love the "creepy, stalking from behind" footage. completely unnecessary, but perfect for the theme

    • @MrCODEmaster00
      @MrCODEmaster00 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Can someone explain the stalking from behind footage to me?
Is it to imitate people with pitchforks coming for him, is it to imitate big foot (aka sasquatch) since big foot MIGHT have more leg room just because of having a bigger chasis for legs, is it just to add onto the weird 80s horror movie (involving rape.. or somebody sucking a females neck mind you?)
I generally like FortNine's ~~reviews~~ ads because of the production value and I want to get into motorcycles and found his channel as reccomended to me and watched the best begineer gear, than got hooked to the tested series, then was curious to see if he tested motorcycles just to find these wonderful movie-ads, and I like them.. but.. this one just is odd to me.

The creepy footage is thrown in there because of the monster theme; as in Can-Am created a monster or a Frankenstein's monster of a vehicle.

Great for those who can no longer be on 2 wheels. Also, great for anyone who enjoys riding them. If you do what makes you happy regardless of “popular” opinion, your my kind of person. I’ll still wave as I go by on 2.

Oh shit I forgot they have store.
Seems odd though, with Ryan fortnight honesty, you'd really wonder how they get sponsors / merchandise to sell.
But I guess if I'm a consumer, I'd buy what Fortnine is selling since they really criticize those stuff.

I bought one after sliding off my bike in Spain (not my fault). It takes some getting used to but it is a great machine. It is hard work when driving in the Dolomites, but for long distance cruising at higher speeds on Autobahns it is great... comfortable at 140 to 150 kmh. Love it.

Try an F3-T in '17 with auto and floor boards and take it on a long haul. The floor boards I didn't expect to like at all and they make sense on these (I'm 6'5" with a 37" inseam so I had them fit it out for me for the test run), it gives a better plank to push against when counter-weighting the turns snowmobile style and lets you shuffle your feet around as well. I had the inside wheel lifting when pushing hard on highway on/off ramps. Pretty fun. I think these make the most sense as a long haul cruiser because they take a lot of the fatigue out of the ride. A long run may make more sense of the utility in it.

The point you make about steering is super accurate. During my early teens I always rode dirt bikes. I hadn't ridden a fourwheeler at all yet, and the first time I hopped on one, I went to turn and I started to go the opposite direction. It was weird. Counter steer makes things totally different.

Yes, I own this bike. If it took you 5 seconds to get from 0 to 60mph, you are doing it wrong. I have the semi auto and I can go it stock in less than 4. closer to 3.5
It is a beast that loves you. I've taken it on road trips for hundreds of miles and it is more comfortable then any Harley. I am about to pay this one off and I think I will get a 2021.

I love the concept of the Spyder, but I'm not yet ready to plunk down money on one for a few specific reasons:
    1) Wiring Harnesses - BRP insists on using wire gauge a size smaller than Japanese bikes. They've had far too many recalls for harness issues.
    2) Overall Reliability - BRP products consistently rate among the lowest in long-term reliability in studies like JD Power.
    3) Maintenance Accessibility - Ever try to do basic maintenance on a Spyder? Set aside a weekend... you'll need it. BRP buries EVERYTHING you need access to.
    4) Customer Support - I can't stress this one enough. I came across a man stranded on the side of the Interstate with a dead Spyder. Completely lifeless except for the dash. I watched him struggle with BRP Roadside Service for AN HOUR, only to be told at the end that his warranty was 6 months expired, so they couldn't help him with warranty coverage. They arranged for a wrecker to pick him up and take him to the nearest dealer... 60 miles away... for 600 DOLLARS!
I told him to hang up, and I got him a wrecker that was only 15 minutes away. Same trip... $120. Less than a *quarter* of the price.
If the Japanese made a Spyder, I'd buy it. But as long as BRP retains their current level of QC and customer support, I'll pass.

Evolution on the 3 wheel variant is cool. They look like good fun with HP and TQ numbers increasing. Maybe the future will have a dual sport versions. I have a lifetime on two wheels and for anybody that does not respect another open air vehicle is clueless. Being a motorcross rider and seeing the first UTVs offroad some riders smugged them. Now half of those riders now also have Rhinos or other UTVs to go along with there bikes. If its fun ride it!!!

I was thinking about just going out and buying a Spyder but this video made me think "I've got to test ride a couple of models first to see if I want to transition from 2 to 3 wheels right now." Everything you said about cornering, handling on three tracks, the "nanny" all made perfect sense. So, thank you.

