@@combatreadyhqwhat you need to search is in Turkish "Jandarma Komando Özel Asayiş Komutanlığı". They are like special forces for the gendarme. They are a special military branch that works under the ministry of interior and their training and experience is on par with army/navy special forces. These are the guy you bring to end the issue whatever it's. So, even though they are classified as a police life force they are more like special forces who can do anything and everything the mission requires.
Turkish Special Forces Underwater Commandos Special Forces Maroon Berets Ge Gendarmerie Special Forces are a special army members who came first in the world special forces competition and sniper competition.🇹🇷🦅🇹🇷👍
What we see are older weapons (old video). Turkey produces their own hand weapons and other things. I think in general all special units are similar but Turkish soldiers have a lot of war experience. And that make them more effective than many other military personnel
Hi Craig, lovely video, mate. The Jandarma is definitely part of the military unit, specifically specialising in rescue operations for the Turkish army. During peace time however, they do respond to domestic security issues and rescue operations. Thanks for the video and wish you all the best.
JÖAK : Jandarma Özel Asayiş Komutanlığı: Special Gendarmerie Order Command. What you are referring to in your comments is JÖH: Jandarma Özel Harekat (Gendarmerie Special Forces) highly skilled soldiers. But JÖAK gets the same training. There are also PÖH (Polis Özel Harekat) = Police Special Operations) and JAK and PAK (Jandarma and Polis Arama Kurtarma) = Gendarmerie and Police Special Search and Rescue Operations. They are all under Ministry of Interior. BUT On TOP of all is “Bordo Bereliler” Maroon Berets (Army Special Forces) which is part of the Army. They are the best, chosen from army special command forces (Blue Berets) one to hundred or less.
Great video. Gendarmerie is the umbrella name for the paramilitary force in Turkiye. They have a variety of specialized units for specific operational needs. JÖAK, that shows up on the video is one of them. JÖAK specializes in counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, high-risk operations. There is also a unit called, JÖH. They specialize in counter-insurgency and operations in rural or mountainous regions. They are comparable to military light infantry or special operations forces. The are also other units called, Commandos, Traffic and Public Order Units, Smuggling and Organized Crime Units, Forensic Units, Marine and Aviation Units and Canine Units. Elite units like JÖAK and JÖH are comparable to SWAT teams, Army Rangers, or Special Forces depending on their operational focus. With its specialized units like JÖAK and JÖH, they are a hybrid force with civilian and military roles, making it a unique organization. It bridges the gap between military and police functions, operating as rural law enforcement in peacetime and a combat-ready force in times of conflict.
Hello my friend JÖAK (Gendarmerie Special Public Security Command) with the blue beret. The weapons they use are made by a Turkish manufacturer SARSILMAZ, there you can see the weapons they use. The world's best special forces unit also comes from Turkey. They are the Bordo Bereli. They are unbeaten worldwide. And in first place. At the terrorist hideouts it says: if you see them, leave everything behind and try to escape. Because death is there, you will end up as a corpse. That is written on the walls at the terrorist hideouts. Bordo Bereli (Angel of Death) burgundy berets......Nice Stream
I did my compulsory military service as a gendarme commando (legendary blue berets). I was toting an MP-5 and I adored that machine pistol. Gendarmerie commando brigades are conducting most of the internal security operations in the southeast against terrorists. Gendarmerie units are acting as rural police in most parts of the country while acting as soldiers in the southeast.
As a former member, Jöak is not a police-typed unit. Gendarmarie(fr.) - military law enforcement command- in turkey, not only in homesoil, but also operates abroad. It was under the TAF, became another Law Enforcement unit under the command of the Internal Affairs/Homeland Secretary. It divides into 2 Branches,; SOF(Joper) & Rescue (Jak). The video includes both. Closest unit in the world French- GIGN, similar as German- GSG-9.
In Türkiye the police oversee security in cities, the gendarmerie is responsible for rural areas, and the military defends against external threats, although these roles can overlap. The Gendarmerie in Türkiye is somewhat comparable to the National Guard in the United States, as it combines law enforcement and military functions. The Gendarmerie Special Public Security Command (JÖAK) is an independent elite unit within the Turkish Gendarmerie, specialising in high-risk operations such as hostage rescue and disaster response. The Gendarmerie Special Operations (JÖH) focuses on counter-terrorism, primarily in rural and mountainous regions. Pretty much all special units go both domestic and abroad regardless if they're police, gendarmerie, or military.
