I mean, nitrox also refers to mixes of gas with less than 21% o2, so you would be using that for greater depths.

The point they are making is that you can use it as an oxygen CCR with 6 metre max depth or in SCR mode with nitrox with max depth depending on nitrox blend.

Dräger won't sell new oxygen rebreathers to anyone other than military forces - you may be able to get an old/vintage model like the LAR 5, but it's my understanding Dräger try to avoid selling old kit to public.
Many, many years ago I tried to buy a Dräger LAR 5 (c.30yrs+ ago) from Dräger in the UK, but they made it totally clear that to would not sell a Dräger LAR 5 to individuals. There are very occasional LAR V sets on eBay, but they are rarely usable and Dräger will not sell spares.

It´s fun and games, but when we need parts or want to buy equipment the are not in stock, out of commission, or only military use... why put out it on TH-cam at all?
