Yeah as a frenchman I was wondering the same, of course it’s always good to win, but it’s not that good when it’s that much over both the flag team and the youth, specially with 20 mn at 14. The north hemisphere needs to have strong nations, not only 2… as I’ve said to our english friends, we’ve been there too after the 2011 RWC final, the key is to focus on the youth, to develop a solid youth program, that’s what helped us. But it took us a decade to get results.

Agreed. The ridiculous performance in the senior and U20 games for Wales this year genuinely felt like pain to watch the Welsh games, to the point where watching other teams like Ireland and Scotland is more entertaining.

Jeez,how good are France.They destroyed England last week,who gave Ireland a serious game.Think France scored 6 tries against Ireland and still lost,so well done Ireland who got a double grand slam on Paddies weekend and the Gold Cup.

France and Ireland both scored 32 tries with a points difference of 120+. They are so far ahead of everyone else in Europe right now. Italy look promising, England will always be decent. Scotland and Wales look doomed sadly. Big changes needed in their development system...

Can't help but feel these 2 sides don't belong in the same competition. Wales under 20s are clearly leagues away from France - not sure how many positives they can take from getting any confidence mauled out of them like this

There was a huge gulf in speed, skill and execution between the 2 sides which was no surprise. Wales were always likely to be on the receiving end of a hiding which wasn't helped by a referee who bottled 2 clear cut red card decisions against the French hooker and open side. The referee needs educating.

That's true, but the fact that France spend 20 minutes of that game a man down and still put up 67 points on the board is embarrassing for Wales!
