    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    The undergrip position causes a great deal of pain! The overgrip us awkward at first but it's well worth the switch! Trust Greg on this one for sure!

    It's beautiful to see that Greg walks the walk. His nails are immaculate.😃 I believe that as a future nail technician my nails need to look absolutely beautiful. I will be my own walking promoter always. This is how i have found my nail technicians. By asking where a person got there nails done. In the future I will answer "I did them, need an appointment?" LOL 😃

    I do gel nails. The only time I deal with acrylic is when a new client comes in for a fill. The acrylic is almost always lifting so badly that I have to do a complete removal before I can start the gel application. Thank you for the tips and demonstration.
    I have been thinking about trying a starter kit of acrylic just to better handle people with bitten or ski-slope nails

    So can you apply tips to that thin layer of acrylic left? Or do I have to soak off the rest and then apply tips

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you would need to soak off the rest in order to put a new tip on. If you have gotten it as close to the nail like this video it should take 5-6 mins of soaking and then you can lightly buff it off.

    Can I rebalance with soft gel over acrylic?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Soft gel doesn't have the strength & durability to use as a building or sculpting product, so we recommend filling with acrylic or a hard gel product.

    How long should acrylic removal on one finger take?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would depend on how thick or thin the product is and how fast you have your e-file set to. One nail should be pretty quick.

  • @angelicap.4557
    @angelicap.4557 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    when you say that nail isnow ready for application, you would put a new tip on top of the thinned out acrylic?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you were going to put tips on, you would need to take the acrylic off completely. When you get the product down as low as Greg did in the video, you can soak it it acetone for 5-6 mins and should be able to lightly buff the rest off.

    What is the best way to remove color acrylic? Clients wants to change color and design every time they come for a refill. I made too much effort doing it with an E-file and got swollen and painful hands. Too much effort for me.😔 Now I'm on recovery of my hands until I can return to the nail salon I was working.

    • @youngnailsinc

    • @youngnailsinc

      Yes it does to an extent, if a person live where cost of living and cost of services are lower than they probably will charge less than someone from here where you can charge 90+ for a full set. However, a lot of people will say that without actually looking to see what other techs are getting.

      if you are right handed and you are e-filing your right hand using your left, you switch to reverse depending on which way your right hand is facing. If that makes sense. If you have your fingers bent downward into your palm like almost making a fist, you use reverse. If you work on your right hand while it is flat facing away from you keep it in forward.

    Love these tutorial videos so much! This particular video is very helpful and no matter how much you use the Efile it's great to see a TRUE PRO do it. I swear I hear Greg in my head every time I am doing nails...."tickle tickle, pillow, feather feather, what I want to be able to do is...."! You wouldn't believe how helpful it is!!

    If you want to remove the acrylic without reapplying again would you keep filing away?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When the acrylic got thin enough, you could soak the rest off for a few minutes and you should be good.

    What about taking it all the way off like the client wants to leave with no Acrylic left on the nails at all? Can you do a video on that please? 🤍

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if you are able to get it filed down close to the nail like in this video, at that point you can soak it on acetone for 5-6 mins and be able to lightly buff the rest off.
