Who else found this video strangely satisfying to watch? I love freshly de-acryliced nails, but only for a minute then I have to get them back on LoL. 💛🌻
Where were you when I got my nails done the place I went to (the only place I can go) butchered my nails by popping the acrylic off and then buffing them to put new on and it got so bad I had to quit getting my nails done because they did such damage to my natural nails. You're amazing!!!
Honestly, I have this nail clipper for dogs that was like 50$, but it works like a dream! Cuts them without cracking the nail in half and it’s easy to cut with not much force at all :) I found it at this mom and pop pet store
I used to go to a nail salon where they would literally force some "nippers" between the acrylic and nail plate and start to clip it till it was forced up. It hurt like nothing else and ruined my nail plate for some time. One of my natural nails even fell off thanks to the damage and I never went back to that salon again. If I do acrylic now, I do it myself thanks to these wonderful tutorials.
I can't tolerate not having nails on anymore. The rare few times that I have soaked off my nail extensions, my nail beds feels very cold sensitive and bare. I can't stand the feeling. I think I will have nails on for life 😋 Thanks for the video! You're natural nails are beautiful and healthy underneath.
To help with removal put either Vaseline or a lotion with a petroleum base on your nail, especially under any lifted parts. It will help stop the acrylic from solidifying when the acetone dries. It helps keep your fingers and nails from getting too dry, and helps the acrylic lift off. Also when you put the acetone back on your nails put more oil.
Not s good idea if they plan to use gels. Also I think having too much oils on your nails will make it harder to dehydrate the nails before applying the acrylic
I agree that you don't want to add extra oil on your nails if using gels, which is what I do. But it's worth a try to me because I would rather try anything that makes removing acrylic easier. I'd rather wipe my nails with extra alcohol to remove the oil because it's so much easier to do. I appreciate all new ideas.
That was an amazing job of how taking off acrylic and everything else off by using acetone to remove everything the right way, some nail salon always using fake nail to remove the acrylic and it use to hurt my nails and I'm very sensitive to my nails. I'm learning doing my own nails. This was very helpful.
I have just started my nail journey and I have to say I am so impressed with your in depth teaching skills and informing women what should actually be done to protect you and your health. I've seen sooo many videos of nail tutorials but none of them matched up to your unique skill set . Thank you kirsty for this video I'm now able to remove my nails PROPERLY from now on seeing this video. Although it might be super hard considering I dont have an E file yet I am investing myself in getting a good brand new one to do this!
I feel the same after taking my nails off! My acrylics are super long and I always get asked how I do things with them so long, for me it's the part when they're off that I can't do anything even texting is super hard lmao!
My favorite nail is my left thumb, cause there's a large nail to design on. (I'm right handed) I'm getting so many compliments on my nails! Thank you so much for all your advice in your many vids 😘 I never dreamed I would be doing them myself. I am loving it!!!
This really helped me. I'm learning to do my own nails. I love watching you. Your just amazing at nails. Plus you have such a beautiful personality. And your so pretty to. Love your hand tattoo. I'm having one done on Monday in tribute to my mum who passed 2 weeks ago on Monday. My heart is so broken. Your are the only video I can concentrate on and distract my mind. Great work. Please keep up your amazing videos. Loads of love. Tina. Xx
Cinna Manani nah I could too your brain remembers thing through smells you can't really smell it but it's a placebo thing or more like psychosomatic I hate that smell but I kinda like it a little bit
Omg I never knew you could remove acrylic this way, I was always told it wouldn't work. It only works with gel polish or soak off gel. Definitely doing it like this rather than soaking in a bowl. 👌
last week I went to a local nail salon where I live here in the US and the nail tech actually used the back of another nail to pop off the acrylic and it hurt because I actually felt my natural nail lifting up so from now on I'm doing them on my own.... btw I love your videos and first started to watch them on facebook and found ya on here..... thanks for the helpful tips.
Thank you for sharing this!!! I have been watching and learning as much as possible to do my own nails and was very worried about how to remove them when the time comes.....I have a farm and it's hard to work in the hay field or deliver baby animals (calves, lambs, etc.) with long nails....and you have succeeded in removing my fears!! You are more than awesome!! Thanks again!!
I know this comment is really late but I just have to say wow even a video like this that I think oh I know how to do that! You still teach me something new! I have learned so much more from your videos than I did at college thank you so much for you great teaching.
I’m glad you said this, the last time I got my acrylics, the people taking it off were so rough and my real nail split off really low so I was in pain for weeks. But then again I think they were really rough in applying them as well, if only I could get my acrylics done properly 😭
ive only had to have an acrylic nail removed 2 times at a nail salon and they both used tips to take them off so thats how i do it at home because that how i thought it was done. Im glad ive found a better way!!! Because i have really thin nails naturally!
