I’ve been riding two wheels for 30 years and just got my wife a 2019 spyder F3S special edition, she is pissed, I literally can’t stay off her new ride it’s so much fun. No it’s not a bike and it’s not a car it’s a whole new animal and boy is it fun. Do people wave at me when I take it out, hell no but I ain’t got time for snobs but I’ll still be waving 👋. Best of all I get to go ride with my best friend, my wife. Peace

I took the Spyder class back in Aug. These are super fun to ride. Me and 2 other fellows with 5 women. None had motorcycle license or experience except me. every one 50 + in age. Noobees find these less intimidating than 2 wheels. Maint is weird on these. Real funky oil filter. about $150. filter , 6 O-rings and oil. That's if you do service yourself. Dealer, probably get you for another C-note. The F-3 didn't look to bad. Only a couple pcs of tupperware. The RT, forget about it, lots more plastic and you gotta take the right side mirror off. And I though only the Germans were this ridiculous . I still may get one, as they are a hoot. If Honda ever produces one, the Spyder will be in deep trouble.

I took the basic three wheel training course the middle of last month. There are a lot of big ego's out there. It sure as hell is a motorcycle. But, a lot more stable. You learn all the same stuff as a two wheel motorcycle to get your endorsement. So happy to sit on a stable bike.... Safely First! I have Cerebral Palay and had a blast on a 900cc Ryker. I will probably buy An RT Limited though.....The instructor was 100 percent correct. After the better part of a day learning how to use the Ryker I was tired. The RT Limited is the open road Cadillac of motorcycle riders. Semi Automatic, ABS, Stability Control, Heated Seats, And hand grips, plus a lot more. A true motorcycle that a disabled person can operate with confidence, and safety #1. Buy the way! Do you know what ego stands for? "Edging God Out!"

Depending on where you live and in my case Massachusetts, it is tagged as a motorcycle but so is a Polaris Slingshot. They are actually a “TRI-MOTO”. Not really considered a motorcycle by the true definition [of what a motorcycle is], but...... it NOW fits the broad category for registering it as such. It’s like if I remove the left front tire from my minivan, does it make it a motorcycle? I’ve built two custom three wheel vehicles and they are both registered as motorcycles because of the wheel count..... Fun.. oh, yea.. like a barrel of monkeys...... it’s all about the journey not the destination or what you use to get there.

since they first came out, I've thought they were nothing more than a snowmobile with wheels instead of tracks and skis. Now they're very fancy, but frankly all that electronic crap is asking for trouble. computers and sensors and switches will fail eventually, no question about it... and when they do, they're difficult and expensive to fix.

This one has aftermarket handlebars. Less than 5 seconds to 60 is fast enough. I bought a new F3-S a month ago and have already clocked up more than 2,500 miles. They take a bit of getting used to, but after almost 250,000 miles on motorcycles, I am going to sell my remaining two bikes, a Buell Ulysses and a Yamaha MT-01 because I don't want to ride them anymore. Why? I prefer my Spyder!

Trust me it's not like riding a motorcycle, if you like leaning into corners it's just like riding a quad, it's more body lean which is ok if you like riding quad on the street? Would I buy another one? doubt it. kept it about a year and moved on.

On the older spyders you have 2minutes or so you can park turn off bike. Fill up, get drink, you can turn them on start and go. The bike weighs F3 815 lbs. it has 115 hp. Now take it to pitbull, Lamonster they can make you out front of the pack. Mine burns rubber and I want to ride a wheelie. Am I alone?

Many people, maybe most, give up on Can Ams before giving them a fair shot. If you get an RT or RT Ltd and you're coming off of a fairly long history on two wheels, you're going to have your work cut out for you. That was my situation and it took me 5000-6000 to become one with the machine. I accomplished that by riding 100-150 miles per day practicing in the twisties in Northern Colorado. I was ready to kick it to the curb for months. But, once I got dialed in, man, there's nothing like it! I hooligan this thing like a sportbike; 23-35 MPH corners at 60 plus, hanging off the side and blitzing out. I suggest for like souls to try anything in the F3 lineup. They weigh less. a lot less, the rider sits inside it rather than on top of it like an RT. I tell people that a Hayabusa and a Daymac Go Kart played spin the bottle and my machine is their love child. The choice; a motorcycle or a Sportkart!

    • @Winterstick549
      @Winterstick549 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

Plus you can get soft bags and a taller fairing for the F3 and weigh much less than the RT

I used to love to ride, my back and knees can't take the miles anymore.
Seriously considering a touring one of these as an alternative.

Get one with a backrest and tunes and you'll be having lots of fun. Play your favorite jazz music and you'll be enjoying what many other riders enjoy. Wind therapy. Life goes by quickly so add a little fun if you can.

In New Zealand it’s classified as a car and you can ride it on a Car License only. One of our buddies on our ride, rides one of these.

ok , after you said you have ridden one in the snow , thats the only thing i can think of that would be more fun on this than any other bike on the street , throw some studded winter tires on it and just rally it around on the streets. would probably be a blast.

For someone like me with permanent nerve damage in my back this is perfect. Push on the opposite leg in the corners

  • @badapple65

Do they sell a track for that for the snow? It would be a big hit in the Midwest to the North if converted to a snow mobile for Winter.

Going off the Honda three wheeler is kinda bs, stupid people killed themselves an experienced rider who knows the limit of their skill and their atc can whoop any four wheeler out there, I’ve personally taken corners that four wheelers take at 30 at 55, so it’s not the machines fault at all it is in short the rider and same goes for trikes, I rode my grandfathers HD freewheeler and HATED it , it fights you even in a straight line and corners even worse
