My main problems with it were the load times and that some levels were somewhat difficult. My family had difficulty with it where as they had a lot less issues with Crash Bandicoot 1, 2 and 3. I agree with it being too similar to Warped.
The game is kind of a bore to play through. The levels are underwhelming and even Crash himself moves pretty slowly compared to the previous games. I mean just as one example, look at the mask invincibility in Warped, then in Wrath of Cortex. Look at the game over screen. Look at just about everything. It also tried a little hard to be the "edgy" Crash game with Crunch. Though I don't know if it's any worse than the more comedic approach in the later games which...just seemed awkward and weird.
