If they real want to make something futuristic they should build a scuba tank with 3 compartments, oxygen, nitrogen, helium. But the tank auto mix on the fly automaticly based on depth(pressure).
There is Sooo much room for improvements in the diving technology. Seriously can't wait to see what people start to come up with, Especially with AI and 3d printing..
That doesn't make sense. You'd loose too much capacity subdividing the tank to make sense. A 3 tank system with compact mixer/regulator would make more sense.
A bp/w isn't just for technical divers, recreational divers can and do use it. Having used both, and a lot of people agree with me, a bp/w is often more comfortable and way more flexible. That being said, it isn't for everyone and that's fine. Thank you for giving us a look into DEMA 2022
Of all the accessories, I think the most important is the trash collection bag, a must-have accessory for anyone who loves diving and of course the sea!
My Uncle had an old sea hunt double hose Aqua lung at our cottage in Hope Bay Ontario. I've been certified since 1980 but would use the Jethro Tull in the late 1960's and early 70's. I've dove the Great lakes for 50 years. My Gramps made a dive wing we pulled behind the boat. What a riot. Thanks for a great video. I subbed .
Thanks for a little insight into some of the new products there. Did Subgravity by chance mention if there have been updates to the X-CCR or other rebreathers? What's new? :)
02:10 - scubajet is 2.5K, for recreational use that's a lot. You can buy a Subnado for 500, not same quality or run time, but hey, you can buy 5 of them for that price.
The portable thing is cool, but not having a tank, it can fill, with a warning that’s audio warning, that pings 3 times letting you know you need to bail, Easy, bypass switch to fill, then turn on once it’s running at psi, threw a regulator, it’s basically a nice pump with filter system, that runs on a power tool style battery setup on a float toy
Not sure but at 8:10 or so there is an automotive type hose clamp on the rebreather hose. That seems a bit sketchy? Maybe they are attaching the regulator to the support for demo purposes
Call me sentimental, but I wish Aqualung would bring back the Cousteau BC. Mine is 20+ years old now, and I still love the way it fits and works. Simplicity and functionality. Unfortunately I haven't been to DEMA in a long long time. The new rebreather gear/system looks promising.
I have 2 nomads and I use them alot. Compared to Nemo, the Nomad is heavier and a little more cumbersome because of the hose length. Nomad allows you to go to 30 feet deep though. So if your max depth of your dive locations is more than 12 feet you would be better with Nomad. But if you do alot of shallow dives, then Nemo is the way to go
9:59 quick question - You have just a normal set of goggles with a camera mount in the brownies sea lion segment. Can I ask what kind of goggles those are and would you recommend? Thanks
How long can you stay underwater with the rebreather? Do you have to fill a tank with pure oxygen? Or just regular air? How much is the co2 absorption filter, how long does it last?
08:37 unclip and drop ?! i aint dropping 5k worth rebreather i better stay there with it i am joking ofcouse.. i hope one day will get one rebreather they look show intersting unfortently are kinda expensive for my budget and i feel not so sure because if something failed you cant tell otherwise yeah you could have some second airtank in case of emergengy.. emm anyways thanks for the video is nice to see all these new things that are coming in the market
Something I would love to see is a product that protects your ears so you can equalize easier and it keeps the water out so you have less chance of getting an ear infection. I've been diving for MANY years and having ear aches or infections after a dive is a huge bummer and even after all these years, my ears are just difficult to equalize so I always have to dive slower than most people due to my difficulty with equalizing. If they invent a product to fix that, it would sell like hotcakes. I know I'm not the only one with that issue - for sure.
I've been looking for a computer watch that is programed to let you know when to make a decompression stop while ascending and again to start ascending to the surface again. Does that exist?
I would love to be able to drive swim and see the underwater world first hand .but my size makes it impossible . I am more of a float than anything else
I have a friend who is over 300 pounds and dives. I'd get checked out by your doctor to see if there is any physical reason other than size to keep you from diving, but minus any pre-existing illnesses, I don't see why you can't dive.
Rebreathers have been around since the 1800s! Thats what combat divers were using in WW2 and still today, SCUBA dosent have any application in TACTICAL dive operations.
The DPV shouldn’t need both triggers pulled to propel…. What if a shark bit your hand or arm off, or you somehow injured your hand, or maybe you’re narcd and cant coordinate both hands to squeeze.
If you've never seen an eCCR before you must have only started diving in the last year. I've been diving ECCRS like the XCCR since 2006 and they've been available to recreational SCUBA divers since the 1990's andhave been mainstream diving equipment for more than a decade. There are many makes and models of eCCRs from manufacturers across the UK, Europe and the USA. AP Diving in England are the biggest maker and make the Inspiration, ISC in the USA make the Megalodon and Pathfinder and there are many other brands. What stone have you been living under? Mahbe you should learn
mmmm... the Scubajet has 200Wh of battery capacity and a 1000W motor. So at 30% power the battery will last for 40min. At 100% it will last for 12 minutes. Yeah... not really usefull for scuba but nice try.
@@JoeOceansidedoesn’t make it right. ROV Remotely Operated Vehicle. It’s tethered. Drones are controlled by radio frequencies, not tethered. I asked because I have both aerial drones and a couple QYSEA FIFISH ROVs thank you good conversation sir!
Beware the ScubaJet, I tried to buy it from the USA manager, it was a total joke, never they could get any of my cards to charge, tried buy it in October 2022, they have NONE on the shelf in USA, all must be shipped from Austria (they claimed 3 weeks backlog, good luck) . Then I checked out the LeFeet, totally different attitude, lot's of stock in the USA, manager took care of me right away, card charged no problem. ScubaJet has some bad reviews on the net, too risky.
so we dont need electric cars ..lol what we need is our old cars modified with a rebreather to eliminate co2 .. car engines intake clean air and give off co2 damn i kist solved a world problem.. hey musk i got an idea......
If they real want to make something futuristic they should build a scuba tank with 3 compartments, oxygen, nitrogen, helium. But the tank auto mix on the fly automaticly based on depth(pressure).
Don’t most CCRs already do that with oxygen and helium ?
There is Sooo much room for improvements in the diving technology. Seriously can't wait to see what people start to come up with, Especially with AI and 3d printing..
Excellent idea. I'm sure DARPA is on that.
That doesn't make sense. You'd loose too much capacity subdividing the tank to make sense. A 3 tank system with compact mixer/regulator would make more sense.
Soon AI will be designing every crazy idea that we can come up with, just wait a little bit more my friend