I would say they are more like provincial police special forces. Their operation area is more in rural areas. Your army can operate outside of country and your Police force can operate in municipalities and these units fills in the areas in between. Due to terror issue in the south east areas, we have this special forces. Their equipment now changed a lot and more domestic made weapons and equipments like MPT series. They also operated in Syria side by side with Maroon berets and Police special forces because of the need. Best special unit is SAT and they are best of best.
They are extremely skillfull from the equipment theu use and can operate in many different environment which makes them unique, to be a candidate toy are not chosen you have to want to be in the force beciuse of the intense ttaining routine they go through Have to respect them guys because once you are in that unit you have tis mind set of honour for death .
Turkish Gendarmerie (Jandarma) used to be a part of the Turkish army. However since 2016 they are directly connected to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. But the trainings they receive is more army like trainings in army camps and their uniforms still look like the army. They act as the public security guards just like the police, but outside of the police area. The police are simply active in areas like cities and towns which have their own municipality and the population is above 5.000 people. So imagine all the small villages which are less populated than 5k people and also all the areas and ways between populated towns are territory of the Jandarma. They also conduct traffic stops etc. Apart from the Jandarma, the police has their special forces too which is called PÖH = Polis Özel Harekat. And the army has some special units too like Bordo bereliler = Maroon Beretts. The marine has their own specialised forces too which are called SAT = Su Altı Taarruz = Underwater Attack and SAS = Su Altı Savunma = Underwater Defence.
They are part of the law enforcement but they are military. MP5-K is almost the standard issue machine pistol for the Turkish security apparatus. H&K weapons are quite common because they are licenced to Turkey so there are domestically produced. For assault rifles and precision rifles Turkey also has their own designed ordnance. These are mainly Colt-Browning line rifles. There are many negative stuff going on with Turkey nowadays but even in our worst, our security apparatus is fast and efficient.
JÖAK means "Gendarmerie Special Forces". The gendarmerie unit originally born as a part of the Turkish army. So they were soldiers several years ago. But their structure changed a few years ago. They are now law enforcement units like police but mainly their responsibility area is rural and remote areas. Their command is now reporting to the ministry of interior but not army.
JOAK or Jandarma Ozel Asayis Komutanligi is the Gendarmarie Special Security Command, its a comprehensive multi situational domestic special security force designed to fully engage in all forms of security, assault, search and rescue within Turkish borders. Their secondary purpose is to augment the military.
Jöak is primarily the umbrella organization of the special units of the gendarmerie. Jak is the gendarmerie search and rescue unit. This unit often rescues stranded people. Earthquakes and landslides are among these. Jöh you can see him as part of the rural special force personnel. Jöak is a residential area and hostage rescue missions. The video is old and these weapons are not used much anymore. The inventory is as follows: mpt-76, mpt-55, kcr556, sar109 t and canik or sar9 pistols. They have all kinds of helicopters. They also have large and small drones.
Turkish Gendarmerie = Light Armee style. (Soldiers used inside of Türkiye) Turkish Military = Military guys. (Usually Soldiers) Turkish Bordo bereli = Special Military Forces (the most badass soldiers)* *I would love to see your reaction to these guys, they are like the Turkish Green Berets
Gendarmerie are not a police force but actually a branch of the military. Every province has a gendarmerie command which is subordinated to the province governer for internal security in rural areas during peacetime and switches to the military as territorial defense in times of war.
no they are not they are a different police force. local police (of the local authority )dont work in villages and rural areas. the borders are protected by trained soldiers and commandos not jandarme
Türkiye is building weapons by their own. So if you couldn't figure out what weapons they use (I am not a specialist), it's probably because they are latest Turkish technique.^^
JÖAK: It was established to stop, delay or prevent the fire and progress of illegal elements in the target area, to neutralize illegal elements within the determined priorities, and to detect and neutralize attackers without harming the civilian population.
Turkish Gendarmerie is a part of Turkish Army. As clearly see fron the video , they are soldiers ..I dont know why it is that hard to explain or tell ..
