i can appreciate what vince staples has been doing lately with his projects. id rather have a great album with only 8-10 tracks than an okay album with 15+ tracks

Everytime I re-listen to the album I find a new track that I put on repeat.
Beezy you definitely need to go back to Summertime 06. That shit is lowkey a modern classic.

Vince came with a fresh style here. He sounds tired of life, like he’s seen it all and nothing could surprise him. The style is unique to me, especially with the style of beats it’s over. This album could grow to be a classic, it’s his best yet for me
his efforts on this mirror his mixtape era’s intent- short, bitter, exhausted, and intensely vivid. stolen youth with him and Mac is the perfect example

This album fits so perfectly in Vince’s discography. I needed this.
Vince is definitely rapping different on this one. Usually Vince's rapping is almost anxious like you're in the shit. His flow was relentless but not fast if that makes any sense. It's how I imagine it feels when this is your life and you gotta deal with it every day. This time it's more subdued, personal and reflective. This flow is more "this is how it really is" while the classic flow is more "this is how it really feels"
i love that most of the guys wore blue on this one. + that beat in the background was great!
I've seen Vince four times at this point and he's easily one of the best hip-hop performers out right now. Hits every words in his raps, is clowning on the crowd during lulls in the set. He played Santa Cruz once opening for Earl and was clowning us for making his asthma go off because of how smoky the room was, but I swear he didn't skip a beat at all even with that all going on.

Man I appreciate Vince so much every album he drops is a moment. This one felt good for the soul.
This is one of my favorite albums of recent years. This album just hits the perspective he has on here just paints a picture to me. Its layered but with punch lines that feel blunt. Ive been a fan of Vince Staples and this album I havent stopped listening to. Everytime I find an artist I like I always have that thought that I want to be more and more of their music out there Like I wouldnt mind a project with 20 songs but at the same time this project just felt like it was the perfect pacing and length

I love this album. It does feel different, I haven’t really been a fan of Vince’s last couple projects but this album just sounds so much better. Lyrically he’s always been on point. Definitely one of my fav albums this year so far.

It's a magnificent album as a whole. There are standout tracks you can lift from it, however they're sewn in so well into the fabric of the album.

10:30 i saw vince live for his FM tour, the energy is REAL but its kinda funny cuz as hype as a lot of his songs are, he doesn't move like in a travis scott sort of way, but I wouldn't expect him to do that, either. It was still a great performance, and he's still funny as shit between performances
mans performed the whole show wearing jeans chucks and a hoodie when i saw him with kilo kish in 2017 and i only saw him drink water once the whole show.. rare

I love Vince but sadly I was disappointed with this project. His albums are just too short for me and leaves me wanting more. It sucks because I see so much potential for a masterpiece, and I just don’t think he has one yet. Big Fish Theory is closest for me. He’s a great and creative rapper, and he is amazing live. Maybe I need to listen to this project some more but for now it fell short for me.
