I like this video, but there were a couple things that confused me - why didnt you remove the rust from everything first? It looked like a lot of dirt/rust residue got on your threading tool? And why nickel plate some parts but blue others? And also, I dont think we saw the saw itself get restored?

Another job well done! I've always wondered- I notice in many restorer's projects if they have to paint something it's usually only black or red, with less common orange or even less often green. I've seen blue maybe once or twice. Is there a reason more fun colours like purple isn't used? Like is it a harder paint/coating colour to find or is it just that red and black common colour choices/default?
That's a really good question! The items were probably always in those "standard" colors at the time they came from. I'll start a poll there to see if that engages multiple viewers. Thanks for the tip!🐢
