My camera screen works in 24pfs, but turns off at higher frame rates. It’s very possible that it’s because I haven’t got the settings correct though. I’m that kid who hates instruction manuals 😅
Can you see the AF square box on the Shinobi for Eye and Face AF? And can you do touch to focus and shutter release? I've been thinking to get one but for still photos mainly.
I picked up a Feelworld 5” and returned it after discovering the A7C eye detection focus was inoperable with the monitor. Do you have these same issues?

Okay, I checked it and the eye detection definitely still works. It only shows up on the camera screen though, so if you don’t see the little square on the Shinobi, that’s normal!!
@@NotThatRyanReynolds What I noticed is that "object tracking" does not work when filming with an external HDMI monitor and 4K. Have you noticed the same? Thanks! (I could swear I saw this working before but now I'm thinking maybe I imagined it? 😅)
Yeah! I’m 99% sure that it’s essentially the Ninja V but with no recording capabilities. I could be wrong, there might be one or two little features missing, but I haven’t found them yet. That’s actually exactly why I really wanted the Shinobi!
I have both the Ninja V, and the Shinobi. The Shinobi actually has more features than the Ninja V, so I think the Shinobi is actually a better monitor, as long as you don’t need an external recorder. Plus the Shinobi is a whole lot lighter. But the recorder on the Ninja V is pretty awesome.
@@Panotaker Thanks for the info! Do you find the recorder on the ninja to have any use with a A7C, since it still only records 8bit via HDMI? Just trying to see if an A7C user would have any reason to consider the Ninja over the Shinobi. Thanks!

Mainly because back then, a lot of cameras had a 30 minute record limit, and you could record longer with the Ninja, but you probably don't need it if you have an a A7C. Im kind of glad I have it though because now I can use it with the Ninja Cast, plus that recorder is always nice to have.

Yes, you can! It doesn’t show the tracking in the monitor, but it is still working behind the scenes!

@@NotThatRyanReynolds Yes, Eye AF and Touch tracking is disabled in 4k mode when an external monitor is plugged in. Maybe you're shooting in 1080?