This Unit can be compared to G.I.G.N from France. It is not a Police Unit. Gendarmeries (Jandarma) was a branch in Turkish Army just like the Marine Corps in the U.S Military. They conduct and join operations outside of Turkey as well. The confusion you have probably stems from the fact that Government decided to separate this force from the military and connect it to the Ministry of Internal Affairs like the Police Force is while the ranks of this force is made up of military officers and everything is still military. This created a bizarre dynamic and created so many problems and still causing problems. Why did Erdogan’s government wanted to so this. That is another huge topic that will take at least 1 hour video to tell the story.
Hi brother I was born in Turkeye I'm in London now..... jandarma... is Military.. know as.. Jandarma they call it in Turkey is military which is responsible for security of the rural areas where police is typically in charge of protecting towns and cities.
Police is responsible for the cities. Gendarmerie (JANDARMA) is a military police unit responsible for the all locations out of cities. This is is how it works in Turkey.
Jandarma is the Police of the suburban areas. So they are lets say military but doing police job if makes sense. They won't go to war with the rest of the Army basically.

JÖAK means Special Gendarmerie Search & Rescue, but they are also heavily trained anti-terror operations for various situations. They need to cover, air, sea, urban and all rural areas as the nature of Gendarmerie definition where as out of police and army's authority...
Mainly Jandarma units are for the public security , But we have a teror problems comming from syria and Iraq so some of the units going to the beyond the border operations against terorists. The Geograpy is mainly covered by high mountains. If we talk about the city centers , high population cities you can not see the Jandarma there , we have special police forces like SWAT. But when out of border operations , very low populated areas like small villages , there you can see different kind of Jandarma units .
Turkish all terain JANDARMA unit to tackle search and rescue as well as terror response unit. They all use Turkish made gear which is becoming wide spread in Pakistan as well as Azerbaijan. They are part of the army but they serve special forces and mainly with in the borders and on the borders.

I think comments here do a good job of explaining gendermarie's responsibilities however one thing I can add is the real reason why this force was established in the first place and that is to protect and enforce the Constitution, especially in regions where is mostly mountainous and near international borders. Border regions we share with Iraq, Syria Iran etc are prone to be more problematic and regular police are not always equipped enough to enforce the law.
The gendarmerie was established in the last days of the Ottoman Empire with modernization efforts. The word is taken from French. Until recently, the gendarmerie was a force under the Turkish General Staff. They were attached to the Ministry of Internal Affairs due to the allergy of Tayyibin soldiers. All of its personnel are soldiers. Its officers are trained in the military academy and are divided into the gendarmerie class. Just like tankers, artillery, infantry... Gendarmes are heavily armed soldiers who do the work of the police in the countryside but are not police.
My UK brothers and sisters What makes Turkish Soldiers so special is.. Nit the equipment they got!!! Its what they believe The Turkish army don’t join the army unless they want to martyr and devote themselves to to God and earn the Heaven Yiu better believe what I say Thats the philosophy
Please make a video of (ÖKK) Maroon Berets of Turkish Army special forces. They won almost all NATO nations competition championships for special forces. They are best of the best ! There are many videos on that in İnternet.
It's the military police. They out rank police and army. But not special forces. They mainly police the army. And if you need people to square up to the army they need to be well trained. Jandarma
They are basically just rural police force. They used to be under the army but after the 2015 coup attempt the AKP regime put them under the control of the interior ministry as a counter to the army just in case. Jack of all trades but master of none kinda organization really.

Our police system is divided into 3 parts. 1)GENDARMERIE 2)POLICE 3)COAST GUARD. The gendarmerie unit is the rural section of the police system. and only the gendarmerie is divided into 3 different special units. 1) JÖAK (gendarmerie special operations), 2) JAK (gendarmerie search and rescue), 3) SAK (gendarmerie underwater search and rescue). Know that there are similar special units in the Police and Coast Guard units. In summary, there are 9 different special units in 3 different units that we can only call police. Let me tell you the really important part; None of these units are in the army. The Turkish army (TURKISH ARMED FORCES) is divided into 3 groups: 1) LAND ARMY, 2) AIR ARMY, 3) SEA ARMY. Within each of these armies, there are special units that I cannot list right now, each serving in different areas. If we add up these numbers, Turkish special forces are divided into 25/30 different units. And you, TH-camr, only watched and commented on 2 special units of the Gendarmerie. I would also recommend you to examine our special units such as SAT (underwater attack), SAS (underwater defense), MAK (combat search and rescue), JÖH (gendarmerie special operations) and PÖH (police special operations). Turkey has only 1 million soldiers. You imagine the diversity

Ok that’s good for them, I couldn’t find any other videos to react too
@@combatreadyhqwhat you need to search is in Turkish "Jandarma Komando Özel Asayiş Komutanlığı".