Thaaaaank you!! I had one of those cuticle remover tools and it worked! This quarantine had my nails looking horrid but thanks to your video, I safely removed my nails🙌🏽💖😍
I don't know if you'll ever see this comment, but I have to tell you about my own accident at home. I loved your story about cutting your finger peeling a sweet potato and yelling "I have to go, Dina, because I"m blEEEding!!!" Hubby and I were playing with sparklers on the patio one holiday and he went inside for a minute. A sparkler burned my finger and I tore into the house yelling, "First aid!! First aid!!" at the top of my lungs. It was hilarious and we joke about it to this day. Love your channel even though I don't wear nail extensions. You are talented and funny and creative and you make me laugh!! Thank you for that! Tell Fay that I go "OMG!" every time I see her nails. XOXO
I had a nail tech who went for the nail tip to shove it between the acrylic and natural nail. She only did it once. Believe me when I say that you could've heard a pin drop in that salon. Everyone stopped talking and ALL e-files stopped as I bellowed "NO NO NO don't ever do that. That is what you shouldn't do as you are removing natural as well as the acrylic. Practices like that is what damages the natural nail and not the actual acrylic like most seem to think so let's soak them off with acetone!" She's never done it again to another client!
The place I went to last about 2 months ago, they cut off the length, and took the clipper and put it in between the acrylic and natural nail, and ripped the acrylic off. For each. individual. nail. And when I yanked away and let little groan of pain out they just yanked my hand back. So I was afraid to say anything 😩😩 it hurt so bad and destroyed my nails
I'm a nail tech and the worst client if I ever go to a salon. I always bring my own acrylic and monomer as well because I'm afraid of MMA acrylic 😂 I have 3 small children so doing my own isn't always an option and it's my time away.
Skyanne 😳 I bet that was excruciatingly painful! Sorry you had such a terrible and painful experience. Having your nails done should never hurt,in fact it's meant to be a pleasure! Find a good home/mobile tech, your next experience will hopefully be a pleasurable one x
I LOVE your videos and they have made me seriously consider my nail technicians and their varying skill set. THANK YOU!!!! I LOVE long nails and I love your nail artistry. I'm across the pond in the USA and I want so badly to come to your nail salon. I show my nail tech some of your designs and the face she makes is just like the ones you make with fussy Fae! :) Never stop your videos they are a fantastic fun way to see how skills are done correctly! *hugs* -Merideth from Maryland, USA
had a salon shove a tip under to try and get the nail off i told them no because it's not good for the nail and to soak it. so they soaked but then started again to pry it off. i'm trying to find somewhere else to get removals.
Wow your nails grow pretty fast within four weeks!!! mines grow half as much within that period of time. I found it cringey to watch seeing how beautiful your nail designs were and having to see them taken off, then again this is pretty instructional! we were never taught how to properly thin out the acrylic material in order to safely remove the acrylic.
Seriously tho I think she did one time. The dip nail stuff didn't look all that different than acrylic, and she put a peel off base coat under it. It popped right off, lol.
Kirsty I have a favourite nail too, its my index finger. Looks better naturally, files better, looks better with extensions, has a better c curve and is slimmer…..everything. I just looks better.
Lol I had glue ons and my nail tech took a nail tip and scraped them off and girl it HURT. I knew she was being unprofessional asf but I was gonna let her realize that I have thin weak ass nails. She ended up ripping my pinky nail off and I just sat there and watched while she panicked
I wish i saw this a couple of days ago. I know how to get them off but silly me, I had a sculpted nail (my first one ever) and I was trying to save time by cutting it back to make removal faster. That was a mistake!! 😳 I cut the side of the nail like you did above your nail but because my free edge was in the acrylic it split into my hyponichium and took a chunk out of it. Luckily only a small one thankfully, it could have been much worse. But I learned my lesson that's for sure 👌😉
Kirsty your natural nails are so pretty and a lovely pink colour. I too have a favourite finger and it is my wedding ring finger the nail always seems to be the prettiest and grow the nicest shape.
The reason I stopped doing acrylics was because 3 nail techs from different salons did exactly what Kirsty said, the removed the nail by going between the acrylic and nail. The nail techs thinned out my natural nail and of course my fingers were in pain for days. It has been 9 years since I did acrylics. Now with these videos I am learning how to do them properly as I want to learn just the basics and be able to do them to friends (not as a profession but to have some fun)
Where I live, every salon removes the nails by ripping them off! I have decided to remove my own before I put on another set. I wont do a fill around here either.
