heaven!!! Loved the verse you snuck in there on your test ride! Bless you!🙏🏻 my wife and use to ride quite a bit with her cousin and her Husband, he has a big Ultra Classic Harley. My wife wouldn’t feel comfortable ridding on a 2 wheeler any more, but I think I could get her on the back of the Spyder!!!
i have a Ryker rally and St1100, R 1200 GS and never had a problem riding or changing back and forth. I don't understand his problems with motorcycle to can-am
Yeh, I own a Spyder RT and while I love SRK and Bikes and Beards, he always annoys me when he calls Can Ams closer to a car. It is nothing like driving a car and much more like a quad or a snowmobile. Honda DCT 4-wheelers are very similar to driving a Can Am (except with a Can Am you don't get a sore thumb!).
You are so wrong about the difference in braking I have both a spider and a Honda and as basically the same cause on a motorcycle you brake mostly with your feet. Rear brakes first. This thing is amazingly comfortable .
If you ride standards and especially sportbikes it's really easy to lock up the rear wheel under moderate braking, especially downhill when the weight is already biased off the back. You do use both brakes but more than half comes from the front, especially in a hard stop. With cruiser style bikes people can get the lazy habit of not using the front brakes - but you still need them in a hairy situation.
While researching this bike the guy who made this video is like the 12th person dong a video on the spyder who has said that riding a spyder is harder for motorcycle riders for easy if you are coming from driving a car BUT... don't you need your motorcycle license to buy and ride a spyder???...

I gives a damn what people say about the Spyders or Rykers I love them both and will ride with my head up high and chest out.

I just rode an F3S yesterday, I'm a biker of 21yrs, but This thing.... This is the most fun ive had on 3 wheels.

rs/rss and st model were 998 vtwins. the f3/f3s and rt's are 1330 triple cylinder.

Licensing will vary from state-to-state. Check your state regulations. In my state the license for a motorcycle does NOT qualify for riding a CanAm.
For California, all you need is a regular car license for a 3-wheeled vehicle like the can-am and M1 for a motorcycle.
