In this video, John explains why your doctor's are wrong about Fibromyalgia. It's actually a collection of stress conditions - only. Once you cure yourself, your body will revert back to normal with no permanent damage.
This is based on the teachings by Dr. John Sarno MD and his diagnosis of Tension Myositis Syndrome or TMS. Anxiety can also cause fibromyalgia symptoms.

The phycological issues stem from living in that kind of pain on a daily basis.

I live a very calm, quiet lifestyle and have fibromyalgia . This is not something just caused by stress. It is an actual condition, syndrome. I think the Mayo clinic may know more about it than you do. I'm offended by one more person saying that it isn't a medical condition, or Illness. I've had severe fibro throughout the 80s and 90s, and since then, iit has improved. I've spent 4 decades paying attention to what may be the causes of its coming on, and it totally seems to be at random. There is an actual physical cause for this illness, I live it every day. I know.

I said that for 40 years darling, I wish I'd met good therapists during that time. You need to dig deeper. I lived in stress from the day I was born and this is why I didn't realise how bad it was. Maybe you are like me. You'll be dead by the time they find a physical cause they can make pills for... Research on childhood trauma, narcissism, resentment... whatever. Dr Sarno was correct. The issue is that regular doctors do not know how to teach us to get out of that state, but they feel it's not a regular disease so send us home. Don't deny yourself the last few decades of your life bc your symptoms are so real.

I am also a fb patient. I’ve had it for decades. I live with excruciating pain on a daily basis. Been through every test there is and then my rheumatologist came up with fb. I’ve had the pain very early on. Teen years and now I’m 70. One of my drs came up with a pain plan so I cold function with it. If you’ve never lived with it you don’t know. I’ve missed out on so many things in my life because of it. Birthdays, weddings, funerals, graduations, vacations. I could go on and on. I’ve been reading about castor oil therapies so I’m going to try it. This ailment is no joke. I’m finally retired now so I can rest when I get extremely painful flare ups. I keep looking for ways and what to take to help with this. Thank you for listening to me ❤

The bottom line is…no one knows exactly what’s causing the pain and fatigue. Every video I watch is something different. I have lived with chronic fatigue and fatigue since about age seven. Now I am in my early sixties. I believe it started when my two older siblings asked me to sit on a chair and they moved the chair and I fell. I hit the floor is hard I thought my eyes had come out of their sockets. From that day my life changed. I tried everything and I mean everything. Nothing worked so far. But I am determined to beat this illness one day…

I was diagnosed in 1990 with SLE. Now retired and in remission with zero stress, been told I have FM. I walk everyday, eat well, live a quiet life and don't have any physiological issues. This is not in my imagination and I avoid taking meds but my body pain is getting worse each day and sleeping with chronic pain in the early hours of the morning is a reality.

Reduce the stress that’s causing the symptom? But you can’t reduce stress 100% because it’s a part of life. In my experience of Fibromyalgia, my brain is not dealing well with stress…it’s hypersensitive & over reactive to stress. I first developed PTSD & then Fibromyalgia…it feels like the PTSD which is my brain over reacting to stress by going into fight-flight unnecessarily has over time, resulted in the breakdown of my body…Fibromyalgia. For me, the real question is how do I heal my brain so it handles normal life stressors well? The traumas of the past are over but they have changed my brain to one that can’t handle stress.

I think most people have said what I was already going to say, so I won’t repeat everything similar again…I have a few medical conditions, including fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue….i have tried to reduce my pain meds, but haven’t had much joy, the dreaded chronic pain was still there but even more severe..Even my meds don’t get rid of all my fibromyalgia pain, it works just enough so some days I can get out of bed, and slightly function as a human being….i don’t have much quality of life, and I would seriously change that in a heartbeat…do you know how my heart hurts, knowing I can’t take my grandchildren out to the park?take them for a picnic? Take them out on a summers day trip out? Yes I think everyone hear, will feel the same…but I seriously have studied fibromyalgia since my 2016 diagnosis, which I wouldn’t accept at first…..But not to be rude, just to be honest and speak my mind, but I seriously know, you truly don’t know anything about Fibromyalgia and all the pain that goes with it…I don’t choose to live like this, it chose me..and I think inflammation of the inside of the body does play apart, in all our pain, from what I have studied…….but you don’t make any of us, feel any better, or have hope in what you say, so sorry but you ain’t got a damn clue………..

Oral medication is not the answer for fibromyalgia. Go on a low, inflammatory diet, no sugar, wheat, or gluten, and no nightshade vegetables. Ensure a healthy gut biome and drink adequate water. Myofascial release, stretching, and acupuncture help. I believe fibromyalgia is genetic. Subsequently, the only connection between psychological and emotional stress is that it just makes what you already have worse.