@@combatreadyhqthere is LOT to react bro 😂hyper sonic missile , ai jets ❤new sniper new rifle kill m4 😂❤
Thanks mate and thanks for the comment and information. It’s been great watching and learning more about the
JÖAK : Jandarma Özel Asayiş Komutanlığı: Special Gendarmerie Order Command.
BUT
On TOP of all is “Bordo Bereliler” Maroon Berets (Army Special Forces) which is part of the Army.
ONE'S UPON A TIME I SERVED WITH HONOUR.. EXCELLENT HEROIC UNIT OF TURKIYE GENDARMARIE
Hello my friend
JÖAK (Gendarmerie Special Public Security Command) with the blue beret. The weapons they use are made by a Turkish manufacturer
SARSILMAZ, there you can see the weapons they use.
Turkish Landforces is 2234 (twothousandtwohundredthirtyfour!!!) years old, established in 209 BC. ❤️🇹🇷❤️
They are extremely skillfull from the equipment theu use and can operate in many different environment which makes them unique, to be a candidate toy are not chosen you have to want to be in the force beciuse of the intense ttaining routine they go through
Have to respect them guys because once you are in that unit you have tis mind set of honour for death .
Nice video mate. Greetings from Türkiye :)
There are many negative stuff going on with Turkey nowadays but even in our worst, our security apparatus is fast and efficient.
thanks for the informative video..
You can see this unit as rural special operations police. They are not special forces units.
Brilliant Craig 👍👍👍
Turkish Gendarmerie = Light Armee style. (Soldiers used inside of Türkiye)
Turkish Military = Military guys. (Usually Soldiers)
Turkish Bordo bereli = Special Military Forces (the most badass soldiers)*
*I would love to see your reaction to these guys, they are like the Turkish Green Berets
JÖAK:
It was established to stop, delay or prevent the fire and progress of illegal elements in the target area, to neutralize illegal elements within the determined priorities, and to detect and neutralize attackers without harming the civilian population.
This is Gendarmerie Special Tactical Unit not Police
They are part of Turkish military. Though we have 4-5 different special army units. These units are called JÖH.
Mick amca should watch this, he would like it for sure.
Jandarma are the state police and you will find them in many cities like Adana, Izmir, etc.
Hi brother I was born in Turkeye I'm in London now..... jandarma... is Military.. know as.. JÖH have everything all Weapons they are Like National Guard..... with different branches..... they have entered in Syria Iraq before.. JÖH is with EXRA Training . Like I said it has different branches with in JANDARMA.. they keep the security with in ..... All so there's.... PÖH ..... POLICE Special forces. BUT They just POLICE with extra Training not a military..... NOT TO FORGET THE DIFFERENT BRANCHES IN Special forces like... SAS... SAT... Maroon brace.... Turkeye is making its Domestic weapons 75% Percent. let me know if I Explain clearly....thanks
Jandarma they call it in Turkey is military which is responsible for security of the rural areas where police is typically in charge of protecting towns and cities.
one tiny suggestion you might wanna turn down the volume of the background music
Yes they are Army but Bordo bereliler special forces and yes HK 33 they use. When I left the army back in 2001 changed to HK33 from G3.
Türkiye has own infantry rifle MPT-55 (milli piyade tüfegi) own APC and amfibien vehicles.the MPT-76 passed 42 Nato standards.
Police is responsible for the cities. Gendarmerie (JANDARMA) is a military police unit responsible for the all locations out of cities. This is is how it works in Turkey.
They are army members which trained for police tasks. They have also SAR units as well.