I’ve been to a salon that pushed a nail in the back of the other to pry my nail off and the lady ripped my nail and my natural nail split Down the middle and it started bleeding and was painful I wish I would have taken a picture of it but I forgot and now I refuse to get acrylic nails cause I have no nail salons around here that are like Kirsty
I think you just made me realise I was always destined to be a nail technician!! I've had a favourite nail since I was very little! I thought I was just a weirdo. 😂 unless we're weirdos together haha. It's the same nail by the way! 😂 x
OMG, that looks so painful... 😬That can't be good for the natural nail bed. Especially after years of abuse. Ouch... I can't even watch this process, thank God I can grow my own nails as long as I'd like them. But I have to say I LOVE TO WATCH YOU do nails, you are so talented! I follow a few manicurists but I like you BEST! It amazes me how fast you do them! I just ordered some stuff on Amazon to try and do this on my own (natural nails) but I'm not sure if I should. Can i use gel polish and get off with nail polish remover?? Or do use this method your doing to take off your acrylic nails? You have become my IDOL, MY 👑QUEEN OF NAILS! 💅 Love your accent too!! So envious and in awe of you! 💝
Hello Kristy and Naio Nails team. Love your videos and learn a lot from them. Can anyone tell me which efile you are using in this video and where i can get it. Thanks
My favorite nail is my pointer finger on my non-dominant hand. It grows fast and looks gorgeous 😂 People ask how do I function with such long nails? I can't function without them!
VIDEO SUGGESTION! A vid of all the tips and tricks Kirsty has learned with her experience. Like the sound of the file becoming a higher pitch when the acrylic is hardened again.
Hey Kirsty! Thanks for all these professional tips and videos! I really love to watch them :D do you know if the acetone would work for getting off Polygelnails too? Thank you
I soak mine off before getting a new set(not that often, after x amount of refills), just prefer to DIY as I'm picky about my natural ones. Saves money too, as you're not paying salon for soak off etc and torture hehe.
Sarah Elise I’m the same. So I’m currently growing them out. I managed to cut the tips of my nails down to as short as they could go so now I’m left with fingers that are half natural from the bottom to the middle and acrylic from the middle to the tip. It looks a mess, but I’ve had my natural nails filed so much I dare not go completely naked.
My nails are NEVER this strong after removing acrylics thank you so much for this video worked like a charm for me
Who else found this video strangely satisfying to watch? I love freshly de-acryliced nails, but only for a minute then I have to get them back on LoL. 💛🌻
Michelle Madewell Fred me
saaaame.
I wedged mine off with a knife
And this whole time I’ve been bearing the pain at shops 🙄, never again smh. Thank you so much for your wisdom!
Anyone else watching this after biting them off?😳
We hope you have removed your acrylic in a save way 🤔😘
ashlyn welsh ✋✋✋✋ me hehe
I feel personally attacked lmao XD
ashlyn welsh yeah meeeee i regret it
I’ve popped them off 😭

So sad to see this stunning set go away 😥...

JayTheBirdFlyZ to be fair, you can always learn new things
I never heard of that but definitely will. Interesting

I’ve been ruining my nails because I didn’t know how to take Them off properly. Now I can keep them 😭
Can you do a tutorial on your red nails?
I’m so glad I’m not the only one with a favourite nail! 😂 index nail on my left hand is the perfect shape!
Sarah Rose Me too girl! My fave is left index fingernail.

Hey Kirsty! Thanks for all these professional tips and videos! I really love to watch them :D do you know if the acetone would work for getting off Polygelnails too?
Thank you
Thanks for such an informative tutorial and all your wonderful designs. They have inspired me to do so much more with my nails. :)
Not what I was looking for but watched the whole thing! So satisfying!! Do an ASMR
Lovin' ur nails on the right hand!! Beautiful!!
I have a question!! When you are putting a new set of acrylics on, does it matter how long the natural nail is underneath? ❤️😊
omg.!!.you are awesome and talented a nail artist love all that you do babe..xx
Thanks for this video. And Adam that's definitely more then 4in more like a 2x5
I soak mine off before getting a new set(not that often, after x amount of refills), just prefer to DIY as I'm picky about my natural ones. Saves money too, as you're not paying salon for soak off etc and torture hehe.
Hi, what is your desk covered, what is the black cover, what kind of drill do you work with? Can you give tips for beginner technicians
Hi love the way you explain everything thank you
how often do you take them completely off? Every time? or 3 months? 6 months?
I need to remove my nails, but my nailady buffed them on top so much so im very scared they are going to be too thin and sensitive :(
Sarah Elise I’m the same.
They probably used MMA if they buffed your nail that much.
I just love your videos. You are super talented and hilarious
So satisfying with the fileing drill
Omg your nails are always beautiful
