      mm hh elephants are pretty good at figuring out stuff since they are so smart, I think it might have realized guns as potential danger that he doesn't want to fuck with from maybe warning shots or maybe a member of his pride was shot etc. Can't assume anything but it could be possible I think

    • @patrick5044
      @patrick5044 6 ปีที่แล้ว +115

      From my point of view, I'd say that most animals don't recognize the gun itself, but they do recognize humans as "rifles" in general.
      Man started throwing rocks at other creatures since the dawn of time; evolving, he started using spears, bows and arrows, then guns.
      Millions of years of evolution tell most animals that humans are dangerous, even from a long distance.

      from what i've learned when i was in SA, where i also had guides, or rather rangers who worked with the kruger park. they told me that if a lion charges me to never back down, don't move backwards, stare right into its eyes and even to throw things like stones at it. if it charges you could raise your arms, make steps towards it and scream. in short: show dominance.
      But then again he also said that if a lion charges you for real (they also do mock-charges) there is little chance of it actually being effective.

      What do you think the man in the baseball hat is holding in his hand, an umbrella? Just because it's dull and unsexy doesn't mean that's not a massive rifle. I could almost hear the violin pizzicatto pings as the elephant gingerly stepped backward and stepped out of the scene going, "Shit! shit! shit!" under its breath the whole time. He clearly saw something he was afraid of. Do you really think the animals don't know what a Great White Hunter is? Run!!!

      As someone who worked eith elephants. I know it was just a bluff and he was playing what the averagr person calls "chicken" when he really was just trying to establish territorial superiority. Elephants can recognize guns however it was not the gun that scared him. Most people who go wandering an african savana will carry a rifle for protection. My reasoning for why it wasn't the gun that scared him: an elephants vision is moderate, he recognized the gun from the distance he started charging from. All animals have a "personal bubble" some animals run away from you when you're 100 ft away and some when you're 5 ft away. The man and the elephant were at the edge of this said personal bubble of the elephant and it realized this humans confidence and fearlessness and submitted to the territorial supperiority. If the man cowered in fear by the time he was within the bubble, the elephant would have established his confidence and won the standoff. Please please open your eyes beyond your own fears before making everything political. Politics makes everyone bitter andblinded to what is truely moral and people become hateful in politics. Yes, guns are a political issue.

    The other person I've read stopping a charging bull elephant is Gautama Buddha. The Buddha didn't say anything but raised His right palm facing the charging elephant and directed His love and compassion. The elephant stopped and kneeled down.

    For those wondering, it was a bluff maneuver the elephant pulled, but the guide still needs to assert his dominance since this young bull really wants to prove his stuff and it's the guide's job to protect the couple. The gun's the last resort, not the first. He's basically doing what a mom elephant would do when a baby is nearby and there's an over-eager young suitor wanting her attention.

    Elephants are one of the most intelligent species. It knew somehow, by the confidence in how the guide raised his hand, and probably the rifle, that the guide could kill him or her. Natural instinct is amazing.

They spook and annoy the elephant to justify their kill. I join the curse of these innocent creatures that these people will soon pay for killing of elephants and other wildlife in hell.

      RAJA KRISHNAN the force within, chi, energy, specific energy frequency with love and compassion from the man, the elephant felt there was no danger. Another term would be steering the tornado. Quantum mechanics, we all have this ability. The church has tried to hide this power within. Religion and education systematically places limits on your thinking, limits on what they will inculcate into you, never supply the tools to turn earth into paradise. Only create discourse, division and fear. Quit church and enter the temple. Shalom

    • @JEAthePrince
      @JEAthePrince 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Electron Hop brother.u have no idea. We the people of God never hid this. We encouraged this and all the prophets did. The love within and for God is endless and His love for us is endless. We never hid this. But the men followed laws rather than their hearts. Go to Jesus if you believe in the Power of God and He will show you the Power within

    • @electronhop616
      @electronhop616 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chosen One I have the ones I need. Of course the church hides the truth. Nothing but faith brokers, pulling the emotional strings of hurting people. Promising nonexistent realities. Religion hijacked spirituality 1500 years ago, you my friend are under Jesuit mind control and haven't s clue. Not only that so brainwashed you won't even consider the possibility you've been had. Ive researched this for the last 15 years. Ancient histories of all cultures, Astro theology, Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroaster, Hebrew, Islam, the most fake of all Christianity. Do you honestly believe you will find the ultimate truth, from a canonized, edited for your consumption. Originally supposed to be an instruction manual for mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. Not to be taken literal or historical. Parables that teach higher truths. Countries war because they take the Bible literally. It's about man, his battles with his own mind. Overcoming emotions, but not so intellectual to loose sight of love and compassion. Jesus is a frequency of love and compassion, we must find and share. That frequency is only a minuscule away from that of bliss. Find that and share that. Zachious wasn't a short man in height, the crowd he could not see over, was his ego and carnal mind. Moses and Pharoh, Pharaoh is your ego. Let go my eggo, let my ego go.
