  • March is Women's History Month, so I decided to I follow the inspiring stories of five female athletes at my school.
    Empower, and be empowered.
Big thanks to these awesome ladies for being in my vid!
    MIDN 2/C Amanda Agana
    MIDN 2/C Rachel Lee
    MIDN 2/C KT Salerni
    MIDN 2/C Sami Nourse
    MIDN 3/C Prescillia Troung
    MIDN 4/C Meghan Gerdes
The U.S. Naval Academy first accepted women in the class of 1980. Extracurricular activities, such as Joy Bright Hancock Organization (JBHO) and the Naval Academy Women's Network, focus on continuing the discussion on deconstructing gender norms.
This is my first shot at an "inspirational" video. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
    Music used: Primavera Ludovico Einaudi

I believe you misgendered some in the video based only on their looks. Some of them want to be called men.

We really do not need people to discourage us, we do a fine job ourselves. When we change our mind positively about ourselves and our dreams we feel like overcomers. Success is in the person, not in others opinion of us.

This is so inspirational. My dream has always been to achieve the acceptance to the Naval Academy ever since I was in the second grade, almost everyday I come up against human beings that tell me that it's not worth it, women don't go to the Academy and all I can say is that it's a dream and I'm willing to fight for. Woman should be allowed to do whatever a man can do. That also applies to the qualifications. If they can meet the standard without it being lowered why would we be so stupid not to let them serve.

Women only had to fight for there rights and power for 100+ years.Men had rights/power ever since society became a thing. In the 1800s,women were seen as mens property and were pretty much only there to pop out kids and do whatever a man says.Men never had to do that.I will admit it seems unfair now though. And I think there should be a celebration for men aswell, but women had to go through alot throughout history to be equal.