Severe whiplash causes one to be a prime candidate for fibromyalgia. Myself and others share this common cause. I've been having fibromyalgia since 2002 and the only thing that caused me to get better was a regimen of:: trigger point injections, massage therapy, physical therapy, calcium and magnesium, and melatonin. All (except trigger point injections) have to be done at the very SAME time for two weeks and that's how I got better.

    • @thorn421

Wow. This is a very uneducated view. There have been studies done that show neuroinflammation as well as high glutamate levels in the brains of people with Fibromyalgia....it is now considered a neurological condition...not just stress. Does stress increase pain? Of course is does, but contibuting a very real condition, that has now been proven, to just stress, is very narrow minded. There was a study on B1 deficiency as a treatment for Fibromyalgia that was very successful....the deficiency causes neurological and digestive issues. Thats the most promising research so far. I don't know who made this guy the authority on Fibromyalgia.

Well, I must say I completely disagree with you. I've been living with Fibromyalgia for 10+ years now and I'm also a medical provider. It is definitely medical and it is real. When I was ignorant I didn't believe in this diagnosis, and struggled. It is absolutely exacerbated by stress, therefore reducing stress decreases pain and fatigue. But there are other symptoms besides pain, arrhythmia is a manifestation as well as fluctuations in blood pressure. Now that the limbic system is being recognized as the source of the issue, they are getting better treatments. I cannot stand it when people say it isn't real. This is a very disabling condition. The unrefreshed sleep leads to fatigue and weakness. Tizanidine combined with metoprolol is my best friend because I'm able to get refreshed sleep and can function, but the chronic pain sensation and amplification is still there. Multimodal approach with medicines, exercise, relaxation techniques, etc works best

Comparing Fibromyalgia to breaking your arm is ridiculous. I’ve broken my hand whilst having fibromyalgia and I’ll say this breaking a one is a walk in the park compared to having fibromyalgia. Stress may be one of the causes for getting fibromyalgia, a decline in hormones is another, there are many other possible causes. Once you have it you can’t get rid of it, maybe for those who don’t have severe symptoms, but for people like me that have every single symptom and one’s not mentioned there is no getting rid of it. I’ve tried everything legally and illegally. You can’t sustain LSD, Psilocybin, DMT as a medicine I’ve tried. The only thing that has aided me is steroids for my testosterone, nandrolone for pain, HGH, peptides also. A diet which is high carbs and high protein, 75g of fats a day of fish in particular ones with omega 3.

Adhesions, thats the cause, remove the adhesions and your pain is gone virtually instantly, Your nerves are adhesing to the muscles and even at rest the nerve is being pulled on causing phantom pain from the nerve, Deep tissue message and locating the nerves is all it takes to be pain free, the nerve will feel like a noodle when its located, message the surrounding tissue agressively freeing the nerve from the muscle, it is just amazing because even though it makes your muscle tender for a day, the nerve pain is gone instantly, you will be amazed, I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel 10 years ago, i refused surgery, i fixed it in 10 minutes by literally digging into my forearm and wrist, the relief was immediate and lasted for weeks, more message and it lasted longer, doctors are the biggest liars on earth.

I believe you are way off base on your theory. Most of what you respond to when responding to the Mayo Clinic is a black and white answer. The Mayo Clinic is saying there are a lot of variables to fibromyalgia and it diagnosis. I will give you, my case. About 13 years ago I had my third surgery for carpal tunnel on my left wrist. With in 3 months my left forearm started having a tingling sensation, feeling of extreme heat, muscle soreness, bone pain and skin sensitivity. The symptoms slowly spread from my left arm to my chest and then the lower legs and finally to my stomach area. I believe it's the bodies response trying to deal with a physical trauma and the body not finding a way to regulate the pain. From your video I feel you have a bias against the medical community, and this is the way you respond to your pain.

They used to say that heart attacks were caused by stress until they discovered that stress was caused by heart attacks. They used to say that stomach ulcers were caused by stress until they discovered that stress was caused by stomach ulcers. Now fibromyalgia is caused by stress. Just reduce the stress and it will go away. Good luck with that.

This seems like such a tunnel vision outlook to whatever wide spread chronic pain condition that so many people suffer from. I can be job related ( I was a hairdresser so overuse of the muscles) , another condition can bring on Fibro, EG Endometriosis, and traumatic incidents such as abuse or childbirth etc, but ‘de stressing’ won’t just get rid of it🤣😞....There is sadly NO CURE, only management such as massage, acupuncture, chiropractic etc. The pain comes back no matter what you do!!
