This is so cool, thank you for sharing your experience with us. A lot of Christians are quick to shut down the exploration of the spiritual/energetic properties of something as dangerous or related to spiritism. I appreciate your objective opinion on the manner. I'm also chronically Ill and suffer from hypersensitivity so I was looking for something like this.

I don't know that I'd say your a "liberal Christian". I would say you're a thoughtful, considerate human being. And that's a really nice quality. I'm a narrow minded "conservtive Christian" and that's what I try to be!

There is an easy way I get into a relaxed state. Try wim Hofs breathing method. You can do it quicker and still get into this completely relaxed state and helps me focus on prayer a bit easier

My perceptive towards unguided meditation is actually to allow the mind to be free to wonder with thoughts in order to go anywhere and everywhere. Obviously, the mind usually wonders towards emotional injuries or some negative things. This feels scary (even to me as I write this) but is quite normal. However, the ideal is to reconcile everything in God. Literally, "EVERYTHING" most especially the negative thoughts (or energy). Think about it as going around your house looking for nasty things and then handing them over to the garbage man - lolz. Also, the thoughts that comes to the individual, with time, will not always be negative. Positive ones do come. And when they do, it is possible to enjoy them and also to thank God for them. Some spiritual books advise not to hold on to them too, but to continue with the state of free flow of thoughts (or energy) whilst reconciling it all to or in God who is the source of all energy. Whilst guided meditation gives some structure and direction to one's mental state, unguided meditation allows one to explore and discovery things within.

Also frankincense pure essential oils are very light. It does not last long in a diffuser. It’s best to use the resin but not on charcoal. Break the resins into smaller piece (smash it with a rolling pin while resin is in a bag) - use a oil burner/tea light candle Burner and place a bit (small amount) of carrier oil like olive oil in the top and put the resin pieces in there. When you heat it it gives a very nice smell, and also lasts much longer than it would for charcoal. I myself don’t think helps my spiritual practice I just think it helps our mood.

Buy an electric incense burner, I have this one for resin and oils and I love it. It’s used daily, has a timer and shuts off when times up th-cam.com/video/h9V5rdTqEmo/w-d-xo.html

There is a term in Judaism for those mitzvah’s or commands that seemingly make no sense. You just do them because god said so. 🤷🏽

You need to use the "SACRED" frankincense, which is the "boswellia SACRA" you used the
Boswellia "CARTERII" . NOW FOODS only have the carterii not the sacra. God bless!!

Ooh thanks for the suggestion! I did not know that there were different types of frankincense. Makes sense though. I might need to try the right type as a Part Two to this video. :)

Sure, but there are no manuscripts. Only the Bible can be reconstructed from the ancient times. No other work of that time has so so many manuscripts available (more then 6000 early manuscripts) that you can reconstruct the original text with a 99.8% accuracy.
