I think the weirdest part of the entire movie was elizabeth just turning from a living human to a ghost without any actual reason why. She didnt fall over and her spirit leave her body she just went vwoop.
Oregon, aka Bowen Island, British Columbia. Gorgeous place to film, horrendous dogshit of a remake. I think The Fog 1980 is maybe the most atmospheric movie off all time, great characters and tied for first as my favorite JC score. The remake seemed to come out around the time of 100 other horror remakes, very few of which were worth the ticket price. Dawn of the Dead and TCM being the exception. Shit I'd much rather have Rob Zombie do the remake than Rupert Wainwright.
"The Fog" would have been John Carpenters BEST movie, if there were no "HALLOWEEN", no "Escape from New York" and no "Assault on Precinct 13". BUT it is one of my most fave movies of my fave Director John Carpenter. And the movie has every BEST actor of John Carpenter in it except Kurt Russel. But for him we had JANET LEIGH in it, her best work since ALFRED HITCHCOCKs "Psycho 1" 1960 ! :) :) :) :)
Honestly my friend, I believe that you just grew up, therefore the evolution of your experience has been stifled, due to your nostalgic love for the original.
You may be right haha
Either way, hopefully someday we get a remake/re-imagining of the original that continues the tone and does it some justice.
I gotta ask who wrote the script was it one of those times where they had five different writers or what
WTF indeed. What a terrible movie!
A great supernatural remake The Ring.
The Fog remake SUCKED so bad
I watched it thinking: it can't be that bad. WRONG.
This may sound a bit weird but I am not a massive horror fan (I watched the intro to the first Nightmare on Elm Street when I was like 4 and it scarred me and outside of some Friday the 13ths I generally avoid them lol_ but love your reviews man! Quick question...any thoughts on the Bunnyman Massacre *Its on Tubi if you've never heard of it)
Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying the reviews.
Bunnyman massacre doesn’t ring a bell. Recommend it? Is it a slasher?
@@MadBloodMatt It's modeled after the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Cannibal family and weirdo in a costume set in Rural California instead of Texas
This film does not have a constant sense of dread and great acting!!!!
Wow what is HORRIBLE... horrible acting, and plot changes
A pretty bad remake from a ,honestly, not that good film.
You don’t like the original? 😢
