    You did the iphone on auto mode and Samsung in pro mode. Why even make a "vs" video if you don't use all in the same setting? 🤔

      1st iPhone doesn't have pro mode 2nd I also tried the special night auto mode on the s22 ultra it is the same thing images are not better

      Iphone is crap compared to the samsung s22 ultra images. Or do they have 108 MP and a real 10 times zoom? Even the software for photo performance is much better. Iphone is years behind. But both are not comparable to a real camera because of sensor size. They do a good job for hobby and instagram. But if you want to take serious images sony wins in all cases (fastest and exact autofocus, full frame vs. a small chip etc.).

    Not a fair comparison. Could do better

    Phones are noisier when you zoom in but for posting small images to Instagram, it doesn't matter much.
    For large prints, camera photos are way better...

    Thank you for this quick comparison. I have the S22 Ultra- snapdragon as well and I confirm your observation. The shots are noisy, I recommend you turn off the Auto hdr mode in the settings, it makes the day shots a little better, not sure about night shots though 😉

    Samsung expert raw - you will get 16 bit raw photos - ideea for new video

      Just tested yesterday, doesn’t work at night, it is still very noisy

    • @miesto_paukstis
      @miesto_paukstis 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FreeGafo Yeah, 16bit raw from phone - crappy marketing. 14 bit on professional camera is way too much for regular user, wont spot a difference.
      So big numbers - but they are "empty" on phones.
      My thoughs of night shots - its just tells, that Samsung uses 0.8micron pixel size, then Apple does have what - ~1.9 microns? Even 8micron binned to 2microns, does not match the real pixel information. So whats why it falls apart in low light. Only can be better/more detailed in good light, but there is luminance and there is chroma - and in chroma its definately loss on quad bayer sensors..

    • @FreeGafo
      @FreeGafo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@miesto_paukstis finally figured it out. So iphone nightmode is doing computational photography. Samsung has the same and the images are even better but Samsung can’t record RAW in night mode. Samsung camera is so confusing, one million opinions

    • @miesto_paukstis
      @miesto_paukstis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FreeGafo yeah, iphones even RAW is overprocessed. I mean RAW made from stacking buch of photos. Samsungs way is one photo (except that RAW 16bit, which is interpolated to make "reference" to real 16bit. The samsungs imaging sensor is capable up to 10bit of native deph.
      Similar way is of google camera app on pixels or app mod for other snapdragon devices, which can spit out RAW image, but this is stacked image, so it comes oveprocessed and looks clean.
      RAW images are not clean entirely, even on FF cameras. Even if it looks super clear, check the NR and smoothening, as for many it turns out that every camera has some "presets" metadata next to RAW image, which instanly applies some minor corrections then put in application, for example, Lightroom.
