@@mystic5175 not only maps, but also weekly updates, fun splatfests and many kits. I do like the season thing splatoon 3 has, but I prefer the weekly updates because they actually give new content every week instead of having to wait for 3 months for new stuff to pop out

@@platy4700Yeah but tbh its 2’s fault for starting that trend by reducing inkable walls and flanks, i mean inkable walls havent been a problem ever since the Ninja Squid wall-nerf (it used to be stealthy on walls in S1 too btw), and they couldve just kept pipes on top of the walls instead of making them uninkable but alright ig.

@@Strykids_.luvr. Imo Off The Hook are the best idols with their great chemistry and the Octo Expansion is the greatest Nintendo DLC until Side Order.
@@keynanmartinez I honestly prefer Deep cut’s vibes (I wish they get more screen time in the DLCs) but that’s just my opinion
Giving wahoo world cannons and rails would actually make it a lot more fun to play on IMO. It would be more like baby park, just sheer chaos
I think we'd all rather have Wahoo being a dumb chaos unviable stage than a “lol you can't go into mid for another 30 seconds” unviable stage
@@sonicrunn3r895 Sadly the (new?) map design team love that philosphy so they keep churning out S-tetris maps where snipers decide you can't go to mid for another 180 seconds.

I prefered the maps of the first game, still has the best music, and gameplay. The people who never played with the Wii U pad don't know what elevated gameplay they are missing. Also the single player levels we're and still are my absolute fav. I really wish Nintendo would bring back the weirdness, funky songs and fun little details. Hopefully in Splatoon 4, with also hopefully a streaming pad for the full experience.
The intro hit hard. Transitioning from SBlast to no SBlast because of the Blaster jump RNG really feel different.
And then the jump RNG just gave Chara one direct hit and he then goes, "Oh that one worked..." I'm actually laughing for that one.
I like how I was confused as to how did someone survive the baller explosion with a squid roll despite getting hit, I just totally forgot that armor was in the game
Back when Brella had (surprisingly) less issues and was somewhat usable
people keep saying this and its like, not the final update of splatoon 2 fr
The only things really holding 3 back now is map design and update schedules. The maps are awful, which we already know. The updates dont come nearly as often enough to actually fix things, and it also means we get less kits and maps. Its almost a year into the game and there are still way too many weapons with no second kit yet (Still hoping for my beloved E-Liter Beacon/Inkstorm)

Why won't the devs just copy the shifty stations to splat 3? That is one of the biggest reasons people come back to splat 2 and I would too but they are in private battles only 💀

Ok I might sound a little crazy here but hear me out. Even though Splatoon 2 has it's really annoying flaws, I still find myself missing the game. It just has a different kind of charm that Splatoon 3 is really lacking despite having amzing QoL features and stuff. Maybe it's nostalgia or whatever, but something just seems... off. Also, I have to say that Shifty Stations were a way better splatfest gimick than tri-color, imo.

This is insignificant but i much prefer the lack of bullet splash when they hit the ground in 2. Its way too much and distracting in 3.

Honestly the Character Designs, Music, and Aesthetics is whay made me love this game plus the gameplay is Uniquely Original and Fun.
The only things that Splatoon 2 does better than Splatoon 3:
1. Online
2. Matchmaking sometimes
3. The stages.

@@toxictoast9947Splatoon 2 does NOT have more kit diversity you *have* to be ignorant if you really think that… Splatoon 2 has worse kit diversity than even the first game… Splatoon 3 has way more unique weapons with really synergetic kits.
You know what's crazy? I literally just went back to playing some Splatoon 2 yesterday for the first time in like 2 years.
Edit: I was not aware of Splatoon 2's anniversary, I just felt like I wanted to play it.

I agree tbh splat 2 has alot more charm to it. I like the music in 2 more than 3 aswell and a real hot take but i like the specials in 2 more than 3. Only ray and missiles i had issues with. Not even armor and i played blasters every now and then

S2 may have worse quality with visuals but the older a game is the more personality it has
S3 low key looks like a massive hunk of plastic
And S2’s slower pacing made it more enjoyable to play long term

Pretty sure they became available after all the splatfests were over. If they follow the same formula, I expect the same to happen in 3.

Ah, Splatoon 2! I never played it, but the singular thing I'm jealous of are the maps. Not having Splatanas, Stringers, rolls and surges, and ESPECIALLY not having good special design are all huge downsides.
Also Brellas function in that game too more than 10% of the time and bomb physics don't feel like they weigh 200 tons so that's cool I guess
the reason i wanted to get a switch and get splatoon 2 for so long was how big and whacky the maps where, and the updates ( even if they didnt happen much ) looked so cool and so well thought of, with brand themed gear, and ALOT of it
and i genuenly thought splatoon 3 would be more of that but i guess not, i guess its just gonna be 1 or 2 splatoon 2 maps every 3 months and barely any new gear ( weapons are not my priority by the way lol but if were talking about that, WE NEED MORE STRINGERS AND BRELLAS OH MY GOD )

Ironically I did the same thing today and the fast pace nature along with the infinitely better aim improvement along with the special spread balance(how well they get divided up on weapons) make 3 so much better than 2. Amongst many another small quality of life improvements.

I think I prefer the lighting from 2, it's less readable than 3 but more beautiful. Makes me wish for some sort of toggle

I still remember when Splatoon 2 was new and I tried to say that Starfish mainstage zones was a great map to use V Jet Squelcher on and not being believed. But also, Bunker Games is a very nostalgic map to me as I really liked it back during the 1st egg fest also that color combo that you guys had on it looked really nice.

I feel like there's an unlisted change with blasters in S3 where they follow enemies in the reticle a lot more often. Jumping and shooting feels like way less of a crapshoot in S3 even without a lot of intensify action equipped

One thing I noticed is that the Splatoon Inkling/Octoling always has a blank expression on their face. Meanwhile in splatoon 3, the character is always smiling.
Thank god i am not playing Splatoon 2 because i am retired from Splatoon 2. I was over with Splatoon 2 last year. Splatoon 3 is WAY better(imo).

I hope you go back to splatoon 1 eventually too. Even though official servers are down, you can use pretendo on a softmodded wii u with aroma (not that difficult and doesn't even take that long), which is a fan server that works great