You can definitely trail brake the curves and twisties, I do it every day through the curves, turns, and twisties in Northern Colorado. It takes time to build skills on these but so much worth the while. I bought mine because that's all my female was willing to ride on. Once I was dialed in I'm glad it worked out that way.

Thanks for reviewing this. I’m a perfectly healthy male who’s just getting into open air cruising. I just got my 2 and 3 wheel endorsement (required here in the US). I’m in the market for that very model. I love the orange pipe work. I’m also looking for a 2 wheel bike as well. I want the ability to ride whatever I want but have chosen the F3 as my daily driver. Just because I like it.

i only ride motorcycles, but i can see how this thing can get a person outside into the fresh air. you don't have to balance at stop lights. it can't get knocked over while parked. it is very difficult to steal by lifting and throwing into a trailer. and although it can't lean in corners it is still fun to take corners on, just like many sport cars. and the power to weight ratio makes it a fun ride

For the price point, you're better off buying a Miata. Some might enjoy this, it is pretty well built, but I just can't see this replacing the joy I get from being on two wheels.

I think the handbrake on the handlebars is a problem because if you have to brake when turning sharp your arm is fully extended, so you have less control, unlike a two wheeler where you are leaning and the hand controls are closer.
I do agree that impaired riders should have more choices though from BRP, I just sold my RSS to an amputee and he did not have a lower left leg which worked for him as the brake is defaulted for right leg operation.

hi, very nice video, keep up the nice work.
let me say there is nothing like the feel of a 2 wheels motorcycle.
but with the increasingly unsafe roads today, the F3S is safer for non skilled riders who like to enjoy the open road. i guess the can-am provide that braking and line changing capability ( for the non skilled ) more than non skilled persons riding a motorcycle.
P.S. i crashed on an XJR400 because of a woman making a U-turn suddenly and i were still not experienced enough to do what it takes to avoid it.

I'm sure somebody has turned the aids off, it may not be as easy as pushing a button but I don't see it being impossible, that's really my only critique I have good review, instead of buying a can am I've been building a reverse trike like it using a cb750 and a vw front end, I hope I don't feel as many bumps as you did but I don't know that the front end would be that rigid it did roll right over a curb without skipping a beat or noticing but I think your review gave me a little bit of an idea of what to expect when I get it done

A bike license can cost you up to 2500 usd in sweden. If you're a fast learner and has
a good teacher you can get away with 1800-2000 usd and three months of spare time...
The bare minimum is around 800 without driving lessons and the books and stuff you
    need.
    Driving permit: 25$
Tutors permit: 20$ (As a learner you can't go out riding whitout a tutor.
Wich could be anyone who's had bike license for at least five years)
Risk edu and management part 1: 85$
Risk edu and management part 2: 340$
    Knowledge test: 40$
    Final driving test: 185$
Driving license printing and digital photo: 85$
    Eye exam:11$
Can drive the Can am on my car license, so why not. A good alternative i think.

Great video as always! But not really with you when saying it’s not a good start for motorcycling... it is. I’m a great example, as I started with the Spyder back in 2012 for 2 summers, then moved on to a 800GS and now with a 1200GS. Simply, if I hadn’t done the move, I wouldn't had done the move to motorcycles... And yes it does prepare you for bikes, as it shows you "your place on the road", the gear, helmet and so on. Compared to others in my beginner course which had no experience at all, my learning curve was much shorter, as I was used to being outside in the naked of things, acceleration and so on. The tilting, braking and so on was really easy to pickup. cheers.

At the end I thought it would apologize. You know, because it’s Canadian.

The Campagna Trex is also a Canadian trike. Tho as a product its not as well executed as the Spyder, I think its a much cooler concept of a trike. I have not try either, but if I was offered a chance on one I would go for the Trex. Great video by the way

If I were to buy a trike (i.e. NEVER), it would be Nikken. I liked your review of it a few years ago.

Getting another Kawasaki in the spring. I suspect it will be the last. As I progress into my 70's probably going to need something that does not want to tip over when I stop. Met a man with one and he loved it. While we were talking his wife came out and said she really enjoyed being on the back.

Would be fun to see a video of a Ural. A different kind of 3 wheeler. Its not nearly as fast as an F3 in fact its downright slow. But it makes up for it with a lot of other fun qualities.

Interesting, I've just gone from a sports bike to a quad. The description of the handling is what I've found. It is nothing like a bike or car. I'm learning a completely alien skill 😱 but fun in it's own way, all be it so much slower 🥴

On a bike you can lean into a turn on this it does not lean so it feels like your getting thrown off. Which would mean you would have to ride it like you would any quad right? ; )
