    Mine took 45 days to come. I saw your videos and posts in the forum and even though I was hesitant, I decided to get it. It is indeed a nice multi-tool. The quality is impressive for what it is. And at that price, it is even better. Excellent gift, loaner, or beater tool.
    Thanks again. I thought I was subscribed, but I was not. I am now. Cheers.

      @@maxlvledc It looks fine, and is decent quality. The small tools lock solidly, as does the file. The serrated blade and saw have a little play. The plain edge blade has a lot of play, so I am just a tiny bit disappointed. I do not know what to do. I am not going to return it. it took a long time to get here, and if I send this back it might get lost in the way, and even if they receive it, who knows how long it will take for a replacement to get here, if they agree to replace it. Maybe a partial refund?

    I have a Gerber multiplyer I gave to my son it was expensive back when I bought. i got a multi force and i love it. It's the best for the price so far. Love the outside open and the driver set. The price man just can't beat it. ALSO many players can pinch you including my multiplyer.

    No my brother no ranting lots of useful stuff in your on goings I just recently lost a Leatherman super tool 300 or it possibly was narrowed if you know what I mean
    But I to have come across these amazing things I am sold at the price points as well this is something hard to beat and the fact it's a Ozark trail or a mossey oak is quite something like I am so impressed with the whole thing of not having to spend that type of money for a Leatherman replacement I will be buying a nock off that will do the job hands down I am a fan that sometimes cheaper is better just because I feal reality is what ever gets it done
    Thank you for broadening up what I have heard others talking about now I do see it's all true and very forth with as a consumer and a craftsmen who relying to good quality tools this is amazing and damb good for he money

    Great presentation mate. Yeah.. you're Mr. Miyagi of multifold & respected, not just for your knowledge but also for widening our horizon on tool using. You're correct in saying that we don't need high end tools to perform and again as you say not many of us, including me can afford over price gadgets. I have friends in the police force, firemen & women, in the military & rescue team uses Chinese made apparatus to perform their duties & rescuing. It works, that's all that matters & it doesn't break the bank. "Pimp my Multi" that's what my twin girls call your show. As knives are illegal to carry where we are, a multitool is acceptable. Go figure!! My girls never leave home without their multitool as we live on a large land area full of bushes, trees & wild life. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe mate.

Recently they both just turn 25 and asked me to make them a bush craft knives. A challenge indeed but I've got some sleeve spring in the workshop, it will work. My girls loves the outdoor & outback activities. They even make things with their multi tools, they can make notches, feathering etc & start fires. Their older sister Rylie carry a Victorinox. When the pandemic hits, they all came home & been with us ever since. It's a joy for their mother, having her babies at home. Although they can be a pain in the butt, we do spend quality time together. We go camping, fishing or fixing fences around the property. Over here they call Jillaroos. Again mate, cheers for sharing. Stay safe.

      Seems relatively easy to do! Just needs to be sharpened

    Leatherman should really upgrade the bit holder to a real one.
    And why are they still so focused on flat and Phillips screwdrivers? Torx is everywhere nowadays.
    They should provide a pocket clip , 150€, and they can't provide a pocket clip???
    And for this price they could really improve the blade steel.

    Really a tool of choice, if you're on a budget. Low quality steel though and poor heat treatment (my guess is 50-52HRc), but hey, for around 20 bucks you get a tool that gets most of the jobs done.

      It's 8cr13mov I'm sure it's better than that hrc

    • @mannihh5274
      @mannihh5274 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@druidic4353 - 8Cr13MoV is a low quality steel, but what makes it a good or bad knife is the heat treatment - and there the manufacturers tend to cut down their costs. Sharpen the blade to Razor sharp, then cut through 10 yards of cardboard and look, if it still cuts paper. If it does - ok, if not it's a poor heat treatment.
      BTW: I own the Kershaw '1920 'Select Fire' which is from 8Cr13MoV too. It cost me 47€ and is hardened to 57 HRc, the same as my Moras.

      @@mannihh5274 8cr13mov has a way better chemical composition than leathermans 420a or Bucks420hc.. It's at the high end of budget stainless steels and .8 percent carbon is better for edge making and edge holding than either of the 420's at .37 and .46 respectively. No one into knives would choose for 420 over 8cr13mov. BTW. The Chinese consistently show they know how to properly heat treat their stainless steel as well as tool steels like D2..

    • @mannihh5274
      @mannihh5274 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikeborrelli193 - fully agree, 8Cr13MoV is a better steel quality than 420, but it's still a budget steel. Also fully agree, that the chinese know how to heat treat - but they not always do, especially on cheap knives/tools.
      As I said, sharpen it, hone it and cut cardboard, then you will see, if there is a proper heat treatment.
      I once bought an Esee-Izula-clone from China, the "thingy" they sent me was not even forged, but cast. They lied it was 1095. Got some "Nylon-Paracord-550" that actually was from polypropelene too from there.

    There is a market for quality tools that American's want and can afford. Leatherman will need to accept this and adapt if they don't want to see a decline in sales in the future. Even the Chinese want your money, and they aren't going to continue to put out crap if it isn't selling. The game is being upped. The 2020 OT Fixed Blades are a STEAL for the price for what you get.

      your dead right, the Leatherman warranty and reputation has kept them in the game through a number of missteps already, they need to get back to making functional tools.

      true...but in this case.. not only is it designed somewhat differently (outboard tools are on opposite side from the wave), but also all relevant patents on the wave are expired regardless.

    Non-replaceable pincers are unacceptable in full-size multitools.

  • @imanassole9421

    If Leatherman was smart they would make a completely customizable multi tool, with tons of options. Am I the only one who finds it funny that nobody has really done that? You can make things work, but they aren't built for the platform, you have to watch out for quality of like ebay mods. Really what are they thinking?!
