(I am only expanding on what dogbert has commented. Along with my own opinion.) I like how the music changes when you select a different episode and the music matches with the tone/vibe of the episodes 1 sounds otherworldly and sci-fi, since Skunkape is a villain from space. 2 sounds old and ancient, since the episode sees Sam and Max witness the adventures of their Great-Grandfathers. 3 sounds more serious and noir, since the first third of the episode sees Sam go on a noir-like investigation to find Max's missing brain. 4 sounds more ominous and unsettling, since the episode has Sam and Max explore the city while evading Sam clones to finally solve the mystery of the Devil's Toybox and stop Charlie. 5 combines all the instruments of the previous melodies to show that this is the final chapter, everything you have gone through has led up to this moment, it is now or never.
@@CarefreeMan for series full of random ass adult clever humor with goofy characters and ridiculous scenarios, knowing that Sam and Max are canonically dead, latter in original and former in alternate timeline, is genuinely rough...
0:00 Drums & dishes
1:40 keyboard (sci-fi) & Bells or xilophone
3:18 double bass & piano
4:57 double bass, saxophone & clarinet
6:34 keyboards (on sci-fi modes)
8:17 ALL INSTRUMENTS TOGETHER
i love how the different instruments correspond to what the different episodes vibes are
Until they all collide to make up the theme for episode 5 and Skunkape’s Ship in the big finale episode!
@@Otisboy121 what a disappointment
This rules; such good atmosphere in each section. I get chills by the 5th episode's track!