Jandarma is the Police of the suburban areas. So they are lets say military but doing police job if makes sense. They won't go to war with the rest of the Army basically.
kardeşler bizimkiler iyide mesela SAT ların ayrı bölümleri varmı ? seal 6 gibi rehine kurtarma ,anti terör vs gibi , seal 3 gibi dağ operasyonu. terör vs bölümleri varmı ?adamlar iklim . bölge koşullları ihtiyaca göre timlerini uzmanlaştırmışlar 9 ayrı çeşit SEAL timi var mesela Veya Güney Kore SAT ları gibi iyi whing chun biliyorlarmı ? Hep gaz hep gaz olmaz herkes kendini geliştiriyor
The helmets are specially designed to these forces , they are trained for weather and geographical conditions. JöH is their unit...they are very high skilled
JÖAK means Special Gendarmerie Search & Rescue, but they are also heavily trained anti-terror operations for various situations. They need to cover, air, sea, urban and all rural areas as the nature of Gendarmerie definition where as out of police and army's authority...
JÖAK’ın açılımı Jandarma Özel Asayiş Komutanlığı, sizin bahsettiğiniz JAK.
@akifabc4666 neyse asıl vazifeleri, suyunu toprağını tarlasını koruyan köylüleri dövmek, hakkını savunan işçiyi pataklamak, yerlerde sürümek, kollarını, bacaklarını kırmak, yağmacıları, hırsızları, velhasıl soyguncu takımı korumak ve kollamak... Yazmayı unutmuşum...
There are many differences that are clearly visible.
The big difference is that there is no waiting list 😂😂😂
The gun called MPT-76
|Military police, I was one back in 80's.
They are military force. We have separate police special forces and marine special forces etc…. But gendarmerie belong to military.
They are military police responsible for the rural areas. They are an alternative police, internal security unit.
içişleri bakanlığına bağlı kamu güvenliği teşkilatı, hizmet alanları çok geniş, arama kurtarma, terörle mücadele, ülke içi özel operasyonlar, rehine alma durumları
this is an old video clip you should watch recent clips of them.
Türkiye Jandarmasının en güzide ve eğitimli birliğidir.
The MP’s are MPT 55 or 75
76 last made weapon the 55 is for infantry it does not have the weapon mount.
No they are MP’s military police
MP 😂 no MP belong to the army deals with army internal issues
@ they came looking for me when I overstated and I only had 3 months exemption from army in any given year
Why playing music in the background while watching a video clip?
To prevent copyright issues obviously.
They are pretty good, well experienced in real life ,fighting against Terrorists.
you should see PÖH, SAS and Maroon Beretts too :)
each Taskforce has own area. water land and special operations.Police is made of Police force and Jandarme Army is not mixed with police. police are under the Chief of Police.army is under the command of the Minister of Defence(ussually ex-chief general of Armed forces.2nd in command is chief general of Armed forces they do not interfere with police or jandarme unless are called for due to terrorist attacks.mainland is under police control they have many divisions like SWAT teams,Tactical police PÖH ,çevik kuvvet=riot police.local police zabita(vice) and even bekci(peace keepers) who also carry firearms.big country with alot of police
UKSF or SAS is Türkiye’s ÖKK(Turkis Special armed Forces
Well years ago jandarma was police force in more rural Türkiye where there was no police force. Seems like they are expended
❤TÜRKIYE❤
basicly jandarma military police look inside country problems usually police have similar one pöh
Jandarma is more flexible than army and stronger than police. More loose as a leash. Strong enough to fight smart enough to police.
My UK brothers and sisters
What makes Turkish Soldiers so special is..
Nit the equipment they got!!! Its what they believe
The Turkish army don’t join the army unless they want to martyr and devote themselves to to God and earn the Heaven
Yiu better believe what I say
Thats the philosophy
Please make a video of (ÖKK) Maroon Berets of Turkish Army special forces. They won almost all NATO nations competition championships for special forces. They are best of the best ! There are many videos on that in İnternet.
They are like the state troopers swats in the states.
strictly speaking it is a military unit
Ok thank you
It's the military police. They out rank police and army. But not special forces. They mainly police the army. And if you need people to square up to the army they need to be well trained. Jandarma
Nice ❤
I like your videos
Thank you
They are basically just rural police force. They used to be under the army but after the 2015 coup attempt the AKP regime put them under the control of the interior ministry as a counter to the army just in case. Jack of all trades but master of none kinda organization really.
5 years l9ng Turkiye wons the tournament at the UN army leageau.after 5 years america losing they dont do it anymore.turkey is very proffessionale in war.because they do it for 40 years non stop.
Hello. The answer to your question is: They are students of the police special operations unit. Their location is their school.
Ok thank you 🤙
Our police system is divided into 3 parts.
