A 40 year old! Lucky man Deni. Even if I sometimes don't like very old whiskies, it's still definitely a special experience to try them (although it does help when they're nice!)
It’ll be a batch no. which will decipher when it was bottled… But I don’t know what there codes mean. Are you trying to work it out for a reason or just curious?
@Deni Kay fair enough, it's really good, however, the finish is a lot shorter than I had hoped. Yours looked more 2nd fill. Was the finish on yours really long?
I would imagine that the cask make up would be very similar. I don’t expect one batch would be 4th fill and another 2nd fill as this is part of core range. With the family casks there are certainly those larger variances in cask
i have had this 40 before..... extremely easy to drink.... lot of flavor.. for the $$$ you cant beat it
Great find my friend. 40 yrs is incredible. I've had 40 yr port but my oldest whiskey was 30 yrs. Cheers my friend.
30 years is still pretty old but certainly worth trying if you come across the Glenfarclas 40 year old at a bar.
Cheers!

Cheers mate! They’ve certainly nailed this one. Glenfarclas barely get it wrong…their wide core range nails it for me
The ghost of John Grant!
tuning in there.
Slainte.
Giving me a helping hand 👍🥃
This had everything....the supernatural.... overdubs....and good whisky!
Exactly! What more could one ask for 😅
Very interesting review.
Thank you mate 👍🥃
Hi. Trying to decipher bottle code on my 40. Please let me know if you understand it. It’s.
L 17 06 19 and the next line 1 07 04 BB (or B8)

@@DeniKay just want to get to know my bottle more. I am hoping it’s a bit older.
What is the bottling date on this bottle? Mine seems very light, quite possible 4th fill casks
Sorry mate bottle long gone so couldn’t tell you. You enjoying it?

The sound volume on this video is shocking! :)
Yep can’t argue that. Seems to be the case on this one