love watching older people explain smart tech
Explain the phone with the dial. What is it?

I was fascinated by anything underwater as a child, this post took 50 years off me.
5:58 that bag would be good for fossil hunting dives.

the folding fins are sick... plus the replace parts is sick
Sick? Does that means you dont like it?
The trshbbag product could be subsidized by municipalities or states so you "give" them away to divers or beach goers.
Just picked up my own Trshbg after seeing it on this video. Should be arriving today. Looking forward to using it.
Treyu from Trshbg has got the best hair style in DEMA!

Dive talk should react to this masterpiece
Great video! 🥰🥰Thx for coming to see #FIFISH!
Sea hunt Loyd Bridges, this is what got me into scuba. I learned on these rigs! I remember when the single hole came out. Bought one of the first.
Awesome content man! featured some real interesting companies and gear! Thanks and look forward to my first DEMA opportunity.
question how did your record while wearing a mask underwater.. did you do a voiceover. or was that a live feed to your go pro?
Nice stuff im diver and need to go to you show on diving innovation
Did you not see the Avelo booth!??
That was by far the most innovative product at DEMA.

I want the foldable fins.
thanks
Ehhh, I’d have to try them. My rubber Apollo split fins work super well and although heavier can be put in a backpack as well.
Are they strong?
great video and cool see them!! look like you had fun! have a good afternoon. i hope all is well.

@@JoeOceanside your welcome Joe!
How do you pop your ears with the hard full face mask?
Did you check out the O’Dive system? It was really cool to learn about at DEMA. It was through Paragons booth near Garmin in the tec section
No I missed that. I will have to look it up. What is it?
I was hoping you were going to show off the combat dive gear :-)
Great video Joe!
Wow imagine if someone invented a line to a float. You could put all the trash on the line and when you get to the surface you pull it all up, wow!
Hi Joe, have you tried the Blu3 Nomad and if so can you compare it to the Nemo? Is it worth the money? Thanks Ivo

Why isnt a dive computer that has a hud integrated into a dive mask common place? It would solve cave diving low vis situations
I've seen attempts, none worked well.
Awesome

There is a pure oxygen tank which injects just the right amount into the air that you are rebreathing. I do not know how long it lasts
@@JoeOceanside thanks for the reply & the report!
Most rebreathers last 2-3 hours, but some last 4-6 hours. It depends on the scrubber capacity and O2 tank size.
I found trshbg a few months ago. Looks like a great solution for all the fishing sinkers I find.
Why divers don't use liquid oxygen. Warm it using the surrounding water? Would it be possible in the future?
Is there a Part 2 coming?
Im a malaysian Coast Guard, these things are necessaries for ship/rescue divers...
SOS gear and Helicopter drop gear to people in distress would be nice too.

Same problem here.
If you trap air in your outer ear canal, you're not going to be able to equalise it .
I don't think you're going to see a product like that .
Un, what products do you sell for bull sharks, tiger sharks, and great white sharks in the Atlantic Ocean? 👀
A tape with orca sounds.
Where can I find the Brownies Sea Lion

Number 7 seems dangerous. With a tank you can watch the gas deplete. And if it fails it free flow. With that rig it just stop delivery of air.
Rebreathers have been around since the 1800s! Thats what combat divers were using in WW2 and still today, SCUBA dosent have any application in TACTICAL dive operations.
That was the Beckmam Electrolung.1975 $1200 "dive as deep as you want for as long as you want."
Probably that rebreater doesn't have nitrogen narcosis effect.
👏👌
I think you need to look up the definition of free diving! 🤣
