    I don't usually comment on these things, but fill like in this case a commendation is more than warranted: straight to the point, clear explanation with visual cues, not wasting anyone's time with overtaking or tangent topics, just efficiently delivering the message. THANK YOU!

      that was not straight to the point. the first one minute could be removed and nothing of value would be lost. not sure about the rest, stopped watching after 10% of the video was already just filler

    Jonathan's Deep Blue Loveshak?
    Great explanation - I'll probably recommend it in the future. The physical props really help a lot.
    My favourite rebreather explanation video has been the one by Richard Harris (the Thai cave rescue guy) and he starts super simple and slowly moves into more in-depth than most explanations.
    Even if you know how a rebreather works already you'll probably learn something from that one.

    • @mikeyoung8968
      @mikeyoung8968 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your rebreather should be based on the type of diving you do. If you are in cold deep water off a rocking boat it would be different than a shallow warm water reef dive.

  • @kumbackquatsta
    @kumbackquatsta ปีที่แล้ว +2

    fantastic. on average how much does a rebreather extend your time underwater?

    • @mikeyoung8968
      @mikeyoung8968 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In most cases it is based on the amount of CO2 absorbent in the canisters. Most run a minimum of 4 hours.

      @BlueWorldplus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How often do you have to replace the scrubber kitty litter?

    • @BlueWorldplus
      @BlueWorldplus  ปีที่แล้ว

      As a rule of thumb....a pound of scrubber material lasts about an hour. So, a rebreather with a scubber canister that holds three pounds can go three hours, then you replace the material. Those numbers are kind of worst case though...a big guy working hard makes more CO2 than a small guy not working that hard. Real world tests have shown that the average diver gets more like 90 minutes per pound, but it varies from person to person.
